VIENTIANE, 28th September — President Bounnhang Vorachith of the Democratic People’s Republic of Laos, has received the credentials of Khaled Ibrahim Abdul Aziz Shuhail, UAE Ambassador to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and the Non-Resident Ambassador in Laos, during an official ceremony at the Presidential Palace in Vientiane.
The UAE Ambassador conveyed the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to President Vorachith and their wishes for his good health and happiness, and prosperity for the people of Laos.
The Laotian President also reciprocated his greetings to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, and wished the UAE government and people continuous progress and prosperity.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations and ways of developing them in various fields.
President Vorachith also highlighted the active role the UAE plays in the regional and international arenas, expressing his appreciation for the appointment of a UAE Non-Resident Ambassador in his country to boost cooperation between the two countries.
