Sprinkles (HK) Charity Foundation Donates to The Education University of Hong Kong to Promote “Harmony between Humanity and Nature Sustainable Education” Project

HONG KONG, Dec. 23, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) has received a donation of HK$2.95 million from the Sprinkles (HK) Charity Foundation (“Sprinkles”) to develop the “Harmony between Humanity and Nature Sustainable Education” project. Through curriculum development, teacher training, and community engagement, the project aims to enhance student and public awareness and action regarding environmental protection, sustainable development, and green finance. It specifically addresses the current lack of awareness of green issues among youth and helps establish deeper cultural resonance by exploring the application of traditional Chinese wisdom in modern environmental education.

The cheque presentation ceremony was held at EdUHK on December 19, 2025. Dr. Ma Jun, Chairman of Sprinkles, presented the donation on behalf of the Foundation. It was received by EdUHK representatives: President Professor John Lee Chi-Kin; Professor YUNG, Kin Lam Ken, Associate Vice President (Knowledge Transfer and Sustainability);  Associate Vice President (Knowledge Transfer and Development); and Dr. Lai Chi-shing, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Chinese Language Studies. Professor Karen Cheung, President of the UNESCO Hong Kong Association and Dean of the Hong Kong Institute of Education for Sustainable Development, also attended to witness the event.

The research will pioneeringly integrate “Green Finance Education,” a key focus of the Foundation, with traditional ecological philosophy. It aims to construct a “Harmony between Humanity and Nature” environmental education model, providing a new paradigm for global sustainable development education that combines cultural depth with an empirical foundation, further realizing the Foundation’s vision of “benefiting mankind through ecological protection.”

EdUHK President John Lee expressed his heartfelt gratitude for Sprinkles’ support. He noted, “Sustainable education is not merely the transmission of knowledge, but the shaping of values and behaviors. We hope that through education, we can cultivate future generations to live more responsibly and work together to build a more resilient society.”

President Lee praised Sprinkles for engaging in “a cause with vision, action, and warmth,” and looked forward to further deepening the integration of environmental concepts and educational practices with the Foundation’s support, jointly creating a greener and more inclusive future.

Dr. Ma Jun stated that he is delighted to establish a partnership with EdUHK. He believes that leveraging EdUHK’s professional strengths and rich experience in the education sector will inject continuous momentum into the sustainable development of society.

Sprinkles has always been committed to environmental education and the promotion of green finance. In addition to organizing the “Children’s Environmental Essay and Painting Competition,” it has produced environmental education animations such as “Raine’s Green Realm Rescue” (tentatively titled). Supporting EdUHK’s “Harmony between Humanity and Nature Sustainable Education” research continues the Foundation’s emphasis on education. Drawing on past experience in producing environmental animations, the project will attempt to combine AI technology to design teaching materials and curricula, hoping to cultivate students’ ecological awareness in a vivid manner and further enhance the standard and dissemination capabilities of green finance education. Furthermore, this research will explore the practical application of Chinese ecological concepts across different geopolitical and cultural backgrounds, aligning with Sprinkles’ vision of promoting cross-regional exchange to spread green concepts further.

Conpapa Strengthens Presence in Japan with Visual Feedback SaaS “reat”

SEOUL, South Korea, Dec. 23, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Conpapa, a visual creative collaboration SaaS company, announced that its visual feedback platform reat is expanding its footprint in Japan, where it is being adopted by content studios and creative teams seeking to improve production efficiency and collaboration.

As Japan’s animation, webtoon, video, and digital content industries face tighter schedules and increasingly complex workflows, Conpapa positions reat as a solution designed specifically for visual communication. The cloud-based platform replaces fragmented email- and messenger-based feedback with a centralized, visual-first system that allows teams to review, comment, and revise creative assets more efficiently.

In Japan, reat is already being used by professional creative teams, including Tokyo-based webtoon studio en-dolphin. According to internal evaluations and customer case studies, the platform has enabled teams to prepare, communicate, and implement feedback up to seven times faster. en-dolphin reported a tenfold improvement in overall operational efficiency after adopting reat, highlighting its effectiveness in managing revisions and collaboration.

Japan’s creative industry places a strong emphasis on quality, precision, and efficient teamwork,” said Joonsoo Ryu, CEO of Conpapa. “We developed reat to help Japanese creators reduce communication friction and focus more on creative value, especially as projects become more collaborative and global.”

reat is designed to support a wide range of production environments. Its core capabilities include structured version control based on a workspace–project–file–version hierarchy, compatibility with diverse asset formats such as images, video, 3D models, documents, and audio, and precise pinpoint comments placed directly on visual content. The platform also supports multimodal feedback combining text, drawings, image markups, voice, and video.

To meet the needs of professional studios, reat offers a dual-view interface for side-by-side version comparison and flexible collaboration through workspace sharing, plugins, and APIs that integrate with existing creative tools. The platform supports Japanese, English, and Korean, enabling both domestic collaboration and international co-production.

Offered as a subscription-based SaaS with pricing tiers for teams of different sizes, reat is increasingly being adopted as a core workflow tool by Japanese content studios. At the same time, the platform is gaining traction among video editing and post-production services in the United States, strengthening its global reference base.

Looking ahead, Conpapa plans to enhance reat’s proprietary Immersive Layer and contextual AI engine, enabling the platform to not only manage feedback but also generate and propose context-aware visual assets. This roadmap reflects the company’s long-term vision of redefining the interface between creators and AI.

Conpapa has been selected as a supported company in an overseas expansion assistance program, operated by Korea’s Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA), supporting its continued expansion in Japan and other global markets.

New Initiative, tre100, Bridges Gap Between Taiwanese Businesses and Global RE100 Standards

TAIPEI, Dec. 23, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — The global renewable electricity initiative, RE100, requires participating companies to consume at least 0.1 terawatt-hours (TWh) of electricity per year. However, most companies in Taiwan fall below this threshold and are therefore unable to demonstrate their renewable electricity commitments and achievements on an internationally recognized platform. To address this gap, the Chung-Hua Institution for Economic Research (CIER) has established tre100 an initiative that enables companies of all sizes and sectors in Taiwan to commit to sourcing 100% renewable electricity by 2050.

Led by CIER, the official RE100 Local Campaign Partner in Taiwan, tre100 follows the same technical criteria and reporting standards as RE100 but removes the minimum electricity-use requirement. This allows Taiwanese companies to credibly disclose their renewable electricity progress and align with international expectations, regardless of company size.

Tre100 is particularly valuable for suppliers within global supply chains. As multinational corporations increasingly require their suppliers to use renewable electricity, and prioritize partnerships with companies that can demonstrate such commitments, smaller suppliers often face challenges in proving their progress without affiliation to a recognized initiative. The lack of a credible reporting framework can put Taiwanese suppliers and non-large energy users at a disadvantage when competing for international clients.

At the official launch of tre100 on December 12, Tze-Luen Lin, Deputy Executive Director of the Executive Yuan’s Energy and Carbon Reduction Office, noted that tre100 will help improve business negotiations for suppliers by providing transparent and standardized reporting. Han-Chang Hsieh, Deputy Director-General of the Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection, also expressed support for tre100, highlighting its role as a verification tool that international clients can rely on when assessing Taiwanese companies.

CIER is well positioned to lead tre100, having served as RE100’s Local Campaign Partner for more than six years. Through its close collaboration with Climate Group, CIER has published three RE100 Taiwan Reports, which have become key reference materials on Taiwan’s renewable electricity market for both domestic and international stakeholders.

The first companies to join tre100 include Gudeng, FSP and SUSS. At the launch event, these firms emphasized the importance of having a dedicated platform to clearly communicate their renewable electricity targets and progress to global partners.

Tre100 represents a significant step toward expanding renewable electricity commitments beyond large energy users to include the majority of Taiwanese companies. By aligning with RE100 standards and reporting practices, tre100 is expected to accelerate Taiwan’s renewable energy transition while strengthening the global competitiveness of its members.

Temu Signs Australian Equipment Safety Pledge to Enhance Consumer Protection

SYDNEY, Dec. 23, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Temu has joined the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA)’s Equipment Safety Pledge, a new voluntary initiative aimed at strengthening consumer protections and reduce the availability of unsafe or illegal communications devices sold online. Temu is among the founding signatories of the pledge, alongside other major e-commerce platforms, reflecting a shared commitment to consumer safety and regulatory compliance in Australia.

Announced by the ACMA in December 2025, the pledge outlines a series of voluntary commitments aimed at helping prevent the sale of unlawful and non-compliant radiocommunications devices. These products can include dodgy two-way radios, illegal jammers, mobile phone boosters, unauthorised cellular repeaters and various ‘grey market’ mobile phones that may pose risks to public safety or interfere with essential communications services.

“In signing up to this new pledge, these eCommerce sellers are stepping up to help consumers avoid trouble by preventing dodgy devices being sold on their platforms. These sellers have committed to not being a gateway for illegal and non-compliant products,” said Samantha Yorke, a Member of the ACMA. “Coming into a peak purchasing period, this pledge identifies those platforms that have committed to reducing the risk of consumers buying illegal devices, including those that can cause harmful interference to crucial public safety services.”

ACMA’s Equipment Safety Pledge signatories are committed to:

  • Stopping the sale of non-compliant and illegal communications devices through proactive detection and removal of listings
  • Cooperating with the ACMA, including by removing flagged listings within two business days of notification from the ACMA
  • Raising awareness by educating sellers
  • Giving consumers clear ways to report listings of dodgy devices

“Temu’s mission is to provide consumers with safe, affordable, and reliable choices,” said a Temu spokesperson. “Joining ACMA’s Equipment Safety Pledge as one of its early signatories reinforces our commitment to protecting consumers and supporting a safe and compliant marketplace in Australia.”

Dhanarak Asset Development Unveils Thailand’s First Green Government City at Government Complex Bangkok

BANGKOK, THAILAND – Media OutReach Newswire – 23 December 2025 – Dhanarak Asset Development Co., Ltd. (DAD), the state-owned enterprise responsible for managing Thailand’s Government Complex, has announced the successful transformation of the site into a pioneering green and walkable urban prototype, positioning it as a model for sustainable government-led city development.

City of Green Lifestyles by Dr. Nalikatibhag Sangsnit
City of Green Lifestyles by Dr. Nalikatibhag Sangsnit

Under the leadership of Dr. Nalikatibhag Sangsnit, President of DAD, the multi-year redevelopment program reimagines state-owned land, one that treats public land not as a bureaucratic perimeter, but as shared civic infrastructure that prioritizes people, health, and nature.

Dr. Nalikatibhag Sangsnit, DAD’s President
Dr. Nalikatibhag Sangsnit, DAD’s President

“For decades, government districts in Thailand were designed to manage paperwork, not people,” Nalikatibhag said. “We wanted to reverse that logic. A city, especially a city owned by the state, must first work for human life: how people walk, how they rest, how they breathe, and how they coexist with nature in their daily routines.”

Before-and-after comparison of Government Complex Bangkok after its green redevelopment
Before-and-after comparison of Government Complex Bangkok after its green redevelopment

From Bureaucratic Grey to Green Living

The centrepiece of the initiative is the newly opened 5.1-rai landscaped connector between Buildings B and C, a site that once functioned primarily as a traffic corridor and noise buffer. The area has been transformed into a pedestrian-friendly green passage linking offices, transit access points and communal spaces within the Government Complex.

Designed as urban infrastructure, a climate buffer reduces heat, improves water absorption and supports daily movement across the site. It also opens previously restricted government land to wider public use, blurring the boundary between administrative space and the city around it.

The project aligns with Thailand’s broader sustainability frameworks, including environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles and the government’s bio-circular-green (BCG) economic model. Design features focus on expanding tree canopy, increasing permeable surfaces and creating flexible areas that can support exercise, informal gatherings and community activity.

A Scalable Blueprint for State-Led Urban Transformation

Over the past six years, DAD has increased green spaces within the Government Complex by more than 47 rai, and when combined with adjacent landscaped zones, the total reaches over 138 rai, creating one of northern Bangkok’s largest continuous public green areas.

Nalikatibhag describes the City of Green Lifestyles concept not as a one-off redevelopment, but as a template for future public-sector land use, particularly in rapidly urbanising Asian cities where governments remain among the largest landowners.

“This is about proving that sustainability is not an added cost or a branding exercise,” he said. “When green infrastructure is designed as part of the system, when it improves health, reduces stress, lowers energy demand and invites public use, it becomes economically rational and socially inevitable. The role of the state is not only to regulate cities, but to set an example of how cities should be lived in.”

Global Recognition for Innovation

DAD’s sustainability efforts have earned international acclaim. In 2025, the company became the only public-sector organisation to win the Asia-level International Innovation Awards for two consecutive years, recognising its Government Complex Smart City initiative and the GCC Super Application, a digital platform integrating transport, navigation, and public services within the complex.

The awards, selected from more than 160 entries across 30 countries, underscore Thailand’s growing leadership in sustainable and technology-driven public sector transformation.

Redefining the Role of the State in City-Making

Unlike large-scale urban megaprojects, the Government Complex Bangkok initiative relies on system-based, incremental transformation, repurposing existing assets instead of acquiring new land. Urban policy analysts note that this approach provides a scalable blueprint for other governments managing extensive real estate portfolios.

“A government city should not feel separate from everyday life,” Dr. Nalikatibhag said. “If public space eases the intensity of daily life, improves health and restores a sense of balance between people and nature, then governance itself becomes more humane.”
