NUREMBERG, GERMANY – Newsaktuell – 11 May 2026 – Innomotics, a globally leading supplier of electric motor and large drive systems, has won several major orders for electrified LNG projects in Europe, Canada, Middle East and Australia. The total volume for all orders is in the higher double-digit million EUR range.

Innomotics is driving the transformation of LNG production with its innovative eLNG solutions. By replacing conventional gas turbine-based liquefaction processes with electrified drive systems, LNG operators can significantly increase efficiency, reduce emissions, and lower operating costs.

As global demand for cleaner energy continues to grow, LNG remains a key component of the energy mix. However, traditional LNG production is energy-intensive and associated with high greenhouse gas emissions. eLNG addresses these challenges by using electricity – including renewable energy sources such as wind, solar, and hydropower – to liquefy natural gas, enabling a more sustainable and efficient production process.

The electrification of LNG plants is a key step in reducing reliance on fossil fuels and achieving decarbonization targets. Electric drive systems from Innomotics offer system efficiencies of up to 95%, significantly exceeding the performance of conventional gas turbines. At the same time, operators benefit from reduced maintenance requirements, with systems capable of running up to five years without scheduled shutdowns, and increased plant availability of up to 99.9%.

By integrating high-voltage motors and variable speed drives across the entire LNG value chain – from compression and refrigeration to storage and gas treatment – Innomotics enables a fully electrified production process. When powered by renewable energy, eLNG solutions can eliminate direct CO₂ emissions and reduce annual emissions by up to 500,000 tons, supporting operators in meeting regulatory requirements and sustainability goals.

“Electrification is the foundation for a sustainable future of LNG production. With our eLNG solutions, we enable operators to significantly improve efficiency, reduce emissions, and enhance reliability across the entire process. This not only strengthens competitiveness but also accelerates the transition towards net-zero operations,” says Michael Reichle, CEO of Innomotics.

He adds, “Operators are under increasing pressure to balance sustainability with profitability. Our electric drive systems deliver a compelling business case by lowering lifecycle costs, minimizing downtime, and ensuring maximum operational performance in demanding LNG environments.”

Jojo Miracle Brings Lao Music to International Stage in Manila

A return to the stage after years away from releasing music has taken Lao artist Jojo Miracle to one of Southeast Asia’s major international music festivals, where he performed in front of thousands of fans in Manila this April.

Jojo represented Laos at the 2026 ROUND ASEAN-Korea Music Festival, held at the Araneta Coliseum in the Philippines from 18 to 19 April. The event brought together artists from ASEAN countries and South Korea as part of a regional cultural and music exchange program.

Although Jojo did not expect himself to be selected, but he still gave everything he has at performance. (Photo by ROUND festival)

For Jojo, the opportunity came unexpectedly. After spending recent years focused more on behind-the-scenes work than releasing new songs, he said he did not expect to be selected alongside artists with major international followings.

“To be honest, I didn’t think I would be chosen, a lot of the artists are very popular now, but I still sent my profile anyway,” he said.

Jojo said he submitted his portfolio to the festival team in late 2025 without expecting a response. At the time, he had not released new music in nearly five years and largely focused on work behind the scenes of performing.

It came as a surprise, but he accepted the opportunity and began preparing for what would become one of the biggest international performances of his career.

Returning to the Stage

Jojo performed on the festival’s second day, which he described as one of the most challenging performance slots, as opening performers were expected to immediately energize the audience.

The pressure, he recalled, was intense.

“I felt like I had to go all in, I told myself I couldn’t just go up there and leave quietly. I had to give everything,” Jojo said.

He delivered a 28-minute set in front of an international audience, marking one of his largest performances in recent years.

A picture of Jojo interact with fans during his performance

Despite his long break from performing regularly, Jojo said the connection with the audience came back naturally once he stepped onto the stage.

“When I got on stage, I felt like I still had it, I knew how to connect with the crowd again,” he said. “I always try to make people feel included,” he said. “Even if we don’t speak the same language, people can still feel your energy.”

According to Jojo, he relied on stage presence, eye contact, gestures, and direct interaction with the audience to overcome language barriers during his performance in the Philippines.

As the performance continued, Jojo said his confidence grew stronger with each song. He recalled pushing himself throughout the set, including delivering 32 seconds of vocal runs with high notes that drew loud reactions from the audience.

Even though audiences did not know who Jojo was, but because of his performance, people cheered for him.

The response from the crowd surprised him most.

“In the Philippines many people had never seen me before, so hearing people cheer for me, there was a very special feeling,” Jojo said.

The moment became emotional when he realized the audience was responding strongly despite not knowing his music beforehand.

He described that moment as “28 minutes of miracle.”

Writing Music Again

A picture of the end of Jojo performance showing how happy and inspired he was after the performance.

The performance also inspired Jojo back to music after several years away from songwriting.

Following the festival, he wrote two new songs inspired by that experience.

“For a long time I didn’t really have motivation to make music, but this event gave me inspiration again,” he said.

Jojo explained that he has always viewed music as something personal rather than something he should create constantly.

Representing Laos Abroad

Looking ahead, he hopes to continue building an international audience while helping create more opportunities for Lao artists abroad.

“I want to show that Lao people can be on the international stage too, I want people to feel proud when they see Laos represented internationally.”

Jojo said one of his long-term goals is to help more Lao artists and creative teams gain international exposure.

“If I can grow internationally, I can help support other Lao artists, so we can grow together.”

For Jojo, the Manila performance marked the beginning of a new chapter in his career.

“I want to come back as a new version of Jojo Miracle, I still want to keep going and help Lao artists go beyond Laos.”

The Taskforce will study how companies can improve the way they communicate financial performance, business risks and long-term value creation to investors and stakeholders. It will also examine how Singapore can continue to uphold high standards of governance, transparency and accountability in a rapidly evolving business environment.

Ms Euleen Goh, Chairperson of the Strengthening Financial Reporting Taskforce, said: “Financial reporting has always been the language of business. As markets evolve, it must speak more clearly and more usefully to the stakeholders who rely on it. The Taskforce will take a practical and holistic look at how Singapore can raise the bar so that companies communicate value and insights with the confidence and clarity that investors and the market expect.”

The Taskforce comprises leaders from across the financial ecosystem:

  • Mr Liew Nam Soon, Deputy Regional Managing Partner, EY Asia East; Managing Partner, EY Asean; Managing Partner, EY Singapore & Brunei

  • Mrs Chia-Tern Huey Min, CE, Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (Observer)

Mr Lee Boon Teck, President of ISCA, said: “High-quality financial reporting and strong financial controls are essential to investor confidence and market integrity. As Singapore’s national accountancy body, ISCA believes professionally trained finance and accounting professionals play a critical role in safeguarding trust in business and capital markets. This Taskforce reflects our commitment to supporting Singapore’s continued standing as a trusted global financial and business hub.”

The Taskforce was launched at the ISCA Value Unlock Forum, which brought together C-suite leaders, finance professionals and capital markets stakeholders to discuss how companies can better communicate value to the market.

ISCA Academy, an Approved Training Provider under the SGX Value Unlock Programme, supported the afternoon sessions as part of the ISCA Value Unlock Series. The series aims to equip listed companies and finance leaders with practical capabilities to communicate performance, strategy and value more effectively to the market.

Ms Cyndi Pei, Chairperson of ISCA Academy, said: “As stakeholder expectations continue to evolve, finance leaders are increasingly expected to go beyond reporting results to articulating performance, risks and value creation with clarity, credibility and context. ISCA Academy remains committed to supporting the profession and the broader market by building the practical capabilities needed to reinforce trust, promote transparency and strengthen confidence in Singapore’s capital markets.”

The House of Suntory’s Hibiki Whisky Debuts First Global Campaign: “The Masterpiece of Japanese Artistry”

The campaign features award–winning actress Anna Sawai and the historic Chiso kimono house to honor modern Japanese artistry across whisky, nature and kimono art

NEW YORK, May 11, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — The House of Suntory, the founding house of Japanese whisky, announces Hibiki Whisky’s first global campaign, “The Masterpiece of Japanese Artistry,” inviting consumers worldwide to experience key elements of Japanese culture through whisky, nature, and contemporary artistry. Featuring internationally acclaimed and award–winning actress Anna Sawai in her debut as Hibiki’s first Global Ambassador, the campaign bridges tradition and modernity through a rare collaboration with one of Japan’s oldest-run kimono houses and pinnacle of luxury, Chiso kimono house.

At the heart of the campaign is a cinematic hero film that draws parallels between kimono-making and whisky blending, two crafts shaped by time and precision. Sawai appears as Hibiki’s Global Ambassador, wearing a kimono from the historic Chiso kimono house, crafted using traditional yuzen dyeing techniques and seasonal motifs inspired by Japan’s landscapes. Within the hero film, a butterfly rests on Anna’s hand, echoing the patterns of the Chiso kimono. Subtle yet symbolic, it becomes a thread throughout the campaign. The butterfly, a kokimurasaki (purple) motif, echoes Hibiki’s signature kokimurasaki hue, which is found on the neck of the bottle, and is one of Japan’s most noble colors.

Embodying both global influence and a deep appreciation for Japanese heritage, Sawai serves as a bridge between tradition and modernity, interpreting the quiet strength of Japanese culture for an international audience.

“Becoming Hibiki’s first Global Ambassador feels natural because we share the same reverence for Japanese artistry and the beauty found in patience, balance and detail,” says Sawai. “Hibiki represents a quiet kind of mastery, something refined over time with care and intention. As an actor, I’m drawn to that same philosophy of craft, where every choice is deliberate, and every moment matters. To represent a brand that embodies the harmony between nature, time and human artistry is incredibly meaningful to me.”

Complementing the hero film are two behind-the-scenes features exploring Sawai’s discovery of the beauty behind Hibiki and kimono-making, and how elements like water and time shape both.

The film follows Sawai to the Kyoto studio of renowned washi paper artist Eriko Horiki, who has handcrafted the washi labels adorning every Hibiki bottle since 1989. A hallmark of the brand’s visual identity, these labels give Hibiki its “face,” transforming water, fiber and time into something quietly beautiful and enduring. The other offers an intimate glimpse inside the historic Kyoto atelier of Chiso kimono house, where Sawai is shown an intricate kimono which she wears in the hero film and key campaign visuals.

Celebrated for its refined, complex flavor, Hibiki Whisky is a meticulous blend from Suntory’s Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chita distilleries, reflecting the Japanese concept of ‘wa’, balance and harmony, through careful blending.

The campaign content will launch across key markets including the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Northern Europe, Mainland China, Australia, Singapore, Taiwan region, South Korea, Spain, India, Canada, Brazil and Mexico.

ARC Group Hosts Capital Markets & M&A Forum 2026 in Kuala Lumpur, Reinforcing Southeast Asia’s Strategic Role in Global Capital Markets

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, May 11, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — ARC Group successfully hosted the Capital Markets & M&A Forum 2026: Malaysia Edition at EQ Kuala Lumpur, convening more than 500 senior executives, institutional investors, legal advisors, and business leaders from across Southeast Asia, North America, Europe, and key international financial centers.

Now in its fourth consecutive year in Kuala Lumpur, the forum has further solidified its position as one of Southeast Asia’s premier platforms for strategic dialogue on capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and cross-border financial expansion.

Defining the Next Phase of Cross-Border Capital Formation

The 2026 edition convened influential decision-makers across the financial ecosystem to examine the structural shifts shaping global capital markets, including evolving investor sentiment, cross-border M&A execution, IPO preparedness, and Southeast Asia’s expanding role in global capital deployment.

Entrepreneurship, strategic financing, and international expansion featured prominently throughout the forum, reflecting how growth companies are increasingly aligning capital strategy with broader global expansion ambitions.

Malaysia emerged as a central focus within these discussions, as regional growth companies reassess capital access strategies and increasingly look beyond domestic markets toward international financing and public market opportunities.

From Market Insights to Execution Strategies

A series of keynote sessions delivered focused perspectives on today’s rapidly evolving capital markets landscape.

Datuk Seri Paul Chong, Partner at ARC Group, opened the forum with a keynote on shifting IPO dynamics, highlighting structural challenges within the micro-cap segment and emphasizing the need for stronger investor alignment.

Drew Bernstein, Co-Chairman of MarcumAsia, emphasized that governance, transparency, and execution discipline have become increasingly critical to IPO and De-SPAC success in a more selective global market environment.

Ian Hanna, CEO of ARC Group Securities, underscored the growing importance of integrated cross-border capital markets capabilities and institutional-grade execution readiness across advisory and underwriting platforms.

A dedicated panel on capital access further explored how Malaysian growth companies are rethinking financing strategies, reflecting broader regional momentum toward cross-border capital solutions and international market participation.

Panel participants included:

  • Joy Pan, Senior Partner at MarcumAsia
  • Pramugh Pathmanaban, Head of Equity Markets Development, Securities Market at Bursa Malaysia Berhad
  • Roger Salazar, Jr., Managing Director and Head of Global Capital Markets at ARC Group Securities
  • Sally Yin, Partner at HTFL
  • Shu Haur, Principal at Ares Credit Group

Moderated by Ian Hanna, the discussion reinforced a central conclusion: as global markets evolve, companies are increasingly shifting from opportunity-driven strategies toward execution-driven outcomes.

Nasdaq Keynote Highlights International Market Access

A major highlight of this year’s forum was the keynote address delivered by Hiren Krishnani, Senior Director at Nasdaq, who oversees capital markets initiatives across the ASEAN region.

Krishnani shared strategic insights on global listing pathways, IPO readiness, and positioning Southeast Asian companies for successful participation in international public markets.

“Southeast Asia continues to play an increasingly important role in global capital markets. Companies that are strategically prepared and globally aligned are best positioned to access international liquidity and long-term growth opportunities.”

ASIA Records Recognition Validates ARC Groups Global Advisory Reach

During the forum, ARC Group was formally recognized by ASIA Records with the title:

“Most Nationally Diverse Client Base for NASDAQ Special Purpose Acquisition Company (SPAC) Listings by an Investment Bank.”

The recognition reflects ARC Group’s advisory leadership across 54 NASDAQ SPAC transactions as of 2026, representing sponsor clients from 17 countries spanning Asia, North America, Europe, Latin America, and Africa.

This achievement underscores ARC Group’s demonstrated ability to support one of the most geographically diversified issuer bases in the industry while executing complex cross-border capital markets transactions at scale.

Executive Commentary

“This year’s forum reflects Southeast Asia’s growing strategic importance within global capital formation. The scale of participation, institutional engagement, and quality of dialogue underscore the region’s expanding influence as an increasingly critical center for international capital deployment.”

— Carlos Lopez, Executive Director, ARC Group

Looking Ahead

With record attendance, expanded international participation, and increasing institutional relevance, the 2026 Kuala Lumpur edition marked ARC Group’s most significant regional forum to date.

ARC Group remains committed to advancing strategic dialogue, facilitating international market access, and positioning Southeast Asia at the forefront of the next generation of global capital markets development through future editions of its Capital Markets & M&A Forum series.
