MANTRA Chain Launches Real-World Asset Accelerator Supported by Google Cloud

HONG KONG, Feb. 20, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — MANTRA, a layer 1 blockchain purpose-built for tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) has launched RWAccelerator – a start-up accelerator program designed to empower builders and startups with investment capital, mentors, dedicated AI support and more.

Supported by Google Cloud, the RWAccelerator program will focus on projects with a strong interest in the tokenization of real-world assets, across real estate, financial products and alternative assets.

The program was created to drive development, innovation and adoption in what is proving to be a timely moment for the space. With the World Economic Forum projecting that by 2027, 10% of the world’s GDP – approximately $10 trillion – will be stored on blockchain networks, with Real World Assets (RWAs) playing a significant role in the transformation.

Applicants to the RWAccelerator will have the choice of three themed tracks; infrastructure, tokenization and DeFi. They will undergo a robust screening process to identify innovative entrepreneurs, start ups and builders for this unique opportunity. Selected projects will receive support from the Google for Startups Cloud program that provides access to Google Cloud resources including cloud credits, technical support and workshops led by Google engineers.

MANTRA team members will be readily available to support accelerator participants. Sharing advice and support across smart contracts, tokenomics, market maker selection, listing processes, legal and compliance and more.

“This is a powerful opportunity for startups to harness cutting-edge technology and gain access to resources and mentorship,” said John Patrick Mullin, CEO of MANTRA. “With support from Google Cloud, this RWAccelerator will allow startups to reach new heights and significantly contribute to the wider Web3 community.”

Joining Mullin on-stage at Consensus to announce the launch of the RWAccelerator, Richard Widdman said, “We’re excited to collaborate with MANTRA to support the next wave of innovative Web3 startups focused on tokenizing real-world assets. By providing access to Google Cloud’s infrastructure and expertise, we aim to create an environment where these startups can truly thrive, experiment, and push the boundaries of what’s possible in the Web3 space.”

Applications for the first intake to the RWAccelerator will be accepted starting today through March 20, 2025 at www.mantrachain.io/ecosystem/RWAccelerator. Chosen participants will be notified by April 1 and will begin the three-month program with an in-person summit in Dubai. Applications for the second intake will open March 20, 2025.

The launch of the RWAccelerator follows MANTRA successfully obtaining a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) license from Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA), to operate as a Virtual Asset Exchange, as well as provide Broker-Dealer and Management and Investment Services.

Ericsson and Telstra pioneer the first programmable network in Asia-Pacific

  • Four-year deployment will put Telstra’s network, and related offerings, among global frontrunners
  • Network capabilities will drive differentiated connectivity for Telstra’s consumer and enterprise customers and create new monetization opportunities
  • Accelerates innovation from wider ecosystems via network APIs

STOCKHOLM, Feb. 20, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Customers of Australian communications service provider (CSP) Telstra are set to become the first in the Asia-Pacific region to benefit from a high-performing, programmable network with 5G Advanced capabilities, thanks to a major partnership with Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC).

Under the four-year deal, Telstra will upgrade its radio access network (RAN) with Ericsson’s next-generation Open RAN-ready hardware solutions and 5G Advanced software. It will also implement AI and automation to optimize network management through self-detection and self-healing capabilities.

The transformation will power Telstra with one of the most advanced, resilient and reliable 5G networks in the world. Telstra’s programmable network will provide a platform for innovative application development and the ability to tailor superior connectivity to the unique requirements of its customers, including new performance-based offerings.

Further, it will open the network to tech innovators from wider ecosystems via network APIs (Application Programming Interfaces).

The adoption and acceleration in uptake of network APIs, and how they can drive telecom industry monetization opportunities, is also the focus of the recently announced global venture, Aduna, of which Ericsson and Telstra are founding members. Telstra’s new 5G Advanced network capabilities will be central to the delivery of such API-based services.

The high-performing capabilities of the 5G Standalone (5G SA) solutions involved are also key to enabling the next-generation use cases and developer innovation that will make Industry 4.0 a reality in Australia.

Vicki Brady, CEO of Telstra, says, “We are at an inflection point, where customer needs for technology and connectivity are becoming more sophisticated, requiring a step change in how connectivity is delivered and consumed. At the same time, demand for mobile data on our network has tripled over the past five years.

“Through our partnership with Ericsson, the first-of-its-kind for any operator across Asia-Pacific, we will evolve our offering and improve the efficiency of how we use our spectrum so we can increase our 5G network capacity to deliver better consistency of performance, reliability and speed to millions of customers.

“With a programmable network we will move from a one-size-fits all proposition, to being able to deliver more sophisticated use cases and commercial models to provide a differentiated and more tailored connectivity experience to customers.”

Börje Ekholm, President and CEO, Ericsson, says: “High-performing programmable networks are the building blocks to digitalize enterprises and nations. Telstra – a longstanding early adopter partner of Ericsson – is set to enjoy the benefits that Ericsson 5G Standalone connectivity will bring. This faster, more secure, and differentiated connectivity will transform consumer and enterprise experiences and enable developers to use 5G technologies to experiment, innovate, and build game-changing applications. Through this deal, Telstra is also empowering Australians – from single developers to the nation’s largest industries – to play their part in ensuring Australia is competitive on the global stage. We look forward to working closely with Telstra to make that happen.”

OTHER TELSTRA BENEFITS

The new network will maximize Telstra’s spectrum investments and operational efficiency. It aims to double 5G capacity, deliver improved consistency of service, increase depth of coverage, increase uplink and downlink speeds, and reduce energy consumption.

In addition, it will enable the transformation of traditional one-size fits all mobile services towards differentiated connectivity, where consumers and enterprises can create their own service experience.

MORE ON THE TECH

Solutions include Ericsson’s Open RAN-ready Massive MIMO radios and new RAN Compute solutions as well as Ericsson’s latest 5G Advanced subscriptions to deliver new services, drive operational efficiency, and increase performance. The scope also includes Ericsson Intelligent Automation Platform (EIAP), Ericsson’s open network management and automation platform for open, multi-vendor and multi-technology networks, supporting all 4G and 5G RAN.

EIAP will improve network management and automation by leveraging EIAP and developer eco-system tools to create and deploy custom applications (rApps) that employ advanced automation techniques, including machine learning and AI, to optimize the network and deliver improved sustainable operations.

This latest partnership extension builds on Ericsson and Telstra’s long-standing collaboration across radio access networks, core, optical, transport and business support systems.

ADUNA

In addition to Ericsson and Telstra, the founding members of Aduna are América Móvil, AT&T, Bharti Airtel, Deutsche Telekom, Orange, Reliance Jio, Singtel, Telefonica, T-Mobile, Verizon, and Vodafone.

The venture was announced in September 2024, with the company name announced in January 2025. It aims to combine and sell network APIs on a global scale to spur innovation in digital services.

Partners will open their networks to make advanced capabilities easily accessible to millions of developers world-wide, through a global platform for aggregated network APIs. This aim is to drive new use cases across multiple industries and sectors.

GrandTech Cloud (Singapore)’s “Pizza Blitz” Campaign – To Introduce “A Friend to Startups” to Singapore’s Startup Scene

SINGAPORE – Media OutReach Newswire – 20 February 2025 – GrandTech Cloud Services (GCS) announced their Singapore entry with a “Pizza Blitz” campaign, delivering 300 pizzas to over 200 startups, influencers, and VC’s across Singapore this week. This initiative aims to introduce GCS’s business and the vision of “F2SU” (A Friend to Startups), a dedicated platform designed to support startup growth.

Innovative Marketing Strategy to Empower Startups

In today’s highly competitive startup landscape, establishing a strong brand presence and market influence is essential. Recognizing this, GCS has adopted a creative and startup-friendly approach with the “Pizza Blitz” campaign—leveraging one of the world’s most beloved foods to break through traditional marketing conventions. This campaign creates a warm and engaging first impression for GCS and F2SU within Singapore’s dynamic startup ecosystem.

More than just a promotional effort, “Pizza Blitz” is a strategic outreach initiative designed to foster engagement and collaboration within the startup community. Through this campaign, GCS aims to showcase how F2SU can help startups connect with essential resources, accelerate market expansion and growth, and optimize cloud costs.

“We’re not just sending pizzas; we’re sending a message about F2SU,” says Sebastien Khoo, Head of GTM, Singapore at GCS. “We want Singapore’s startups, influencers, and VCs to know about F2SU and how it can help them thrive. “Startup founders face countless challenges every day, and we want to provide them with real, actionable solutions—delivered in a way that’s both engaging, practical and impactful.”

From Pizza to Possibilities: Showcasing F2SU’s Value Proposition

The reason behind choosing pizzas over other types of food is that pizza is a practical meal on its own containing all the necessary ingredients to make a balanced meal, similar to GCS’ fuss-free and practical solutions offered. “It’s fuss-free and can be consumed while working, which is the typical start-up culture of non-stop hustling. Therefore, each pizza delivery is more than just a meal—it’s a reflection of GCS’s commitment to the startup community”, says Sebastien. To show appreciation for every recipient, the GCS team has handwritten over 300 personalized cards, each included in the pizza boxes alongside detailed information about the core benefits of F2SU.

Through this initiative, GCS is not only sparking interest in F2SU within Singapore’s startup scene but also inviting startups to experience its real-world value. This campaign serves as a gateway to deeper discussions on how F2SU can drive tangible business success.

Redefining Traditional Business Approaches with Authentic, Impactful Engagement

Rather than relying on conventional business meetings or standard marketing promotions, GCS has chosen a direct, effective, and personal approach to engaging with the startup community—using pizza as a bridge to foster meaningful conversations.

“Huge thanks to GCS for the unexpected pizza drop-off – it was both thoughtful and delicious! There’s something about sharing a few slices that helps everyone relax and jump into more candid and fruitful discussions on how our we can mutually thrive with our ecosystem partners”, says Hoo Yuanyang, CEO of Paywho.

GCS envisions “Pizza Blitz” not as a one-time promotional effort, but as the beginning of long-term collaborations and business growth opportunities. Moving forward, GCS will continue to expand F2SU’s presence across Singapore and the broader Asia-Pacific region, helping more startups establish themselves in the global market and achieve sustained growth.

More than just a pizza giveaway, “Pizza Blitz” is a sincere invitation from GCS to Singapore’s startup ecosystem—a call to explore new possibilities for success through collaboration, innovation, and fruitful strategic partnerships.

Harmony in Motion: Where Art Meets Philosophy, Showcasing the Beauty of Life

Rooted in ancient traditions, The Interconnected Dance embodies balance, harmony, and the infinite cycles of life. Fluid brushstrokes and meticulously crafted designs bring to life the dynamic interplay between Yin and Yang and the Five Elements, each represented through bold symbolism and a palete of black, gold, and earthy tones. Natural motifs—tree rings, lotus flowers, mountains, and flowing water—anchor the artwork in organic beauty, creating a visually stunning and deeply reflective experience that allows viewers to feel the rhythm and beauty of life through art.

The Five Elements: A Journey of Symbolism and Energy

1. The Luster of Gold

Gold represents prosperity and integrity, embodying the principle of righteousness (義). The element underscores that true wealth lies in ethical values and the ability to uplift others through shared brilliance.

2. The Spirit of Wood

Wood embodies growth, introspection, and adaptability, resonating with benevolence (仁). Yang Wood is depicted as a majestic tree, symbolising strength and resilience, while Yin Wood mirrors delicate vines or blooming flowers, reflecting grace and creativity. Annual rings within the design mark time’s passage, celebrating life’s gradual journey and the power of nurturing spaces to foster growth.

3. The Fluidity of Water

Water symbolises intuition and emotional depth, echoing wisdom (智慧). Yang Water flows as a powerful river, channelling movement and strength, while Yin Water embodies the tranquillity of a serene lake, inspiring reflection. The lotus flower—rooted in mud yet rising in purity—serves as a metaphor for enlightenment amid adversity, inviting audiences to embrace change with calm resilience.

4. The Dance of Fire

Fire ignites passion and transformation, embodying ritual (禮). Yang Fire roars as a fierce blaze, symbolising dynamic energy, while Yin Fire glows softly like a candle, offering comfort and subtle illumination. The interplay of light and shadow in the design encourages spaces that spark creativity and connection, reminding viewers that even in darkness, renewal is possible.

5. The Foundation of Earth

Earth embodies trust (信), stability, and nourishment. Yang Earth stands as a mighty mountain, reflecting endurance, while Yin Earth evokes fertile soil, nurturing growth and connection. The design promotes grounded, inviting spaces that cultivate belonging, reminding us that trust is the cornerstone of meaningful relationships.

More Than Half of Workers in Hong Kong are Considering Changing Employers in 2025, Aon Study Reveals

HONG KONG SAR – Media OutReach Newswire – 20 February 2025 – Aon plc (NYSE: AON), a leading global professional services firm, today released results from its 2025 Human Capital Employee Sentiment Study with new insights specific to employees in Hong Kong. The global study of more than 9,000 employees across 23 geographies, including the U.S., UK, China, India and Australia, found that more than half of workers in Hong Kong are considering changing employers.

The research reveals a troubling trend: almost one in five employees (17 percent) in Hong Kong feel undervalued in their current roles compared to seven percent in mainland China and 13 percent globally.

Dissatisfaction with Compensation and Benefits

The study reveals that 60 percent of employees in Hong Kong do not believe their compensation is fair compared to similar roles in the industry, a figure significantly higher than the global benchmark of 37 percent. Further, more than one third of the workforce (35 percent) in Hong Kong is not confident there is adequate investment in their skills development — double the global average. These results point to growing employee dissatisfaction in the Hong Kong market and may explain why the majority (63 percent) either plan to switch jobs or are considering doing so within the next year.

Competitive pay and meaningful benefits are identified as the most influential factors when deciding to stay with or join a company, signalling the need for employers to act swiftly to improve employee benefits and offer competitive rewards.

Paid Time Off Ranked Top-Value Benefit

The study identified the top five benefits valued by employees in Hong Kong:

  1. Paid time off
  2. Medical coverage
  3. Work-life balance programs
  4. Retirement savings
  5. Dental insurance

Medical coverage was the second highest valued benefit across all generations, with Gen X and Gen Z rating it higher than Gen Y (Millennials). Rising cost of living and an ageing workforce has increased health and financial concerns, prompting employees to seek better medical coverage and support.

More than half of the employees (57 percent) would be willing to sacrifice existing benefits for a better choice of benefits, presenting an opportunity for employers to provide personalised and flexible benefit options to meet the needs of their workforce.

A staggering 75 percent of employees in Hong Kong prefer office-based working arrangements, over 20 percent higher than the global average.

Top Employee Expectations

The study also identified the top expectations employees have of their employers:

  1. 33 percent said employers should help employees save for retirement/long-term needs.
  2. 28 percent said employers should support employee wellbeing.
  3. 20 percent said employers should support women’s health (e.g., menstruation, menopause).
  4. 19 percent said employers should help them establish an emergency fund.
  5. 18 percent said employers should support with eldercare or family care.

Ernest Leung, head of Hong Kong for Aon said, “While organisations may perceive unmet salary expectations as the primary reason for employee turnover, employees evaluate all aspects of their roles and total rewards when deciding whether to remain with an organisation. With evolving technologies and an ageing workforce, the growth of businesses in Hong Kong will greatly depend on the ability of organisations to attract and retain top talent across multiple generations. It is crucial, therefore, for organisations to adopt more creative and innovative compensation practices using data-driven analytics and insights as part of their overall people strategy.”

The study also brings attention to the lack of equity in pay and career development practices, with 41 percent of employees not confident their employer ensures gender pay equality. Additionally, women are 11 percent more likely than men to want career development and learning. This reinforces the need for employers to take steps to offer customised benefits across demographics including pay transparency and career development to attract and retain top women talent.
