Restaurant Delivery Software Provider VROMO Partners with Restaurant SaaS and Host Kitchen Tech Start-up KBOX Global

KBox Global chooses VROMO as premier delivery software provider as it expands its host kitchen model into the U.S. market

PERTH, AUSTRALIA – News Direct – 1 March 2022 – Restaurant operators and host kitchens looking to make their delivery operations more efficient and profitable can now take full advantage of a lucrative new partnership between the restaurant delivery software provider VROMO and KBOX Global, a UK-based startup that turns underused commercial kitchen space into takeout delivery hubs. Together, the companies will optimise digital sales and create a more efficient delivery model for host kitchens, generating much-needed new revenue streams for restaurant operators.

VROMO automates the entire delivery solution with a wide range of features including route optimisation, order stacking, driver ETA and live order tracking. The solution seamlessly integrates delivery service providers with restaurant operations for the fastest, most efficient delivery resulting in exceptional customer experience.

The system is designed for in-house delivery but offers a hybrid solution. This means that restaurant brands can ‘overflow’ orders to a range of third-party fleets such as DoorDash drivers when volume exceeds their driver capacity. Operators never have to reject an order, third-party fleet partners receive additional volume, and all parties benefit from the VROMO ecosystem of cohesive restaurant and food delivery operators.

“Our goal is to become the No.1 delivery management software for restaurant brands and we’ll do this by offering the best software solution and the most comprehensive range of third party delivery fleets to our partners around the globe. We look forward to growing this partnership with KBOX because of their unparalleled focus on the operator’s experience. Their tech solutions were built by operators for operators and we look forward to them bringing these insights to the US market” said VROMO CEO Brian Hickey.

Salima Vellani, CEO of KBOX Global commented: “We are delighted to partner with VROMO ahead of our rollout to hundreds of new locations across the UK, Australia and the US. Having looked at several delivery software tools, we found VROMO to be the stand out product and we are confident we can create the most efficient delivery model possible for our operators”.

This partnership marks a major milestone for both companies and aligns with the increasing popularity of digital ordering for both in-restaurant and off-premise.

Throughout 2021 and early into 2022, VROMO signed several international-partnership deals to enhance its offering for both restaurant and third-party delivery partners. In recent months, the company has announced partnerships with Doordash, Deliverect, Square, Stuart and the RMDA.

About VROMO

VROMO provides a customisable delivery management solution for the restaurant sector. The software automates the entire delivery management operation and enables restaurants to use a combination of in-house delivery staff, drivers from marketplace platforms and/or drivers from local Delivery Service Partners. Visit http://www.vromo.io/ for more information. You can also find VROMO on LinkedIn.

About KBOX
Built by operators for operators, the KBOX suite of software enables any food service operation to be digitised for off-premise and on-premise ordering. In one easy-to-use solution, KBOX provides customer-led in-venue, takeaway, first party and third party delivery solutions for any foodservice operator. With machine learning powering the platform, KBOX’s proprietary menu optimization solution enables operators to increase revenues, reduce wastage, improve labor efficiency and potentially even add additional revenue streams through virtual brands. The KBOX solution is powering kitchens in the UK and Australia and is now bringing its industry-leading solution to the US. More on how KBOX works, including a tech demo, is available here. Say goodbye to multiple devices, manual entry, mistakes and lengthy admin processes.

Thanks to an increasing number of Vaccinated Travel Lanes (VTL) and a relaxation of border restrictions, buoyed by strong pent-up demand for travel and adventure, travelers are beginning to plan for their next adventure. Traveloka is committed to helping them fulfill their lifestyle aspirations and providing an end-to-end experience.

Traveloka is establishing itself as Southeast Asia’s lifestyle superapp that will enable users across the region to seamlessly pursue lifestyle choices and adventures, both at home and overseas.

Establishing Traveloka as a Lifestyle Superapp

Accelerated by Covid-19, Southeast Asians emerged as global leaders in mobile connections with over 887 million connections, representing 132 per cent of the region’s total population. With such a mobile-first culture that readily embraces digital technologies, consumers here are demanding for connectivity at their fingertips — one that can be satisfied by superapps. In fact, the ASEAN superapp market is forecasted to exceed US$23 billion by 2025, an almost six-fold boom from 2020.

As the region’s lifestyle superapp, Traveloka currently offers users in Singapore an innovative and tech-enabled experience. From AI recommendations to a personalized chatbot, users enjoy a comprehensive and seamless experience on Traveloka. Beyond travel services, users also have access to experiences from attractions and workshops to beauty and spa options. As Traveloka strengthens its presence in Singapore, the company is committed to introducing end-to-end solutions for Singaporeans’ lifestyle needs.

Caesar Indra, President at Traveloka, said, “The last 24 months have drastically reshaped the fundamental idea of travel and discovery. Consumers today have vastly different expectations — they prioritize convenience, safety, and personal wellbeing, which will enable them to truly enjoy and engage in activities. We have seen demand for travel and local experiences surge in the last few months and Traveloka is committed to providing seamless experiences, without the user having to leave our platform. As one of the first lifestyle superapps in the region, we are revolutionizing lifestyle services for millions of consumers in Southeast Asia, redefining how they live, play, and discover new adventures in their very own backyards and across the world.”

Introducing Singapore’s Very First Brand Ambassador, Michelle Chong

To celebrate its 10th birthday, Traveloka has enlisted one of Singapore’s most beloved celebrities, Michelle Chong, as its brand ambassador. A familiar face not just in Singapore but across Southeast Asia, Michelle’s tongue-in-cheek humor, exuberance, and love for adventure perfectly complement Traveloka’s brand persona and values.

Michelle Chong, Brand Ambassador for Traveloka said, “I am very excited to come on board as Traveloka’s first brand ambassador. We haven’t been able to travel in the last two years and I can’t wait to rediscover the world with everyone again. Besides bringing everyone on a journey and adventure with me to my favorite cities, I’m also looking forward to rediscovering hidden gems in our very own Singapore. Actually, Ah Lian might be your travel companion instead, because she confirm plus chop knows how to get the best deal and travel arrangements using Traveloka.”

Caesar Indra, President at Traveloka, adds, “Michelle couldn’t be a more natural fit for Traveloka. We are on a mission to fulfill the lifestyle aspirations of our users and redefine the idea of discovery with them. With her vibrant and outgoing personality, coupled with her affinity with Singaporeans, we are confident that our partnership with Michelle will bring Traveloka’s extensive lifestyle offerings and convenience closer to even more Singaporeans.”

Supporting the Local Hospitality Industry

Even as travel came to a standstill in the last two years, Traveloka continued to support the tourism sector and play an active role in invigorating the industry locally.

From December 2020, Traveloka partnered with the Singapore Tourism Board as an authorized booking partner for the SingapoRediscovers Vouchers (SRV), allowing Singaporeans to purchase local experiences, support local businesses, or donate to a cause of their choice on the lifestyle superapp.

Additionally, Traveloka further complemented the government’s efforts to revive local tourism through various initiatives. First, Traveloka built a social network connecting the tourism sector to the local community. With a dedicated Telegram group of 16,500 members and counting, it served as a platform for the community to interact and share their experiences. Secondly, its EPIC Sale, held between 14 – 20 April 2021, offered exclusive deals with participating hotels and attractions. Traveloka experienced an uplift in traffic by 65 times and saw transaction uplift by up to nine times.

To recognize the efforts of frontline and hospitality workers, Traveloka launched its #WalkTogether Against Covid 19 movement in partnership with The Social Kitchen. Through this initiative, Traveloka distributed plant-based meals to frontline workers at Changi Airport and healthcare workers in several hospitals in Singapore. Furthermore, working with the Corporate Alliance for Good, Traveloka also supported Singaporeans whose lives and livelihoods have been impacted by the pandemic, including local tourism businesses.
