President Thongloun Sisoulith will visit China for the first time as President of Laos with his wife and other officials. The purpose of the visit is to further strengthen Laos and China’s friendly relations and comprehensive cooperation.
He would be the third ASEAN head of state to visit China this year, after Indonesian President Joko Widodo in July and Vietnamese Communist Party chief Nguyen Phu Trong in October, according to South China Morning Post.
