Seasun Games’ Mecha Break Shines at ChinaJoy

BEIJING, Aug. 7, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — A report from China Daily:

Seasun Games, a Chinese game company with a history of over three decades, showcased its recently launched Mecha Break game during this year’s China Digital Entertainment Expo & Conference, also known as ChinaJoy, in Shanghai from August 1 to 4, arousing great attention among game players both at home and abroad.

Its booth offered not only a rich array of peripheral gifts, special cosplay performances, and exciting shows by elite players, but also featured activities such as game trials and limited-edition badges, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the dynamic atmosphere and engage with the vibrant gaming community.

Seasun Games’ Mecha Break attracts lots of game players at ChinaJoyin Shanghai from Aug 1-4.
Seasun Games’ Mecha Break attracts lots of game players at ChinaJoyin Shanghai from Aug 1-4.

Behind the popularity of the new game is cultural globalization, which constitutes the essence of taking games overseas, explained Yao Zhe, vice-president of Seasun Games.

“And the key to successful international expansion for Chinese game companies lies in conveying the core of Chinese culture through an internationalized expression,” he added.

Yao said that his company‘s answer to expanding globally is to combine science fiction with mecha, striving to create a globally recognized Chinese mecha intellectual property.

Historically, IP works in the mecha genre have been dominated by Japan and Western countries. Works like Gundam and Transformers have had a profound impact on those born in the 1980s and 1990s. However, this dominance has also laid a solid foundation for young people worldwide to embrace mecha games, making it a culturally accepted medium for the global digital native generation.

Seasun Games‘ Mecha Break, upon its release on July 2, quickly garnered global player appreciation, with some players stating that it “completely refreshes the perception of mecha enthusiasts.”

It reached a peak of 132,000 concurrent players on the international gaming platform Steam, claiming the top spot on both the Trending Games and Popular Releases lists, and reaching as high as fifth place on the Most Played Games list. It has become another “breakthrough hit” overseas, earning international recognition for Chinese game developers’ innovation and capabilities.

The creation of this hit game is attributed to the support of hardcore technology and original game concepts. Mecha Break has accumulated a wealth of innovative technologies, currently holding 60 patents in areas such as image processing, character animation processing, data management, human-computer interaction, and virtual reality and augmented reality, in addition to a national patent award. In particular, it has focused on patent deployment in core areas such as image processing and character animation processing.

Insights into consumer profiles in overseas markets have proven indispensable and have exceeded the company‘s expectations, Yao said. About 73 percent of overseas users are under the age of 26.

In terms of markets, Japanese players exhibit a stronger-than-expected preference for competitive player-versus-player gameplay, while North American players show high purchasing intent for derivative merchandise such as model kits and collectible figures.

In the future, Southeast Asia, South America, and Europe are also expected to become the fastest-growing markets for Seasun Games‘ user base, he said.

METABORA GAMES Integrates BORA Ecosystem with Kaia CL Protocol

– Enhancing BORA tokenomics by establishing a joint liquidity pool and applying a burn mechanism
– Adopting a gas abstraction model, enabling BORA tokens to be used as a substitute for Kaia transaction fees

SEOUL, South Korea, Aug. 7, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — METABORA GAMES (CEO Choi Se-hoon), a leading blockchain game developer, announced today that it has completed the integration of the ‘Consensus Liquidity (CL) Protocol’ of the blockchain platform Kaia into the BORA ecosystem.

METABORA GAMES Integrates BORA Ecosystem with Kaia CL Protocol
METABORA GAMES Integrates BORA Ecosystem with Kaia CL Protocol

The ‘CL’ is an innovative infrastructure protocol based on the Kaia chain that enables simultaneous participation in validator staking and liquidity provision.

By integrating Kaia’s CL technology into the BORA ecosystem, METABORA GAMES will begin full-scale connectivity with external chains through the establishment of a joint liquidity pool, the introduction of a ‘gas abstraction’ model (which enables transaction fees to be paid on behalf of users), and the implementation of a fee-burning mechanism.

With the completion of the CL integration, METABORA GAMES and the Kaia Foundation established a joint liquidity provision plan and provided approximately $2 million in liquidity as of August 5. The partners plan to further boost the BORA ecosystem and enhance the token’s value through additional phased liquidity injections.

Additionally, a burn mechanism will be applied to the fee revenue generated from the joint liquidity pool. A certain portion of BORA-denominated profits will be burned, reinforcing the ecosystem’s deflationary tokenomics. The burn rate and frequency will be adjusted flexibly in accordance with market conditions and revenue scale.

The integration will also introduce a ‘gas abstraction’ feature, allowing users to pay transaction fees on the Kaia mainnet using BORA tokens. This enables users to cover transaction fees with BORA tokens even if they do not hold any Kaia tokens.

A METABORA GAMES representative stated, “The integration of the CL Protocol marks the first step for the BORA chain in achieving functional flexibility and scalability by structurally connecting with external public infrastructure. This signifies a transition and expansion from an independent BORA mainnet model to an interactive structure that engages with external ecosystems.” They added, “Starting with the launch of mini Dapps based on LINE Messenger and onboarding on Kaia, we will further strengthen BORA’s tokenomics by expanding external utility and operating an organic burn mechanism that functions seamlessly across multiple chains.”

About METABORA

METABORA is a casual game developer and the service operator of the blockchain platform BORA.

The BORA ecosystem brings together partners across various industries—ranging from tokenomics and content to blockchain technology—driving innovation and collaboration across games, sports, and entertainment.

BORA is a national game/entertainment token with a high liquidity in the market and reinforcing the accessibility of users and services abroad by increasing the listing on global cryptocurrency exchanges and expanding partnership.

170 European enterprises thrive in Wuxi National Hi-tech District

BEIJING, Aug. 6, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — A report from People’s Daily:

Wuxi National Hi-tech District (WND), located in east China’s Jiangsu province, has become a magnet for foreign investment and a key hub for European enterprises. The district is now home to 170 European-invested enterprises from countries including Germany, France, Poland, the Netherlands, and Sweden, with total European investment reaching approximately 15 billion euros ($17.35 billion).

A recent visit by People’s Daily offered a window into the thriving development of these enterprises and the drivers behind their successful cooperation with China.

“Twenty years ago, when senior executives and clients from our German headquarters came to China, the country’s auto industry was still in its early stages,” recalled Erich J. Koch, general manager of Gaudlitz Precision Technology (Wuxi) Co., Ltd. (Gaudlitz Precision).

“What drew us in was China’s enormous market potential. In 2004, our headquarters made a strategic decision to invest in China, establishing our very first overseas production base,” Koch said.

Since then, China’s auto industry has grown rapidly, with the number of vehicles on the road surging year after year,” Koch noted. “Our judgment was spot on. The decision to invest in China is absolutely the right one.”

The transformation of China’s auto industry from big to strong has strengthened Gaudlitz Precision’s confidence in deepening its presence in the Chinese market. The company has seen consistent annual revenue growth of 5 to 15 percent, cementing its position as a leader in its niche segment.

WND’s ongoing efforts to enhance its business environment have also offered strong practical support and solutions to help enterprises expand with confidence.

Bucher Hydraulics (Wuxi) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Switzerland-based Bucher Industries, chose to settle in Wuxi in 2018, drawn by China’s expansive market demand in construction machinery, automotive aftermarket, and materials handling.

“Some of the pro-business measures here are remarkably efficient. For example, updating business registration details can be done entirely online with just a passport photo. There’s no need for repeated trips, which saves a great deal of time and energy,” said Reinhold Frank Muehlon, an executive of Bucher Hydraulics.

Zhang Xiaojun, general manager of Hunting Energy Services (Wuxi) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of a UK-based technology firm, highlighted Wuxi’s robust legal and innovation environment. “Wuxi boasts a market-oriented and globally competitive business ecosystem underpinned by a sound legal framework. We feel our intellectual property is genuinely respected and protected here. That’s the fertile ground where innovation can truly flourish.”

French company TLD Group, a global leader in airport ground support equipment, established its Wuxi manufacturing base in 2008. Today, it serves as the company’s major manufacturing hub in the Asia-Pacific region. Chief operating officer Wu Jianqiang credited the district’s well-developed industrial ecosystem for the company’s success.

“China is the world’s largest manufacturing country, with the most complete industrial system globally. The Yangtze River Delta region, in particular, boasts one of the most comprehensive manufacturing landscapes in the world,” Wu said.

Take a cargo loader, for instance, he explained. It contains thousands of components including the frame, cab, covers, and brackets, sourced from over 100 first-tier suppliers. All of them are located in China, and 95 percent are within a one-hour drive from Wuxi.

Today, WND features a complete industrial chain and a thriving innovation ecosystem, attracting an increasing number of multinational corporations to scale up their presence. Many are building flagship factories and headquarters here, accelerating the development of world-class industrial clusters.

In March 2023, Schneider Electric inaugurated its fifth research and development (R&D) center in China – located in Wuxi. Later that year in November, the company broke ground on a green smart industrial park in the city. Covering 68,000 square meters, the first phase is expected to be operational by the end of 2025.

“Wuxi is promoting industrial transformation through technological innovation, with a strategic focus on frontier sectors such as artificial intelligence and emerging industries,” said Hu Xiao, senior vice president of Schneider Electric. “It is striving to become a globally influential hub for high-tech innovation. This gives us great confidence in the future of our operations here.”

WND’s strategic industries – including the Internet of Things, integrated circuits, biomedicine, and intelligent equipment – have each surpassed 100 billion yuan ($13.93 billion) in output. Today, high-tech products account for over 80 percent of total industrial output among enterprises above the designated size.

Over the past three years, WND has rolled out a comprehensive suite of talent support policies benefiting 35 European enterprises and nearly 2,000 employees. It has also helped high-level professionals resolve personal and family-related concerns such as children’s education, enabling them to put down roots and focus on innovation.

With its strong industrial foundation, dynamic innovation environment, and abundant talent resources, WND is rapidly emerging as a new engine of global high-tech development.
