Strong winds and thunderstorms are forecast across the country this week with high temperatures expected in central and southern Laos.
According to a notice issued by the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology, temperatures will be higher during the day for central and southern areas, including Vientiane Capital.
The weather report says there will also be rain and windy weather in store throughout Laos from 13 to 16 May.
Weather will be hot in central and northwestern provinces, with temperatures ranging from 21 to 39 degrees Celsius, while the southern provinces will see temperatures rising to as high as 40 degrees.
Vientiane Capital will see lows of 24 and highs of up to 38 degrees this week and will experience rain, strong winds, and storms.
Meanwhile, the northeastern provinces and Xaysomboune Province will see warm weather between 15 to 31 degrees, while the Bolaven Plateau will experience milder weather between 14 to 28 degrees.
Authorities have warned people across the country to be cautious of extreme weather, including thunderstorms and strong winds.
