Almost every province in Laos will record higher temperatures this week, says the latest weather report from the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology.
While rain and thunderstorms might offer temporary relief from the heat, the country will still see scorching temperatures this week, along with strong winds.
Maximum temperatures in Vientiane Capital could go as high as 36-40 degrees during the day, accompanied by bouts of rain, thunderstorm, and strong winds.
Meanwhile, central Laos, including Vientiane Province and Savannakhet, could experience temperatures ranging between 35-40 degrees during the day and 22-25 degrees during the night.
The northern region, including Phongsaly, Houaphanh, and Xieng Khouang, may see thick fog and rainfall, but it will remain hot, with temperatures ranging between 16-18 degrees at night and 30-32 degrees during the day.
The northwest region, with provinces like Luang Namtha and Bokeo, will also face scorching weather, with the highest temperatures between 36-40 degrees in the afternoon, except for Luang Prabang, which is likely to experience cooler weather of 23-25 degrees.
The southern part of the country will also see considerably hot weather with a maximum temperature of 37-40 degrees.
