Founders Metals Hits 53.1 m of 1.21 g/t Au from Surface in New Zone West of Upper Antino; Froyo Zone Drilling Intersects 9.0 m of 12.21 g/t Au & 37.0 m of 3.27 g/t Au

(TSXV: FDR) (OTCQX: FDMIF) (FSE: 9DL0) (“Founders” or the “Company”) announces drill results from the Upper Antino target area at the Antino Gold Project (“Antino” or the “Project”) in southeastern Suriname. The Company has made a new gold discovery 1.2 kilometres (km) west of Upper Antino, where hole FR217 returned 53.1 metres (m) of 1.21 grams per tonne (g/t) gold (Au) from surface in a previously untested area. Drilling also continues to demonstrate that Upper Antino is strongly mineralized at depth, highlighted by 9.0 m of 12.21 g/t Au from 320 m vertical depth, together with 37.0 m of 3.27 g/t Au from 209.0 m in the same hole (FR230).

Upper Antino Drilling Highlights

  • New discovery 1.2 km west of Upper Antino:
    • 53.1 m of 1.21 g/t Au from surface (FR217) – new discovery targeted by a surficial geochemical anomaly
    • More than a kilometre beyond the known mineralized footprint of Upper Antino, opening a new target in previously untested ground within the Antino land package. Follow-up drilling is underway.
  • High-grade gold across multiple zones at Upper Antino:
    • 9.0 m of 12.21 g/t Au from 408.0 m (FR230) approximately 320 m vertical depth and 37.0 m of 3.27 g/t Au from 209.0 m (FR230)
  • Additional high-grade gold intersected in northern follow-up drilling:
    • 3.0 m of 29.17 g/t Au from 101.0 m (FR219)
  • 100 m up-dip extension of high-grade from infill drilling:
    • 33.0 m of 2.15 g/t Au from 85.0 m (FR225)
    • Shallow mineralization on the main shear that links the near-surface zone to the deeper high-grade intercepts, reinforcing grade continuity from surface to depth

Several of the largest gold deposits in the Guiana Shield carry a significant amount of gold at depth, and Upper Antino shows that same potential. With the rainy season now underway, we are concentrating our Upper Antino drill metres where site access remains strongest – on resource-definition and infill drilling across the established core of the system, while continuing to test its growth to depth.”

Geology Discussion

New Discovery
Targeting overlapping, newly acquired geophysical and auger geochemical anomalies west of Upper Antino, discovery hole FR217 intersected 53.1 m of 1.21 g/t Au from surface (Figure 1). The gold mineralization appears associated with a zone of quartz-carbonate veining, pervasive sericite alteration and locally up to 10% sulphide within steeply NW-trending shears along the mapped contact between two volcanic units. Along-strike follow-up drilling is currently underway.

Upper Antino
At Upper Antino, diamond drillhole FR230 tested along-strike and down-dip extensions of multiple parallel structures in the southeast area of Upper Antino, intersecting several gold-bearing zones. The resulting FR230 intercepts – 9.0 m of 12.21 g/t Au, 37.0 m of 3.27 g/t Au, 3.0 m of 5.53 g/t Au, and 2.0 m of 7.21 g/t Au – are consistent with the parallel structures shown to control gold mineralization at Upper Antino (Figure 2). In the central part of Upper Antino, drillhole FR225 returned 33.0 m of 2.15 g/t Au from 85.0 m, extending high-grade mineralization approximately 100 m up-dip from previously released results. Additionally, follow-up exploration drilling at Upper Antino’s current northern extent returned 3.0 m of 29.17 g/t Au (FR219), indicating renewed potential for high-grade gold mineralization in this more distal part of the Upper Antino gold system.

Several step-out holes drilled to the northwest of the main Upper Antino mineralized area returned no significant gold, though they intersected visible shear structures interpreted to extend from the Upper Antino system. Gold at Upper Antino is concentrated in discrete, plunging high-grade shoots within northwest-trending shear zones, and these holes are interpreted to have tested the shear corridor between, or off the plunge of, these shoots rather than the shoots themselves. The mineralized structures are interpreted to continue along strike, supported by the high-grade gold intersected in FR219 (3.0 m of 29.17 g/t Au) at the northern end of the area, and the Company is using this structural framework to target the projected positions of high-grade shoots in subsequent drilling.

Quality Assurance and Control
Samples were analyzed at FILAB Suriname, a Bureau Veritas Certified Laboratory in Paramaribo, Suriname (a commercial certified laboratory under ISO 9001:2015). Samples are crushed to 75% passing 2.35 mm screen, riffle split (700 g) and pulverized to 85% passing 88 µm. Samples were analyzed using a 50 g fire assay (50 g aliquot) with an Atomic Absorption (AA) finish. For samples that return assay values over 5.0 grams per tonne (g/t), another cut was taken from the original pulp and fire assayed with a gravimetric finish. Founders Metals inserts blanks and certified reference standards in the sample sequence for quality control. External QA-QC checks are performed at ALS Global Laboratories (Geochemistry Division) in Lima, Peru (an ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited facility). A secure chain of custody is maintained in transporting and storing of all samples. Drill intervals with visible gold are assayed using metallic screening. Diamond drill core is HQ diameter through oxide intervals and predominantly NQ diameter in deeper drilling. All samples are half core, split using a diamond saw. Rock chip samples from outcrop/bedrock are selective by nature and may not be representative of the mineralization hosted on the project.

Jointly organized by The Nature Conservancy (TNC) Hong Kong, Civic Exchange (CE) and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), and supported by The Robert H. N. The week opened with two days of site visits in Hong Kong and Shenzhen, where participants explored NbS in practice—from wetland restoration at Long Valley Nature Park and science-based stewardship at Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden (KFBG), to coastal restoration at Shenzhen Bay and integrated urban solutions at Lianhuashan Park—highlighting the importance of long-term stewardship and science-based adaptive management.

Building on insights from the site visits, the two-day conference brought participants together to examine how standards, governance and finance can accelerate high-integrity NbS at scale. At the opening of the conference, Mr. Anthony Gao, Executive Director for Hong Kong and Regional Partnerships of The Nature Conservancy, underscored the need for cross-sector collaboration to translate ambition into implementation.

Senior officials from the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) of the People’s Republic of China and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government (HKSARG) attended and spoke at the conference, including Ms. Chen Danhong, Director-General of the Department of International Cooperation, MNR; Mr. Gu Zhixin, Deputy Director General of the Land Consolidation and Rehabilitation Center, MNR; Ms. Diane Wong, Under Secretary for Environment and Ecology, HKSARG; Mr. Joseph H. With this breadth of participation, Hong Kong’s unique landscape—where a dense urban center coexists with extensive country parks, wetlands, coastlines and marine ecosystems—provided a living laboratory to explore how NbS can be delivered across the territory and the wider GBA.

Implementing High-Integrity NbS Through a Whole-Of-Society Approach
The first day of the conference focused on translating NbS from concept into practice through stronger planning, governance, and cross-sector collaboration.

Discussions highlighted NbS as a science-based response to the interconnected crises of climate change, biodiversity loss, and ecosystem degradation, and emphasized the importance of applying the IUCN Global Standard for NbS to help ensure projects deliver measurable benefits for nature, people and climate. Speakers also explored multi-scale planning, cross-boundary cooperation across the GBA and beyond, and the integration of NbS into urban and peri-urban development.

Participants also reflected on the governance, partnerships and enabling conditions needed to deliver high-integrity and inclusive NbS, and shared a common view that meaningful impact will require a whole-of-society approach across governments, communities, financial institutions, academia, non-governmental organizations, and the private sector.

Speakers from government, finance, development institutions, and the private sector discussed the need to recognize, value and invest in nature to advance the Kunming–Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework and build climate-resilient communities. Discussions explored innovative financing mechanisms—including blended finance—emerging biodiversity and nature markets, and public–private partnerships to develop investable NbS pipelines.

Participants highlighted the importance of credible standards, robust measurement frameworks, and supportive policy environments to build funder confidence, alongside new economic models that position nature as a critical asset for long-term prosperity and resilience in Hong Kong, the Greater Bay Area and beyond.

A Resilient GBA: Turning Ideas Into Scalable, Investment-Ready NbS
Building on the conference, the week concluded with a full-day accelerator workshop delivered in collaboration with the Columbia Climate School and the Hong Kong Institute of Landscape Architects (HKILA), supported by an advisory group of experts. The workshop brought together cross-sector participants to test and prioritize NbS strategies—particularly for the Shenzhen River Basin and Shenzhen Bay—and to advance pathways for scaling delivery, including finance, governance, and stakeholder engagement.

Across the week, speakers emphasized the urgency of scaling high-integrity NbS—moving from pilots to investable programs and from dialogue to action.

e-STORAGE and Axpo Partner on First Joint Battery Project in Italy

KITCHENER, ON, June 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Canadian Solar Inc. (the “Company” or “Canadian Solar”) (NASDAQ: CSIQ) today announced that e-STORAGE, its energy storage solutions business, has entered into an agreement with Axpo subsidiary to deploy an 8 MW/40 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) in southern Italy. This marks e-STORAGE’s first project in Italy, a further step in its expansion across continental Europe.

Construction at Axpo’s Rizziconi power plant in Calabria is scheduled to begin at the end of 2026, with grid connection and commercial operation expected in early 2028. The battery storage system will be installed at Axpo’s existing combined-cycle gas power plant in Rizziconi, Calabria, leveraging its established grid interconnection to provide flexibility and balancing services.

Under the agreement, e-STORAGE will deliver a complete and integrated solution that combines SolBank 3.0 battery blocks, power conversion systems, and the company’s proprietary EQ-S Energy Management System into a single coordinated system under one accountable partner. The battery cells and 5 MWh capacity SolBank 3.0 pack systems are developed and manufactured at Canadian Solar’s own production facilities, providing customers with complete supply chain visibility. Today’s announced installation marks the first milestone in a wider partnership between e-STORAGE and Axpo, with both firms planning to strengthen their collaboration in the years ahead.

The Rizziconi project is a specific response to conditions in southern Italy, where rising solar output regularly exceeds what the network can absorb by midday. Historically, Calabria has faced higher power costs and weaker grid connectivity than northern Italy, which makes local flexibility especially valuable. The e-STORAGE system will capture solar energy that would otherwise be wasted and return it to the grid when needed. This will ease the pressure on a constrained network and help lower the cost of electricity for a region of Italy that has long depended on distant supplies of energy from the north and elsewhere.
