Sokxay Group Gets Appointed as Sales Representative for Dao Coffee

This Week

The Sokxay Group has become the sales representative of Dao Coffee after both companies signed a contract to this effect on 5 May.

The contract was signed in Vientiane Capital, following a successful feasibility study on the establishment of a Dao Coffee sales representative which began last month.

The cooperation contract was signed by the Group’s President, Mr. Sokxay Somchayneuk, and the CEO of Dao Coffee Co., Ltd., Mr. Vannada Phomasthit, and was witnessed by the Champassak Governor, Dr. Vilayvong Bouddakham; Minister of Industry and Commerce, Mr. Malaythong Kommasith; Deputy Minister of Finance Mr. Bounpone Vannachit, who also represented Dao Coffee shareholders; along with associated officials and other representatives of the two companies.

Dao Coffee is a high-quality Lao coffee producer, using modern machinery to produce its products that also meet international standards. The Dao Coffee brand is well-known not only in Laos but also in the overseas market.

The government recognizes the importance of growing coffee to create jobs and earn income for coffee farmers, especially on the Bolaven Plateau, as well as the possibility of upgrading and growing the coffee processing industry in the country and promoting Dao Coffee as a national coffee brand.

The Lao government has taken the step of buying shares in Dao Coffee and is now opening up cooperation with other private sectors, to set the company as a model of state enterprises that generate revenue for the state budget and promote the country’s exports, earning foreign currency for Laos.

Regarding Sokxay Group’s appointment, Mr. Sokxay said the company has a lot of experience as a sales representative of international brands in Laos.

“We manage sales for Drop Points and express delivery, and Sokxay Express has over 300 branches, and over 3,000 dealer shops across the country and also partners overseas,” he said.

“This business cooperation strategy aims to add value to the Lao coffee brand and strengthen the competitiveness of the brand in both the domestic and overseas markets,” Mr. Sokxay added.

The contract signing followed the feasibility study and the agreement between the two sides to upgrade production, provide Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) service, and establish a standard sales representative to expand production and marketing.

This cooperation will be a part of boosting the social and economic development of Laos while upgrading Laos’ coffee production to international standards.

During the contract signing ceremony, the government urged all Lao people, both in Laos and overseas, to buy and consume Lao coffee products, as they are of high quality, have a special flavor, and are of international standards.
