Qualification
- Recent graduate or current student (major does not matter).
- Willingness to learn and take on varied responsibilities.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organization.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, email, etc.).
- General English or Korean are a plus.
- Knowledge of GIS, Photoshop and video editing is a plus.
- Knowledge of REDD+ or environmental programs is an advantage, but not required.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with organizing meetings, workshops, and field visits.
- Support document preparation and data entry.
- Help draft internal communications, summaries, and basic reports.
- Participate in team discussions and contribute to ongoing projects as needed.
- Carry out any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Working Conditions
- working hour 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
- Interns are required to submit monthly, and final reports.
- The internship lasts 3 months with a monthly stipend of $300.
- Based on performance, a contract may be offered and conditions can be negotiated.
Background
REDD+ Cooperation Office (Center) between the Republic of Korea and Lao PDR was established on October 9th 2024, based on a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). between the Republic of Korea and Lao PDR to implement Article 6 of the Paris Agreement. It aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions for climate change mitigation and promote sustainable development.
Overview
We are looking for a flexible, motivated, and proactive interns to support our Center. This role is ideal for someone eager to gain broad experience in environmental programs. The intern will work closely with the Project Manager, assisting in daily operations and contributing to a variety of tasks. If performance is satisfactory, the intern may be offered a longer-term contract at the end of the internship.
