ECOPEACE Accelerates Global Deployment of AI-Driven Water-Cleanup Technology in Singapore and Dubai

South Korean water-tech innovator advances autonomous, data-powered water-management solutions to next-generation cities

GWANGJU, South Korea, Dec. 29, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — ECOPEACE, a water-technology company based in South Korea, announced the global expansion of its autonomous water-cleanup and water-quality management systems, beginning with pilot projects in Singapore and the United Arab Emirates. The company, which operates one of Korea’s most extensive portfolios of algae-removal deployments, is preparing its technologies for broader international adoption.

ECOPEACE Accelerates Global Deployment of AI-Driven Water-Cleanup Technology in Singapore and Dubai

In recent years, ECOPEACE has provided its autonomous cleanup systems across major reservoirs, rivers, urban parks and smart-city districts in Korea. Its autonomous robots conduct algae removal, surface-water cleaning, and continuous water-quality monitoring. These projects highlight the growing need for scalable, automated water-management solutions as global climate change accelerates harmful algae growth and pollution.

ECOPEACE’S technology includes the autonomous ECOBOT platform and a continuous filtration system that pairs stainless-steel microfilters with electrochemical treatment. The system efficiently processes large volumes of polluted water while simultaneously filtering and backwashing to prevent fouling. Powered by real-time, multi-point data, ECOPEACE’s AI solution automatically adjusts treatment conditions and flow rates, an approach that reflects ECOPEACE’s vision of integrating physical cleanup with digital intelligence.

The company’s first new overseas initiative includes pilot and proof-of-concept projects in Singapore and the United Arab Emirates, where ECOPEACE is testing its autonomous ECOBOT system for algae control, surface water cleaning and real-time water quality monitoring in urban waterways. These projects are being carried out in collaboration with local public-sector and infrastructure partners in cities that have actively invested in smart and sustainable urban development, positioning them as early adopters of automation-based environmental services.

ECOPEACE describes its strategy as “AI-Powered Intelligence,” a system that integrates autonomous robotics, sensor networks, advanced filtration and real-time analysis. The goal is to enable cities and utilities solutions to manage water conditions ahead of problems, instead of reacting only after contamination or algae outbreaks occur.

“As water systems become more complex, cities worldwide will need solutions that anticipate change, not just react to it,” said In-Won Chae, CEO of ECOPEACE. “Water resources across the globe are under mounting stress from pollution, rapid urban growth and climate-driven algae outbreaks. Traditional responses are no longer sufficient. Cities need efficient and smarter solutions that address the problems before they escalate. We are pleased to support partners in Singapore and UAE as they advance modern water-management practices.”

ECOPEACE plans to expand its presence across Southeast Asia, the Middle East and other regions seeking modern, cost-effective water-management solutions. The company aims to establish a standardized platform for autonomous water intelligence that integrates robotics, sensing, and advanced filtration to support municipalities, industrial zones and natural ecosystems.

Bioelectric Toothbrush Offers New Approach with 6x Plaque Removal

Clinically validated microcurrent technology now available in the U.S. market

SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 29, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Great Gums Inc. today announced the U.S. launch of its bioelectric toothbrush, a clinically validated oral care device that delivers safe microcurrents to remove plaque from hard-to-reach areas where traditional bristles cannot effectively clean.

Great Gums bioelectric toothbrush clinical data: 6x better hard-to-reach plaque removal, 75% reduction in gum inflammation, 53% reduction in bad breath. Research conducted in partnership with Columbia University College of Dental Medicine.
Great Gums bioelectric toothbrush clinical data: 6x better hard-to-reach plaque removal, 75% reduction in gum inflammation, 53% reduction in bad breath. Research conducted in partnership with Columbia University College of Dental Medicine.

According to clinical studies, the bioelectric method demonstrated a sixfold improvement in plaque removal efficiency in deep, difficult-to-access regions of the mouth compared to traditional brushing.[1] The same studies reported a 75% improvement in gingival inflammation indices following regular use.[2]

Research conducted in affiliation with Yonsei University College of Dentistry also showed a 75% improvement in gingival inflammation indices. The foundational technology was developed by Dr. Young Wook Kim during his doctoral research at the University of Maryland.

Oral health remains a widespread global challenge. The World Health Organization estimates that around 3.5 billion people worldwide suffer from oral diseases, with inadequate plaque removal identified as a primary contributing factor. Despite decades of innovation, both manual and electric toothbrushes continue to show limitations in addressing this issue.

“Bioelectric technology provides gentle yet effective plaque removal, particularly in gum-sensitive areas,” said Dr. Kim. “Our research suggests that microcurrent-based cleaning can address oral health challenges that traditional mechanical brushing cannot solve.”

“Our success in Asia has demonstrated strong market demand for effective oral health solutions,” said Young Wook Kim, co-founder of Great Gums Inc. “We are confident that U.S consumers here will respond to our scientifically validated approach without relying on increased physical force.

The Great Gums bioelectric toothbrush is now available for purchase at getgreatgums.com.

Mowilex Marks Seven Years of Verified Carbon Neutrality, Accelerates Permanent Emissions Reduction

Key News Highlights:

  • Seven consecutive years of verified carbon neutrality, covering all Scope 1 and 2 emissions and significant elements of Scope 3.
  • Direct investment in on-site solar power at headquarters and manufacturing operations.
  • Shift from certification-led accounting toward infrastructure-based emissions reduction.

JAKARTA, Indonesia, Dec. 29, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — PT Mowilex Indonesia has marked seven consecutive years of verified carbon neutrality, reflecting a long-term and disciplined approach to emissions management while accelerating its transition toward permanent, infrastructure-based reductions.

Mowilex’s Cikande manufacturing facility, where a solar installation completed in 2025 is designed to reduce plant electricity consumption by up to 25 percent.
Mowilex’s Cikande manufacturing facility, where a solar installation completed in 2025 is designed to reduce plant electricity consumption by up to 25 percent.

Since first verifying its carbon footprint in 2018, Mowilex has expanded the scope and rigor of its carbon accounting to include all Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, as well as significant elements of Scope 3. This has required progressively tighter operational boundaries, deeper engagement with suppliers, and closer integration of carbon management into operational and energy planning.

Emissions calculations are independently verified by SCS Global, in line with internationally recognized greenhouse gas accounting standards.

“Over time, carbon management has moved from being a reporting exercise to something that directly informs how we plan energy use, manage operations, and prioritize investments,” said Yossy Tresinya Prameswari, Chief Supply Chain Officer of Mowilex Indonesia. “That shift has been essential in making emissions reduction practical and repeatable, not just aspirational.”

Electricity represents the largest share of Mowilex’s energy use, accounting for approximately 71 percent of total consumption. To address this, the company ensures that purchased electricity across its operations is matched with certified renewable energy sources, while simultaneously investing in on-site renewable generation to reduce reliance on the grid.

In 2025, Mowilex completed a large-scale rooftop solar installation at its Cikande manufacturing facility, designed to reduce plant electricity consumption by up to 25 percent. Earlier investments include rooftop solar installations at the company’s Head Office, which have been supplying renewable electricity since 2023 and currently cover up to 25 percent of the building’s power needs.

“We cover all Scope 1 and 2 emissions, and we include the parts of Scope 3 we can credibly measure today,” said Niko Safavi, CEO of Mowilex Indonesia. “Scope 3 is the hardest part — anyone in manufacturing knows that — but ignoring it does not make it disappear. Real progress comes from execution and infrastructure, not certificates alone.”

To further strengthen transparency and consistency, Mowilex has transitioned its carbon accounting framework to ISO 14064, an internationally recognized standard for greenhouse gas reporting.
