The Port of Huntsville Marks Second Consecutive Year of Growth in Intermodal Transportation and Achieves One Million Lifts

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., April 3, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — The International Intermodal Center (IIC) at the Port of Huntsville announces a second consecutive year of growth in cargo operations in 2024 and the best year since 2008 for rail lifts. The North Alabama inland port saw 22.3% more rail lifts in 2024 (33,745) than in 2023 (27,597). On March 19, 2025, the IIC surpassed a historic milestone of one million lifts.

Ericsson and Lenovo settle patent litigation

  • Settlement partially resolves patent licensing dispute between the parties, with financial impacts expected to be recognized from Q2 2025

STOCKHOLM, April 3, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) and Lenovo have reached a settlement to resolve their patent licensing dispute over a multi-year, global patent cross-license agreement between the two companies.

As part of the settlement, all ongoing lawsuits and administrative proceedings filed by both companies in several countries, including the actions pending before the United States International Trade Commission (USITC), will be withdrawn.

Financial impacts are expected to be recognized from Q2 2025, reflecting the partial settlement. The remaining patent licensing dispute will be fully resolved through an arbitration process between the parties.

These releases, based on O-RAN specifications, enhance integration between the O-RAN SC and the OpenAirInterface (OAI), enhance integration with Intel FlexRAN reference software, provide a more robust platform for RAN Intelligent Controller (RIC) application developers, and introduce an improved simulator for researchers. The J and K releases demonstrate how the O-RAN SC is meeting industry demands for open, efficient, and modular RAN software solutions. Quantinuum Selected by DARPA to Advance to First Stage of Quantum Benchmarking Initiative

Discovered in 2003 by gem hunter Don Kogen during a routine expedition through the Mavuco district of Mozambique’s Nampula province, the original crystal weighed an astounding 830 carats. At the exhibition, Shanghai Electric unveiled over 20 cutting-edge technologies, including automation solutions for the aerospace sector, new energy vehicle (NEV) manufacturing systems, and zero-carbon industrial park solutions. Three flagship products stole the spotlight:

  • The Thinker” Smart PV Module: A next-generation photovoltaic solution integrated with real time AI-driven optimization for maximum energy yield.
  • Next-Gen Hydrogen Cubic-Level Type-I Electrolyzer: Based on independently developed high-performance composite membrane technology, it can achieve technological advantages such as high hydrogen production, high energy efficiency, and easy operation and maintenance;
  • 50 Nm³/h Seawater/Wastewater-to-Hydrogen System: Innovative development of electrolysis hydrogen production technology suitable for direct coupling of seawater/wastewater, which can achieve high-efficiency and high tolerance electrolysis hydrogen production capacity under different water qualities, and all indicators have reached the leading level in China.
