The value of trade in Saravan province climbed to more than 1.5 trillion kip over the first nine months of this fiscal year, up 17.76 percent compared to the same period last year.
The provincial Industry and Commerce Department said most of the trade was wholesale
and amounted to more than 636.9 billion kip, followed by retail sales that generated more than 529.3 billion kip, the Lao Economic Daily reported yesterday. The value of exports fell by 10 percent over the same period while imports fell by 19.77 percent kip.
