Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of Thailand has been diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat (heart arrhythmia), according to a statement issued by the Royal Household Bureau on Sunday.

The Thaiger reports that the 67-year-old princess was admitted to King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital in November and received radiofrequency ablation treatment for her condition. The princess had earlier recovered from having an abnormally rapid heartbeat.

The princess was discharged on December 4 and she returned to Sa Pathum Palace to recover.

The princess’s medical team believed her condition to be a new type of heart arrhythmia, which they assured was only temporary and would resolve on its own.

Health professionals advised Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn to take a break from royal duties until her heart condition stabilized.

Meanwhile, according to palace authorities, the eldest child of Thailand’s King Vajiralongkorn, Princess Bajrakitiyabha continues to be unconscious but in stable condition, after she collapsed during a military training exercise in the Khao Yai national park in Pak Chong District two weeks ago.
