New Partnership Creates Speed, Scale, and Security for Corporate Resources

KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA – Media OutReach – 15 August 2023 – CloudMile, a leading AI and cloud technology company based in Asia that focuses on digital transformation and growth for its corporate clients, has announced a strategic partnership with MongoDB, providing CloudMile’s corporate clients with MongoDB Atlas. Through this partnership, CloudMile’s customers will have access to MongoDB Atlas—a cloud-native developer data platform—on Google Cloud to provide developers with the flexibility and scalability required to quickly and easily build enterprise-grade applications.

CloudMile’s corporate clients can now leverage MongoDB Atlas to accelerate their product development, build scalable and secure applications, and gain detailed insights into their data. MongoDB’s fully managed developer data platform works hand-in-hand with Google Cloud’s open data cloud to provide unmatched speed, scale and security.

Strategic Partnership Empowers Customers

Businesses today face many challenges when it comes to data management, including data silos and slow query times. The partnership between CloudMile and MongoDB tackles these challenges, providing customers with a modern, intuitive, and unified developer data platform that provides detailed insights into customers, products, and operations.

Together with Google Cloud BigQuery, MongoDB Atlas allows customers to enrich operational data and enhance end-customer experiences. MongoDB Atlas handles the real-time operational applications with thousands of concurrent sessions and millisecond response times. Its curated subsets of data are then replicated to BigQuery for aggregation, complex analytics, and the application of machine learning.

Accelerating Mobile Gaming Development Efficiency

The current mobile gaming market in Asia is experiencing a 3 to 5% compound annual growth rate (CAGR). To better leverage the power of data and address this growth opportunity, CloudMile and MongoDB’s partnership has already helped a leading gaming company in Taiwan greatly reduce maintenance and operation costs, allowing them to focus on product development. Alongside Google Cloud services delivered by CloudMile, MongoDB Atlas is easy to deploy, fulfilling the needs of scalability with performance and high availability. MongoDB Atlas streamlines data synchronization via ACID Transaction, saving game developers time by using a unified platform through a single API, while also offering comprehensive security and data protection features to ensure business continuity and resilience during data storage and transmission. The flexible document data model, transaction function, and Google Cloud’s built-in security provide gamers with a controlled environment and allow them to enjoy games without downtime.

Fulfilling Digital Transformation With Optimized Solutions

“Through CloudMile, enterprises in Malaysia can seamlessly deploy partner products alongside our own. For example, they can release a new deployment of MongoDB Atlas alongside BigQuery to share transactional data and run complex, real-time analytics over petabyte-scale datasets. CloudMile, MongoDB, and Google Cloud are fundamentally committed to breaking down data silos and ensuring that our customers can securely harness the power of data from any source, in any location, and on any platform. We look forward to deepening our collaboration to help businesses of all sizes succeed at every step of their data-driven digital transformation journeys,” said Patrick Wee, Country Manager, Malaysia, Google Cloud.

Commenting on the announcement, Lester Leong, Country Manager of CloudMile Malaysia, said, “We are excited to announce this strategic partnership with MongoDB. MongoDB is well known for its horizontal scaling and load-balancing capabilities, which have given application developers exceptional flexibility and scalability. The collaboration will drive further growth and create new opportunities.”

“The partnership between CloudMile and MongoDB brings together the power of AI, our developer data platform and cloud technology to empower customers to gain detailed insights into their data, accelerate their product development, and enhance end-customer experiences,” said Simon Eid, Senior Vice President of APAC, MongoDB. “We are committed to driving growth and success together in the region.”

The strategic partnership is expected to create significant synergies and opportunities for both companies, driving further growth and success in solving industry challenges, build credibility, and establish trust amongst their joint customers.

BingX will be the First CEX to List SEI Coin, Airdrop Guide Released in May

SINGAPORE – Media OutReach – 14 August 2023 – BingX, a cryptocurrency exchange , is excited to announce the launch of the Layer 1 public chain project SEI on August 15th, becoming one of the first CEXs to launch SEI coin. At the same time, the airdrop guide for SEI tokens was also released earlier on May 31st to help users understand the related activities of token airdrops.
SEI stands as a layer 1 public blockchain operating within the COSMOS ecosystem, with a specific emphasis on fostering decentralized finance (DeFi) applications. Garnering a valuation of $800 million and backed by $100 million in funding, SEI has swiftly risen to prominence, joining the ranks of notable public blockchain endeavors like Aptos and Sui. What sets SEI apart from Aptos and Sui is its strategic decision to harness the power of the COSMOS ecosystem rather than constructing its own from scratch. This deliberate approach enables SEI to channel its energies into DeFi pursuits, culminating in a substantial surge in transactions per second (TPS) to approximately 20,000—a remarkable 80% surge compared to the capabilities of COSMOS. Additionally, SEI’s technological methodology encompasses the parallel processing of blockchain transactions, setting it apart from conventional queuing methodologies.
In order to foster community involvement, SEI has set aside 1% of the token supply for SEI airdrops. The team at QA.BingX has introduced a detailed airdrop handbook to streamline community engagement. This guide presents a series of clear steps, guaranteeing that users can effortlessly access their test tokens and accrue points by taking part in airdrop missions. By successfully accomplishing designated tasks, participants have the opportunity to amass points, which subsequently dictate the quantity of tokens they receive in the airdrop distribution.
BingX is committed to conducting thorough evaluations of projects featured on its platform. A dedicated team of skilled researchers diligently analyzes the inherent risks associated with new coin projects before granting them a place on the exchange. This stringent evaluation process ensures that only projects meeting the highest standards are showcased on BingX’s prestigious spot trading platform.
Moreover, BingX maintains vigilant supervision over the stability and performance of projects listed on its platform, even after their initial introduction to the trading arena. This ongoing assessment phase enables BingX to reassess the project’s suitability for potential inclusion on its Futures trading platform. Through this meticulous approach, BingX aims to minimize potential risks for traders and establish a trading environment that is both secure and reliable.

Microsoft solutions boost Fortune 500 frontline productivity with next-generation AI

SINGAPORE – Media OutReach – 14 August 2023 – Frontline workers represent the face of organizations and make up the lion’s share of the workforce. Gartner estimates that there are 2.7 billion frontline workers — more than twice the number of desk-based workers.i The current macroeconomic climate highlighted by labor and supply chain shortages has put a lot of pressure on these workers to carry more work as organizations drive efficiency across business operations.

The recent Work Trend Index shows that there is an opportunity for digital tools to help ease the burden on these essential workers. Over 60% of frontline workers struggle with having to do repetitive or menial tasks that take time away from more meaningful work and not having enough of the necessary resources to get their work done efficiently.ii In addition, 1 in 2 frontline workers cite being burned out in their jobs, and 45% note they are likely to consider changing employers in the next year.ii Investment in technology that enables frontline workers to thrive is a huge opportunity for business leaders – one that will drive positive outcomes for employees, customers, and the bottom line if solved correctly.

Today, over 60% of the Fortune 500 use Microsoft 365 to empower frontline workers. Microsoft is committed to investing in innovative solutions to help frontline workers thrive. With AI transforming productivity across most segments of the workforce, Microsoft’s Work Trend Index survey found that 65% of frontline workers are optimistic that AI will help them in their jobs.ii.

Microsoft is excited to introduce new tools and integrations including bringing the power of next-generation AI to the frontline across three key areas:

  1. Intelligent operations
  2. Effortless communication
  3. Trusted experiences

These innovations will improve efficiency, enhance customer experiences, and enable faster decision making.

Intelligent operations
Whether it’s for an inspection, installation or a maintenance request, frontline service managers want to spend their time helping their team deliver exceptional service operations and not on inefficient tasks like copying and pasting information from one system to another. Microsoft seeks to infuse the productivity applications frontline managers use every day with the robust data and intelligence of underlying business applications. This helps streamline the frontline experience and drive efficiency with operations.

  1. Copilot in Dynamics 365 Field Service with Outlook and Microsoft Teams integrations brings the power of next-generation AI to service professionals on the frontline. Frontline service managers who receive customer escalations in Outlook or Microsoft Teams can use Copilot in Dynamics 365 to streamline work order creation with relevant details pre-populated from emails or chats, optimize technician scheduling with data-driven recommendations based on factors such as travel time, availability and skillset, as well as generate draft responses to customer messages summarizing next steps without switching apps.
  2. Dynamics 365 Field Service app in Microsoft Teams will enable frontline technicians to access key work order functionality in their flow of work. Technicians will now be able to see upcoming work orders at a glance in their home experience in Teams, share full work order details and easily access Dynamics 365 Remote Assist in one click to troubleshoot with remote experts in real time if they need additional support to complete jobs.

Maintaining end-to-end visibility on operations can be time-consuming for frontline managers with fluctuating team schedules and often a large, dispersed team. Soon Microsoft 365 Copilot can ground prompts and retrieve insights for frontline managers, leveraging data from the Shifts app with a new Shifts plugin for Microsoft 365 Copilot, in addition to user and company data it has access to such as Teams chat history, SharePoint, emails and more. This will enable frontline managers to quickly get a list of important items specific to their team and location to speed up time-consuming tasks like covering shifts and onboarding new employees.

Effortless communication
Workplace culture is built upon a connection to the company mission, and it all starts with strong lines of communication. When companies establish an easy way to access consistent communications, frontline workers feel informed and connected. With a single communications platform to reach their entire workforce, corporate communicators don’t have to switch out of their digital workspace to connect to the frontline.

  1. Announcements in Viva Connections enables corporate communicators to draft, schedule and target important announcements like urgent communications, role-specific updates and safety policy changes to frontline workers. Communicators can quickly send messages directly from Viva Connections without having to leave Teams. Messages are delivered to the frontline through push notifications on their mobile devices and announcement cards in their Teams home experience.
  2. To build a sense of belonging and purpose across the entire workforce, Targeted Campaigns in Viva Engage enables communicators to create campaigns that promote company-wide initiatives targeted to frontline audiences.

Trusted experiences
Many on the frontline work across multiple devices and often hand them over after a shift ends. To enable shift and part-time workers to be productive from the moment they log in, Windows 365 Frontline makes it easy and affordable to extend the power of Cloud PCs to employees on the frontline so they can securely access their personalized Windows experience on any device, no matter where they work.

Securing data across shared devices, while still ensuring a seamless end-user experience can be challenging. A digital identity allows frontline workers to access and move between the technology needed to do their work, whether they are on a shared device or a dedicated one.

  1. For organizations using Intune, they can use Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory) to enable a single sign-in and sign-out experience for Teams, Outlook, Power Apps and more with shared device mode for Android and iOS devices. This allows frontline workers to wipe their device quickly and compliantly for the next shift.
  2. And organizations using SOTI or VMware Workspace ONE as their endpoint management solution can now also enroll Android devices in Microsoft Entra ID with shared device mode.

Microsoft believes that technology can be a powerful force to reimagine how work gets done. By investing in innovative solutions for the frontline workforce, it is helping to drive positive change for frontline employees, customers and the bottom line. Frontline innovations across Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365, Windows 365 Frontline, Intune and partner endpoint management solutions push the boundaries of what is possible and work toward a brighter future for all.

Samsung Singapore Unveils ViewFinity S9, an Astounding New 5K Monitor

Lifelike colour representation and extremely high-resolution brings quality visuals to work and entertainment in one monitor

SINGAPORE – Media OutReach – 14 August 2023 – Samsung Electronics Singapore today announced it is expanding its ViewFinity monitor lineup with the 27-inch ViewFinity S9 (S90PC model). The launch of the ViewFinity S9 strengthens Samsung’s high-resolution monitor lineup following the introduction of the ViewFinity S8 (S80PB model) in June 2022, which featured an Ultra High Definition (UHD) resolution. The new ViewFinity S9 is optimised with all the tools needed in industries like graphic design and photography and being named a CES Innovation Award honoree in 2023.

“Our new 5K monitor is designed to deliver the highest performance and best experience for professionals in creative and visual industries,” said Hoon Chung, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “With the ViewFinity lineup, we will provide creatives with top-notch visual experiences, along with the lifelike colour clarity and versatile connectivity they need to achieve the best in any project.”

ViewFinity S9 5k Monitor (2).jpg

The new ViewFinity S9 offers a 27″ screen with a 5K (5,120 x 2,880) resolution, for a workspace that’s over 50% bigger than other UHD monitors, with exceptional picture and text clarity. It allows for professionals to work on ultra-high resolution content without needing to zoom in, so they can view their projects in 5K while still keeping all their editing tools visible on screen.

With its 99% DCI-P3[1] and 218 PPI (pixels per inch), the ViewFinity S9 provides more saturated and vivid colours with crisper details, perfect for those who rely on visual fidelity.[2] Furthermore, a typical brightness of 600 cd/m2 makes it easy to work in nearly any lighting environment. Samsung’s calibration technology helps users achieve the accurate colour they want. During production, the monitor’s colour is factory calibrated for incredible Delta E <21 accuracy immediately out of the box.[3]

The ViewFinity S9 uses the Smart Calibration feature controlled with smartphones[4] which is the first in the industry, and users can conveniently customise the ViewFinity S9’s screen for precise settings without expensive, complex calibration equipment whenever they want. Using the SmartThings app, users can choose to calibrate in basic mode for a quick and easy adjustment of white balance and gamma settings, or they can use professional mode for complete control of colour temperature, luminance, colour space and gamma settings. Users can start this process simply by pointing their smartphone camera at the ViewFinity S9’s screen, and after calibration they can view a report detailing the adjustments made and the Delta E colour accuracy.

The ViewFinity S9 also supports its users with TUV-certified Intelligent Eye Care features to reduce eye strain, even over extended periods of use. Additionally, Samsung’s Matte Display limits light reflection and glare on the monitor, minimising distractions while working.

The visual performance of the ViewFinity S9 is also enhanced by features designed to make professionals’ lives easier.

The ViewFinity S9 features versatile connectivity for users of both Mac and Windows PCs, with Thunderbolt 4 and mini DisplayPort inputs in addition to USB-C. The Thunderbolt 4 compatibility allows users to charge devices with up to 90W of power and transfer data reliably at speeds up to 40 Gbps.[5]

The monitor comes equipped with a built-in 4K SlimFit camera that connects via pogo pin without additional cables or equipment. The camera’s high resolution delivers crystal clear quality for video calls on apps such as Google Meet. The camera tilts to fit the angle of your monitor, and Auto Framing[6] keeps you visible and in-shot, even when you shift position.

The ViewFinity S9’s slim metal design works for any space. With its ergonomic design, this monitor can provide comfort and improve productivity by adjusting to almost any position or posture. A height adjustable stand matches the user’s eye level, and the screen can tilt to match viewing angles. In Pivot mode, the screen rotates 90 degrees, so users can read long documents with less scrolling. With VESA mount compatibility, users can save space and keep desks clutter-free.

Embedded Smart TV apps give users the full TV experience when it’s time to switch to entertainment after work. Instant access to popular streaming apps and shows without needing a separate PC, built-in speakers with Adaptive Sound+ that automatically adjusts noise levels, and a remote control make this a well-rounded monitor for both work and play.

Local Availability and Pricing

The ViewFinity S9 is now available for preorder from 14 to 27 August 2023 in Singapore, with general availability starting 28 August 2023 at S$2,288 (including GST).

In addition, consumers who preorder the ViewFinity S9 will receive a complimentary Portable SSD T7 Shield 4TB in Black (worth S$488)[7].
