Kagurabachi (Original Author: Takeru Hokazono), currently serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump, has surpassed a cumulative circulation of 4 million copies.
A stellar team of creators has been assembled for the project. Production will be handled by CyberAgent group company animation studio, Cypic (Umamusume: Cinderella Gray, The Summer Hikaru Died), the anime boasts an all-star staff, including Director Tetsuya Takeuchi (Action Animation Director on Sword Art Online II, Battle Scene Storyboards/Episode Director/Animation Director on Heavenly Delusion) and Character Designer Keigo Sasaki (Blue Exorcist, The Seven Deadly Sins). Q. What are your impressions of the character you voice, and what did you keep in mind while voicing them?
To me, Shiba is the kind of guy who’s carefree on the surface, but deep down, has a solid core and real strength.
I worked with the staff to make sure my performance wasn’t overdoing it, and instead focused on bringing out the effortless confidence of someone who is genuinely powerful.
I still threw in a few quirky touches here and there, though! I hope they help make Shiba a breath of fresh air for the audience.
Above all, I hope you can really feel how much he cares about the Rokuhiras, both father and son!
It’s a really tough role to play (lol), but it’s incredibly fun!!

Q. How did you feel when you were cast, and what are your thoughts on the anime?
I first read Kagurabachi when the first volume of the manga was released, and I knew right then that if it ever got an anime adaptation, I absolutely wanted to be a part of it. Now that my dream has come true, I couldn’t be happier. I’m so excited to see what kind of anime it turns out to be.

Q. What were your thoughts when you first read the manga?
Both the characters and the story are so gritty and cool! It felt like watching a movie. What struck me the most when reading the manga, though, was how beautifully the goldfish were depicted. I can’t wait to see how they are brought to life in the anime.

Q. What is Shiba’s greatest charm?
His elusive, hard-to-pin-down vibe is just really cool. His demeanor—or rather, his way of life—acts as a perfect cushion for such a gritty story. I really feel he’s an essential character in this tale of revenge.

Q. How would you describe the appeal of the series in one phrase?

Laos Restores Higher Fuel Excise Taxes as Emergency Relief Measures End

On 24 June, Laos reinstated higher excise taxes on fuel, restoring regular gasoline tax from 15 percent to 25 percent and increasing diesel tax from 0 percent to 5 percent, according to a notice issued by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.

The adjustment marks a return toward normal fuel taxation after emergency tax cuts introduced in March to curb soaring fuel prices and ease inflation caused by global oil market volatility.

Following the tax increase, retail fuel prices in Vientiane Capital were revised on 25 June. Regular gasoline now costs LAK 30,690 (USD 1.38) per litre, diesel LAK 24,560 (USD 1.11), and premium gasoline LAK 35,840 (USD 1.62).

The ministry also announced that premium gasoline will now be priced separately from regular gasoline based on its own Cost, Insurance and Freight (CIF) value, the cost of importing fuel before taxes and other charges. Customs duties and excise taxes will be applied in accordance with existing laws, while the fuel marker fee remains temporarily suspended.

March emergency measures

The latest move follows emergency measures introduced on 17 March, when the government cut excise tax on regular gasoline from 25 percent to 15 percent and reduced diesel tax from 10 percent to zero to contain rising transport and living costs.

Meanwhile, premium gasoline was subject to the same import duty, excise tax, and CIF-based pricing as regular gasoline, while the marker fee, a small charge used to identify and monitor imported fuel, was also temporarily suspended.

A separate notice issued on 18 March also allowed temporary flexibility in fuel taxation, permitting excise rates of up to 31 percent for gasoline and 21 percent for diesel depending on market conditions.

Those temporary measures were scheduled to remain in place until 30 June, with authorities indicating they would gradually restore normal tax rates if global oil prices stabilized.

The government has also directed relevant agencies to pursue longer-term energy reforms, including securing more reliable fuel imports, reviewing fuel pricing structures, promoting electric vehicles, and reducing fuel consumption through remote work and digital services.

The tax adjustment comes as Laos continues efforts to strengthen fuel security following supply disruptions earlier this year that highlighted the country’s dependence on imported petroleum.

In June, Laos signed a fuel supply agreement with Thailand’s state-backed PTT Group to secure more stable cross-border petroleum supplies. Thailand currently accounts for around 92 percent of Laos’ refined fuel imports. The agreement followed the March Strait of Hormuz crisis, when Thailand temporarily restricted most fuel exports to safeguard domestic reserves while maintaining limited shipments to Laos and Myanmar.

Laos has also explored diversifying its fuel sources.

In May, Russia said it was considering its first-ever petroleum exports to Laos via Vietnamese ports, while the government continues promoting electric vehicle adoption, reviewing fuel subsidies, and expanding regional energy cooperation.

ITC Validates Again Voltage Energy’s Right to Supply Trunk Bus Solutions to U.S. Market

This critical ruling allows Voltage Energy to continue serving domestic customers, including solar developers and EPCs, by ensuring uninterrupted access to its trunk bus solutions for projects nationwide. It also rejects Shoals’ efforts to exclude Voltage Energy’s trunk bus solutions from the market and stifle competition. 

“Today’s decision is a victory for Voltage Energy and reinforces fair competition and reliable access to innovative energy solutions for the domestic solar industry and its customers,” said Li Wang, CEO of Voltage Energy. “Voltage Energy independently developed its trunk bus solutions and will continue to innovate. The solar industry depends on open and fair competition, not efforts to eliminate competitors through litigation and unfair business practices.”

This latest ruling follows a series of favorable outcomes for Voltage Energy in related proceedings. Last January, the ITC found no violation and terminated Shoals’ first ITC investigation, which Shoals had initiated in May 2023 and in which it wrongly accused Voltage Energy’s products of infringing three patents. During that first ITC case, Shoals sought new patents, which were issued in June 2024 and were later asserted in Shoals’ second ITC case and district court complaint against Voltage Energy in January 2025.

Following a recent bench trial, the district court found that Shoals violated an agreement prohibiting its ITC counsel’s involvement in obtaining those new patents.

Voltage Energy appreciates the court’s validation of those concerns, as well as the Court’s recognition that Shoals should not unfairly benefit from that violation, which accelerated Shoals obtaining those patents.  Voltage Energy stands behind its trunk bus solutions, which were independently developed before Shoals obtained the asserted patents, and will continue to defend its innovations, including its latest LYNX PLUS solution, which the ITC confirmed does not infringe the 375/376 patents.

A coalition of global supply chain partners, including China State Railway Group, ICBC, China Telecom, SINOMACH, COSCO Shipping, Huafeng Meteorological Media Group, Cargill, Louis Dreyfus Company, CP Group, Syngenta, and McDonald’s China, led by COFCO, released a Joint Initiative on Building a Secure and Resilient Global Agriculture and Food Supply Chain. The initiative calls on all stakeholders to share supply chain best practices, strengthen risk resilience, accelerate the adoption of new technologies across the agricultural value chain, and support agricultural modernization, digital transformation and sustainable development.

AI was one of the section’s key themes. Beidahuang Group presented a compliance-focused agricultural AI model, supported by autonomous farm machinery and a five-dimensional farmland monitoring network. SINOMACH exhibited its portfolio of intelligent agricultural equipment and an AI-powered farming operations platform. Inner Mongolia Jishuo Technology made the global debut of its AI consultation system for livestock, with proprietary sensors enabling long-term animal health monitoring.

Leading Chinese and international food companies presented the full farm-to-table ecosystem. CP Group showcased its Agriculture 4.0 integrated supply chain model. McDonald’s China and Yum China highlighted regenerative agriculture partnerships and autonomous logistics solutions capable of supporting temperature-controlled delivery requirements. Syngenta released a practical handbook on regenerative agriculture practices in China. Yili, Feihe, and Junlebao showcased dairy traceability systems and proprietary breeding technologies, while regional exhibition delegations from Qinghai and Tianjin featured highland organic farming products and specialty consumer foods.

The section also featured more cross-border services. Agricultural Bank of China made its debut at the expo and showcased smart agriculture-related solutions. Optimize Integration Group demonstrated how AI can help reduce customs clearance times for agricultural products. International warehousing providers and sustainable soybean certification organizations also participated in the section.

Bringing together multinational firms, leading Chinese agribusinesses, regional industrial clusters, and technology innovators, the section showcased developments in agricultural modernization and digital transformation across the sector. Digital innovation enables more precise and efficient farming, and cross‑border cooperation is enhancing the resilience and sustainability of the global agri-food supply chain.

EPLive 2026 included 1,600 of the world’s top cardiac electrophysiology experts

AUSTIN, Texas, June 26, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — The Texas Cardiac Arrhythmia Institute (TCAI) at St. David’s Medical Center hosted its eighth international symposium on complex arrhythmias on May 28-29, 2026. This year’s event hosted a record 1,600 participants from around the globe, including attendees from Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Colombia and Italy. Of those participants, 200 attended in person.

EPLive participants included physicians, advanced practice registered nurses and allied health professionals with an interest in treating complex cardiac arrhythmias, a condition in which the heart beats with an irregular or abnormal rhythm. The primary teaching tool was live cases with expert commentary broadcast from the state-of-the-art Electrophysiology Center at St. David’s Medical Center.

“The record number of participants at EPLive 2026 is a reflection of the growing demand for practical, case-based education and collaboration,” Andrea Natale, M.D., F.H.R.S., F.A.C.C., F.E.S.C., cardiac electrophysiologist and executive medical director of TCAI and EPLive course director, said. “By sharing knowledge, innovation and experience in that setting, we help accelerate advancements in cardiovascular care and improve outcomes for the millions of people worldwide living with heart arrhythmias.”

Live cases performed during the two-day event highlighted new technologies and techniques pioneered by physicians at TCAI. Among the technologies featured was a more streamlined approach that combined two treatments—atrial fibrillation (A Fib) ablation and left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO)—into a single procedure for patients with A Fib who are at a higher risk of stroke, reducing the need for multiple procedures and minimizing complications. Physicians also showcased the latest innovations with pulsed field ablation, a non-thermal ablation that delivers short-duration, high-energy electrical pulses to the cardiac tissue to destroy cells that cause irregular heart rhythms without excess heat or cold.

EPLive featured four sessions, consisting of a combination of live and recorded cases from TCAI, in addition to some of the premier centers in countries across the globe: Colombia (International Arrhythmia Center at Cardioinfantil Foundation), Italy (Centro Cardiologico Monzino) and United States (Cleveland Clinic; Houston Methodist; Kansas City Heart Rhythm Institute; Massachusetts General; Montefiore Einstein; St. Bernard’s Heart and Vascular Center; UC Health Center; University of Pennsylvania).

Along with Dr. Natale, EPLive featured presentations by several TCAI physicians, including course co-director Amin Al-Ahmad, M.D., as well as John Allison, M.D., Khaled Awad, M.D., Mohamed Bassiouny, M.D., David Burkhardt, M.D., David Burkland, M.D., Robert Canby, M.D., Joseph Gallinghouse, M.D., Rodney Horton, M.D., Patrick Hranitzky, M.D., and Jason Zagrodzky, M.D.
