REPOWERTEK Unveils “PRIME,” a Safer Lead-Acid Battery Regeneration Solution amid Global Lithium Fire Concerns

The PRIME product series features the world’s only technology capable of regenerating lead-acid batteries without internal overheating. With regular maintenance and the use of a regenerator, lead-acid batteries can achieve up to 3 times the lifespan of typical use.

SEOUL, South Korea, Nov. 5, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Amid growing global concerns over lithium-ion battery fires, often referred to as “lithium fire phobia”, South Korea’s leading lead-acid battery regeneration company, REPOWERTEK, has unveiled its groundbreaking fifth-generation “PRIME Series” regenerator, along with an innovative industrial workshop and platform business model, marking a new chapter in the global battery regeneration industry. The PRIME system restores batteries without generating internal heat or damage, extending battery life by 200–300% and offering a safer, more economical alternative to lithium-based energy storage.

Amid intensifying global competition in energy storage, lithium-ion batteries are increasingly considered “ticking time bombs,” prone to fire, thermal runaway, and toxic gas emissions—a trend now described as “lithium phobia.” Even so-called safe LFP (LiFePO₄) batteries carry risks of hydrogen fluoride release and explosions under thermal stress, highlighting the urgent need for fundamentally safer solutions.

PRIME addresses this critical gap. Over more than a decade of research and development, and five product generations, REPOWERTEK has exported PRIME to over 70 countries. The system safely and repeatedly restores industrial lead-acid batteries for ESS, UPS, and traction applications across telecommunications, data centers, hospitals, shipping, railways, and defense. Its proprietary high-frequency pulse algorithm ensures stable battery performance for up to 10 years while preventing overheating or degradation.

“PRIME is more than a technology,” said a REPOWERTEK spokesperson. “It is a comprehensive platform redefining industrial battery management, improving safety, sustainability, and cost efficiency worldwide.”

The platform integrates battery subscription and leasing models, PRIME maintenance services, equipment rental, lead recycling, and strategic partnerships with manufacturers, creating recurring revenue streams and a fully circular, sustainable closed-loop ecosystem.

Inspired by automotive maintenance practices, the PRIME system incorporates scheduled restoration cycles. After initial regeneration at roughly two-thirds of a battery’s service life, follow-up treatments every 12–18 months restore capacity, reduce total ownership costs, and maintain fire-free operation over the battery’s extended lifespan.

In 2025, REPOWERTEK showcased its technology at major global exhibitions, including Middle East Energy (Dubai), The Smarter E Europe (Munich), RE+ (Las Vegas), and Smart Energy Week (Tokyo). The company’s next appearance will be at Solar & Battery Asia 2025, November 5–7, at KINTEX (Hall 5 – Booth D5) in Goyang, South Korea.

REPOWERTEK is now seeking regional joint venture partners and investors to expand its industrial battery regeneration and maintenance platform across the ESS, UPS, and traction battery markets.

Trend Micro Launches End-to-End Protection for Agentic AI Systems with NVIDIA

Extends Agentic AI Safety from infrastructure to application with agentless EDR and integrated guardrails to secure next-generation AI factories

HONG KONG SAR – Media OutReach Newswire – 5 November 2025 – Trend Micro Incorporated (TYO: 4704; TSE: 4704), a global cybersecurity leader, today announced a new integration with NVIDIA BlueField, which embeds protection directly into the data center layer for more secure and scalable AI factories. This new offering enables organizations to deploy AI faster and reduce risks across multi-tenant AI clouds, all while meeting stringent compliance requirements.

To learn more about the combination of Trend Vision One™ Endpoint Security and NVIDIA BlueField DPUs, please visit: https://www.trendmicro.com/en_us/business/ai/factory.html

NVIDIA BlueField data processing unit (DPU) is a processor designed to offload, accelerate, and isolate infrastructure and cybersecurity tasks from the CPU. Trend Vision OneTM Endpoint Security (AI Factory Endpoint Detection and Response) is deployed on NVIDIA BlueField to collect and monitor host and network information, and correlate with Trend threat intelligence to detect suspicious behavior. Complementing this BlueField integration, Trend is also among the first cybersecurity vendors to validate its solution on NVIDIA RTX PRO Servers, bringing purpose-built, enterprise-class security to AI factories.

This will also now include AI factories in federal agencies and high-assurance organizations, as Trend is included in the NVIDIA AI Factory for Government reference design, which provides full-stack, end-to-end guidance for deploying AI workloads while meeting the compliance needs of regulated industries.

Rachel Jin, Chief Enterprise Platform Officer at Trend Micro: “Agentic AI promises to unleash a new era of productivity, efficiency, and business agility, but only if we build it on secure foundations. That’s why Trend is committed to advancing AI safety through innovation in zero-trust enforcement and AI-native threat detection. Our combined offering with NVIDIA will establish a new market standard for peak performance deployments.”

Ofir Arkin, Sr. Distinguished Architect for Cybersecurity at NVIDIA: “As enterprises deploy AI factories, they need to secure large-scale, high-speed infrastructures without slowing innovation. By integrating with NVIDIA BlueField, Trend Vision One establishes a new class of endpoint detection and response for AI factories, combining hardware-enforced isolation with real-time threat insights to safeguard critical AI assets at the data center layer.”

According to Gartner®, “AI infrastructure security includes the built-in security features of the underlying technology stack, such as vector and graph databases, and third-party security controls that could be easily expanded by incumbent vendors to cover AI security use cases.”*

Building on this foundation, Trend is also extending protection to the application layer of Agentic AI. Trend Vision One™ AI Application Security (AI Guard) integrates natively with NVIDIA NeMo Guardrails, part of the NVIDIA NeMo framework, a scalable rail orchestration solution for ensuring the security, safety, accuracy, and topical relevance of LLM interactions. This integration streamlines how teams define, test, and orchestrate AI guardrails, including multimodal rails through a microservice and simple APIs. This joint capability enables security teams to align guardrails with enterprise policy, map them to key risks, such as prompt injection, data leakage, tool or agent abuse, jailbreaks, and hallucinations, and enforce them consistently from development to runtime.

The platform ingests guardrail telemetry for observability, risk scoring, and incident response, then automates policy-as-code updates and playbook-driven remediation across the AI stack and cloud. This combined approach detects credential dumps, reverse shells, and other advanced threats while strengthening Agentic AI safety in three critical areas:

Content Moderation: Filters toxic or biased AI outputs without slowing inference.

Security: NVIDIA BlueField-accelerated, hardware-enforced isolation prevents prompt injection and jailbreak attempts.

Privacy: Built-in encryption, GDPR, HIPAA, and CCPA compliance, and zero-trust segmentation.

Truth-seeking AI creates world’s largest encyclopaedic knowledge portal – 6,000 times larger than Wikipedia

FONTAINEBLEAU, France and SINGAPORE and SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 5, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — INSEAD, The Business School for the World, today announced the launch of Botipedia, the world’s largest encyclopaedic knowledge portal.

Encyclopaedias have come a long way, from the printed editions of the 1800s and CD ROMs in the 1990s, to today’s online crowd-edited Wikipedia. So, what’s next?

Powered by proprietary AI, Botipedia leverages hundreds of algorithms to mimic the work of legions of humans to create Wikipedia entries. Every entry is processed by the Dynamic Multi-method Generation (DMG) technique, backed by unique datasets consisting of a vast curated library of archives and satellite feeds that provide high quality, verifiable data. Botipedia directly quotes reliable sources or fully generates original content using natural language generation techniques that are designed to avoid hallucination or intrinsic biases.

In Botipedia, no subject, event, language or geography is too obscure to merit an article. While Wikipedia has some 64 million English articles, Botipedia generates over “400 billion” entries in over 100 languages.

“We are creating Botipedia to provide everyone with equal access to information, with no language left behind,” says Phil Parker, INSEAD Chaired Professor of Management Science, creator of Botipedia and holder of one of the pioneering patents in the field of generative AI. “We focus on content grounded in data and sources with full provenance, allowing the user to see as many perspectives as possible, as opposed to one potentially biased source.

Botipedia’s technology does not limit itself to large language models (LLMs) or similar generative methods. Rather, each form of output relies on a customised method. For example, text or tables relating to weather, are generated for all possible longitudes and latitudes using geo-spatial methods. This approach has the advantage of dramatically increasing both the quantity and the accuracy of content available.

Botipedia enables users to find the materials they need to create new or updated articles faster, especially across underserved languages. In Wikipedia for example, there are 7 million articles in English but only 40,000 in Swahili. This limits Swahili speakers’ access to over 99 percent of Wikipedia’s content. Botipedia’s use of DMG has a secondary benefit of being more sustainable, operating at a fraction of the processing power compared to GPU-intensive methodologies, such as ChatGPT.

“Botipedia is one of many initiatives of the Human and Machine Intelligence Institute (HUMII) that we are establishing at INSEAD,” says Lily Fang, Dean of Research and Innovation at INSEAD. “It is a practical application that builds on INSEAD-linked IP to help people make better decisions with knowledge powered by technology. We want technologies that enhance the quality and meaning of our work and life, to retain human agency and value in the age of intelligence.”

Botipedia was launched during the INSEAD AI Forum in Singapore and currently accessible via invitation only, with full public access to follow. To request access, visit here.  Watch demo video here.
