Early Bird Tickets for Luang Prabang Music Festival Gone in Five Minutes

This Week

The inaugural Luang Prabang Music Festival (LPMF) has received an overwhelming response, with all 1,000 Super Early Bird passes sold within just five minutes of release. The rapid ticket sales highlight strong local support for the event and signal a positive boost for the city’s tourism and service sectors.

Organizers hope that the festival, scheduled for 29-30 November, will establish a solid foundation for future editions, attracting broader participation from across the ASEAN region.

Operating under the theme “Sound of Mountain, Spirit of Mekong,” LPMF is positioned as a key initiative to promote the UNESCO World Heritage city of Luang Prabang as a major regional destination.

Luang Prabang is easily accessible to international visitors, with direct flights connecting the city to major regional hubs such as Bangkok, Hanoi, and Siem Reap. Festival organizers are working closely with local airline partners to enhance its appeal, reinforcing the city’s reputation as a convenient center for culture and tourism.

A representative of the organizing committee expressed gratitude for the strong community support, saying: “We are very thankful for the community’s strong support. The quick ticket sales confirm the nation’s enthusiasm for this cultural event. We are committed to delivering a memorable festival that respectfully connects our rich Lao heritage with contemporary artistic expression.”

The festival, to be staged at Naluang Stadium, will feature top Lao artists, including Tai Akard, Tanu, Gomen, Imel, DaoNear, and Ling L-Zone, alongside regional performers such as Thailand’s Musketeers, HYPE TRAIN, Thid Am, and Getsunova.
