Laos will experience slightly warmer weather compared to last week, with wind, thunderstorms, and light rain predicted across the country.
According to the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology, in Vientiane Capital, temperatures will be slightly higher than last week, with occasional rainfall in some areas. Though lows could drop to 23-25 degrees, highs of 36-39 degrees are also expected.
The northeast region, comprising Phongsaly, Houaphanh, and Xieng Khouang provinces, will experience cooler weather in the mornings, with temperatures increasing during the day. The lowest expected temperature is around 15-19 degrees, with maximum temperatures ranging from 29-32 degrees.
Residents in the northwest region, which includes Oudomxay, Bokeo, and Luang Namtha provinces, can expect slightly hotter weather and some mild rain or thunderstorms. Lows of 22-24 degrees may occur, with highs of 36-39 degrees.
Similar weather patterns are forecast for central Laos, home to Vientiane province, Xaysomboun, Bolikhamxay, Khammouane, and Savannakhet. The lowest temperature will hover around 22-25 degrees, while the highest will reach 36-39 degrees.
Southern provinces, including Pakse, Sekong, Salavanh, Attapeu, and Paksong, will experience hot weather and see an occasional thin layer of fog, with light rain or thunderstorms in some areas. The lowest temperature could be around 25-28 degrees and highs could reach 36-39 degrees.
Bolaven Plateau will remain relatively cold but slightly hotter than usual. Lows between 17-19 degrees and highs from 27-29 degrees are expected in the region.
While the low pressure is expected to decrease, Laos will still experience overall hot weather and some rains this week.
