Two Lao Nationals Arrested in Thailand for Trafficking “Happy Water”

Thai authorities have arrested two Lao nationals after seizing approximately 6.5 kilograms of the synthetic drug known as “Happy Water,” which traffickers had cleverly disguised in consumer packaging to evade detection.

On 4 March, police raided a suspected narcotics storage site in Bangkok after intelligence sources informed them that operators were using the location as a distribution hub, selling drugs primarily to young people via online platforms.

Officers identified the suspects as Vilay, 19, and Payat, 26, a Lao couple. Police discovered 50 packets of powdered “Happy Water”, concealed within everyday product packaging: 19 pink-orange “Collagen” packets, 30 black “Southern Coffee” packets, and one additional loose packet.

The suspects had designed the disguise to mimic dietary supplements and instant coffee, helping them avoid suspicion during transport and distribution.

Happy Water is a dangerous synthetic cocktail that dealers typically mix with methamphetamine, ketamine, and caffeine. Users commonly dissolve it into drinks in nightlife settings, where it produces short-term euphoria but carries severe health risks, including death.

Investigators also discovered that both suspects had overstayed their permitted time in Thailand, their visas having expired on 27 February.

Officers took the pair into custody along with the seized narcotics and transferred them to Khok Khram Police Station for formal legal proceedings.

Thai authorities confirmed that investigators are continuing their work to identify additional individuals linked to the drug distribution network.

Celebrating Women’s Role in the Evolving Financial Sector

PORT VILA, Vanuatu, March 10, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — The global financial market is expanding rapidly, with more women entering and building long-term careers in traditionally complex and high-pressure industries like CFDs. Today, women in the financial sector are contributing to the reshaping of the standards of stability, success, and self-worth.

Vantage: Celebrating Women's Role in the Evolving Financial Sector
Vantage: Celebrating Women’s Role in the Evolving Financial Sector

In celebration of International Women’s Day, Vantage launches “Her Vision,” a special interview series honoring outstanding female partners and experts in the financial market. This series explores the discipline, adaptability, and sustainable thinking behind their professional journeys, highlighting how women are positively impacting the financial sector.

Spotlight on Minh Anh and Cao Hang: Leadership Beyond Revenue

Minh Anh, a Vantage IB partner, entered the financial sector by chance but has gradually shaped it into a serious, long-term career. Initially drawn by curiosity, her experience in finance revealed that it required strategic clarity and disciplined risk management, aligning with her strengths. Over time, she realized that success in finance is not just about trading; it’s about building trust, emotional control, and a structured approach to investment.

Minh Anh notes that the role of an Introducing Broker (IB) is often misunderstood. It’s not just about referring clients; it involves creating strategies, providing training, and fostering a disciplined trading community. Her focus is on sustainable growth, helping clients develop steady, informed trading habits based on risk awareness.

Similarly, Cao Hang’s journey into the financial sector highlights the broader scope of leadership. What began as an accidental entry into finance soon evolved into a purposeful career focused on long-term strategies and leadership. Cao Hang believes that true success in finance is not just about revenue, but about guiding others, building trust, and managing risk effectively. Leadership, she shares, is about helping the community grow and develop sustainable financial habits, not simply chasing short-term gains.

Minh Anh and Cao Hang’s stories reflect how women in finance are redefining independence—not only in financial terms but also in emotional discipline and leadership in their communities. They balance personal and professional lives, showcasing how women are contributing to both personal growth and community development, thus shaping a broader definition of success.

Vantage’s Role in Shaping the Future of Women in Finance

Through “Her Vision,” Vantage continues to spotlight professionals like Minh Anh and Cao Hang, who are turning risk into strategy and opportunity into sustainable, long-term value. These stories are a tribute to the evolving role of women in finance, not only highlighting their achievements but also sparking a broader conversation about how women are shaping the future of the industry.

Global Woman in Dealmaking Report 2026: Ansarada Compiles Leading Global Female Voices For M&A Outlook

The report features 20 in-depth interviews with the world’s leading women in dealmaking across investment banking, private equity, corporate finance and law, spanning APAC, EMEA, and the Americas.

SYDNEY, March 10, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Ansarada, a global leader in virtual data room (VDR) technology and procurement solutions, has launched its latest M&A Outlook Report, the 2026 Global Women in Dealmaking M&A Outlook Report, showcasing expert views from 20 leading women in dealmaking from around the globe.

Justin Smith, Managing Director at Ansarada, said, “The global M&A dealmaking market is once again enjoying sustained momentum, with a new generation of women owning their seats at the dealmaking table.”

Insights from the report reveal a global M&A landscape that is increasingly accepting of ongoing geopolitical and macroeconomic uncertainty as a reality of the operating environment itself, rather than a temporary condition.

With US deal volumes reaching record levels in the latter half of 2025, these influential female leaders expect that momentum to flow through to Australia and other markets in 2026, as volatility becomes a constant that no longer hampers decision-making,” Smith said.

The featured dealmakers shared notably optimistic views on AI’s role in dealmaking. Rather than viewing AI as a disruptor, many described it as a liberator, freeing up time for areas where their skills provide the most value: strategic thinking, negotiation and sound judgement.

Key takeaways from the report include:

  • Market sentiment shifts from ‘wait and see’ to adaptation
    • Despite ongoing geopolitical and macroeconomic challenges, there is cautious optimism in the market, with a sharpened focus on high-quality, resilient assets. Investors are adopting an increasingly pragmatic approach, accepting that ongoing uncertainty is simply the new normal.
  • AI is elevating the premium on human judgment
    • Dealmakers increasingly view AI not as a threat but as a levelling force that automates grunt work, liberating professionals rather than replacing them. This shift is freeing up time to redirect towards high-value activities that require deeper expertise.
  • Engines of growth: energy, digital, demographics and healthcare
    • Deal flow is coalescing around four primary megatrends: energy transition, digital infrastructure, changing demographics, and healthcare. Regional opportunities are emerging across these themes, including renewable energy and data centres in the ANZ region, and healthcare expansion in Africa via new hospital programs.
  • New capital pools and investment models are emerging
    • Niche investment trends are burgeoning across the market, such as search funds in the ANZ mid-market that are providing succession solutions. At the same time, corporate carve-outs are creating new opportunities as businesses look to streamline operations by divesting non-core divisions.
  • Gender diversity as a strategic performance driver
    • The diversity narrative has evolved meaningfully, shifting from a compliance-based moral imperative to a commercial strategy with a clear focus on performance outcomes. Gender balanced teams are increasingly recognised as better equipped to navigate grey areas and the emotional nuances inherent in high-stakes negotiations.

BARCELONA, SPAIN – Media OutReach Newswire – 10 March 2026 – On March 2, 2026, the “2026 Global WLAN Industry Forum,” hosted by the World WLAN Application Alliance (WAA), was held in Barcelona, Spain. Under the theme “AI-WLAN: Envisioning a New Premium Intelligent WLAN Ecosystem,” the forum brought together over a hundred technical experts, operators, equipment manufacturers, and representatives from international organizations from around the world to discuss the integrated development path of AI and WLAN.

Currently, the deep integration of AI and WLAN has become a global trend in the development of the short-range communication industry. As the world’s first international industry organization dedicated on WLAN application experience, WAA proposed the goal of building a “Global Hub for AI-WLAN Technical Exchange and Standardization.” During the forum, WAA, jointly with international organizations, operators, and leading equipment enterprises, released the “International Cooperation Initiatives on AI-WLAN Standardization” and signed memorandums of understanding with the World Broadband Association (WBBA) and the Global Intelligent Internet of Things Consortium (GIIC), laying a solid foundation for breaking down standards barriers and advancing technical collaboration.

ZHANG Ping, President of the WAA, stated that building a new intelligent ecosystem with AI-WLAN is the shared vision of the industry. GAN Bin, Vice President of Huawei, mentioned that AI transforms wireless local area networks from “passive response” to “active prediction,” better meeting the differentiated needs of various industries.

During the keynote session, representatives from international standards organizations and industry leaders such as IEEE, ITU-T, ISO/IEC, SAMENA, WBA, China Mobile, Huawei, H3C, and Qualcomm engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as technological evolution, standard harmonization, and scenario-based implementation. The panel discussion focused on AI-WLAN applications and standardization innovation, consolidating industry consensus.

As a professionally significant and internationally oriented industry event, the hosting of the 2026 Global WLAN Industry Forum not only established a core platform for global WLAN industry collaboration and exchange but also strengthened international consensus on the integrated development of AI and WLAN, reinforcing the foundation for global industry cooperation. WAA will leverage this forum as an opportunity to continuously deepen the two-way integration of AI and WLAN, further enhance international cooperation, and continue to play its role as a “coordinator” and “promoter.” It will persistently build bridges for global industry collaboration, deepen international technical exchanges and standard cooperation, and promote the benefits of high-quality WLAN experiences for users worldwide, collectively writing a new chapter in the development of the AI-WLAN intelligent network ecosystem.

Gear Up for Spring: VEVOR’s Top Yard Tools Make Spring Cleanup a Breeze

HOUSTON, March 10, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — As winter finally fades, yards across much of the U.S. are slowly coming back to life. In northern and Midwestern states, melting snow often reveals piles of leaves, overgrown shrubs, and lawns blanketed with dead grass. For many homeowners, spring yard work quickly turns into a major cleanup challenge.

Yard maintenance usually involves three main tasks: clearing hard surfaces, removing thatch from lawns, and trimming hedges and shrubs. This spring, VEVOR is highlighting three products designed to tackle each of these chores—from patios and driveways to lawns and vertical greenery—each earning high praise from users.

Hard Surface Cleanup: Push Lawn Sweeper, Five Times Faster for Driveways

The first challenge of spring yard work often comes from patios, sidewalks, and driveways. Traditional brooms require tedious back-and-forth sweeping, often leaving debris behind in cracks, while dust clouds can affect family and pets.

The VEVOR walk-behindhand-push floor sweeper tackles this problem head-on. With manual operation, it sweeps up to five times faster than a traditional broom. Its 25.6-inch wide brush covers large areas in a single pass, and the 5-gallon collection container minimizes trips to empty debris. Adjustable handles and foldable design make storage simple and convenient.

“This has been one of my favorite purchases,” commented Joe, a VEVOR user, “It picks up both large debris and fine dust in a single pass, saving hours of work. It’s durable, easy to empty, and even my 78-year-old father loves using it!”

Let the Lawn “Breathe”: Push Lawn Sweeper Collects About 80% of Thatch

Once hard surfaces are cleared, the real heart of yard work begins—the lawn. After winter, lawns are often covered with a layer of dead grass and leaves (thatch). Too much thatch can block new growth and create a breeding ground for pests and disease.

The VEVOR push lawn sweeper features four thick, densely packed rotating brushes that collect roughly 80% of surface debris in a single pass, with a 26-inch sweeping width. Its 7-cubic-foot collection bag reduces frequent emptying, and the brush height adjusts without tools to handle different lawn conditions. With its efficiency and ease of use, the sweeper helps lawns truly “breathe,” creating the perfect environment for new spring growth.

Homeowner Carrie shares:

“I used it to clean one acre of lawn, and it took only a quarter of the time compared to raking. No fuel, no engine to worry about breaking down. Assembly was easy too—highly recommended.”

Vertical Trimming: 52CC Multi-Function Trimmer Handles Hedges and High Branches

After clearing the ground and the lawn, hedges and shrubs become the yard’s focal point. After a winter of growth, these plants need proper trimming to restore a neat, structured look.

The VEVOR 52CC 6-in-1 multi-function trimmer features a two-stroke engine, a 270° rotating head, and an extendable shaft to reach high branches without climbing. By switching attachments, it can function as a hedge trimmer, grass trimmer, brush cutter, chainsaw, and more—covering everything from hedge shaping to cutting small tree branches. Its multi-function design boosts efficiency while restoring a clean, polished look to the yard’s vertical spaces.

User Jeni says:

“This trimmer handles almost everything we need in the yard—thinning fence lines, cutting small trees, trimming weeds. It’s heavy-duty, easy to switch attachments, and highly recommended.”

VEVOR: Pro-Level Performance Without the Pro-Level Price

From hard surface cleanup to lawn dethatching to hedge and branch trimming, VEVOR’s three spring promotion tools cover the full spectrum of yard maintenance, making each task easier and more manageable for homeowners.

“Maintaining a yard in spring doesn’t have to be a struggle,” says VEVOR Brand Director Gavin Wu. “Our goal is to give families tools that make yard work efficient, effortless, and even enjoyable. With professional-level performance at a price everyone can afford, we hope to help more households welcome spring with clean, healthy yards—and a sense of pride in their outdoor space.”

Explore VEVOR’s full range of spring tools today and turn yard work into a faster, easier, and more satisfying weekend project.
