ARK Wealth Black and Diamond Client Summit: Enhancing Wealth Allocation Strategies for a New Era

HONG KONG, Jan. 17, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Noah Holdings Limited’s (“Noah” or “the Company”) (NYSE: NOAH, HKEX: 6686) newly launched global wealth management platform for global Chinese investors, ARK Wealth Management, held its latest Black and Diamond Client Summit Series event in Hong Kong on January 13-15, 2025: ARK Hong Kong New Year Special Summit.

When the macroeconomic landscape shifts drastically, it becomes increasingly important to strategically adjust asset allocation. Noah’s Black and Diamond Client Summit Series has been held for fifteen consecutive years, establishing itself as the Company’s premier annual event and key platform for client engagement offering deep insights into macroeconomic trends and forward-looking asset allocation strategies.

Noah recently launched a comprehensive upgrade of its internationally focused brands: ARK Wealth Management, Olive Asset Management, and Glory Family Heritage. This initiative aims to provide exceptional wealth management, asset allocation, and comprehensive service solutions for high-net-worth Chinese clients worldwide. ARK Wealth Management will continue this tradition of hosting this flagship annual event.

Over 20 industry leaders were in attendance at the Summit, including experts in global macroeconomics, digital assets, asset allocation, and wealth inheritance. They engaged in discussion on pressing topics such as global macroeconomic trends, digital asset investment strategies, and asset allocation in the new era. Additionally, attendees were given a preview of the deep insights on wealth management outlined in Noah’s 2025 CIO Report.

During remarks given at the Summit, Zander Yin, Co-founder and CEO of Noah Holdings, stated, “Wealth management has entered a new cycle. Looking back at the evolution of wealth management in China since 2000, we can clearly see the transition from a non-standardized product-oriented 1.0 era to the standardized 2.0 era. Influenced by shifts in the global economic landscape, we are now officially entering the 3.0 era of global asset allocation.”

“Investors should focus on markets with a positive beta, taking into consideration the various asset classes available and their performance metrics. It is also essential to adopt a bottom-line mindset to establish a secure foundation and fundamental support.”

Mr. Yin further emphasized, “As changes in the economic cycle reshape the wealth distribution landscape, investors must enhance their understanding to seize structural opportunities created by emerging trends such as AI while managing risk. Financial institutions should also move away from traditional thinking and adopt a holistic approach to client accounts, enhancing engagement and truly prioritizing client needs to improve asset allocation capabilities.”

Macroeconomic Trends: Navigating the New Global Landscape

At the Summit, Michele Wucker, author of The Gray Rhino: How to Recognize and Act on the Obvious Dangers We Ignore, gave a keynote speech where she shared her outlook for 2025 and emphasized the urgent need for proactive risk management in the face of significant global challenges. She highlighted that while many view crises as threats, they can also present opportunities for innovation and investment. She encouraged attendees to embrace creative destruction. Wucker pointed out critical issues such as climate change, geopolitical tensions, and the implications of AI on job markets. She urged businesses to recognize these challenges as catalysts for change and innovation rather than obstacles. The speech concluded with a call for investors to adopt a long-term perspective, focusing on diversification and strategic responses to navigate the complexities of the current economic landscape effectively.

During a panel discussion on global macroeconomic trends in 2025, panellists addressed the pressing issues of climate change, investment strategies, and the implications of U.S. policy shifts under the new Trump administration. Panellists highlighted the urgent need for global action to reduce emissions and adapt to climate impacts, emphasizing that both governments and individuals share responsibility. They discussed the challenges faced by insurance companies in covering natural disaster claims and stressed the importance of resilience measures for future protection. Investment strategies were also a focal point, with each speaker recommending diversification across asset classes and geographic regions to navigate uncertainties. The panel concluded by exploring opportunities in AI and digital assets, advocating for a thoughtful approach to investment in these rapidly evolving sectors. Overall, the discussion underscored the need for proactive measures in both environmental stewardship and financial planning to effectively address future challenges.

Opportunities in the New Era: AI and Digital Assets in a Global Macroeconomic Context

The Summit underscored the importance of prioritizing long-term investments while balancing short-term opportunities through thorough research on market demand, technological trends, and policy support. Evaluating a company’s financial health, management team, and market competitiveness is vital for maximizing investment returns.

AI has emerged as a key sector for future growth. Drawing parallels with past technological shifts, AI is poised to create a new class of tech giants and significant investment opportunities. Investing in U.S. index funds related to AI offers investors a way to benefit from growth and technological progress. Furthermore, data centers are critical infrastructure for the ongoing development of AI. Demand for these facilities is expected to triple over the next four to five years, creating investment opportunities within supporting infrastructure sectors.

As traditional financial systems and the global trading order transform, digital assets are growing in importance as their regulatory frameworks gradually becoming clearer. In 2025, digital assets are expected to enter two new cycles: one driven by new policies from the incoming Trump administration, and the other emerging from advancements in AI which will merge to create new opportunities. With the support from both new policies and technological developments, digital assets are anticipated to perform well over the next decade, becoming a crucial sector for future asset allocation.

In line with these trends, Noah has consistently invested in technology over the past few years. The Company is leveraging AI to enhance operational efficiency and service clients at the highest standards. Going forward, Noah will continue optimizing service quality and content while strengthening its product matrix to deliver high-quality personalized wealth management services that support sustainable growth and wealth inheritance for global high-net-worth Chinese clients.

Cognizant Study Shows Consumers Who Embrace AI Could Drive $4.4 Trillion in Spending Over Five Years

Joint study between Cognizant and Oxford Economics predicts AI will drive 46% of consumer transactions in the U.S. by 2030, underscoring the business need to leverage AI to reimagine customer experiences

TEANECK, N.J., Jan. 17, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Today Cognizant (NASDAQ: CTSH), in collaboration with Oxford Economics, unveiled new insights into how artificial intelligence (AI) is set to revolutionize the consumer purchasing journey by 2030 and drive significant economic impact. The study, New Minds, New Markets, shows that as income and purchasing power increases among 18 to 44-year-old AI enthusiasts, this demographic will command an estimated $4.4 trillion of AI-influenced consumer spending in the U.S. by 2030. In the U.K., this spending projection is estimated at $690 billion, in Australia it’s at $669 billion, and in Germany it’s at $539 billion.

The study also predicts that U.S. consumers who embrace AI could drive nearly half (46%) of spending by 2030. In Australia, this projection rises to 55% over the same period. In Germany it’s estimated at 46% and in the U.K., it’s at 39%.

“As AI-influenced buying evolves, businesses must navigate mixed consumer attitudes towards AI,” said Ravi Kumar S., CEO of Cognizant. “Enterprises are balancing the demand for convenience with the need for control and trust. Understanding these attitudes is crucial for developing AI solutions that not only enhance convenience but build confidence in the full potential of how AI can reimagine the customer experience and unlock tremendous value.”

To inform the study’s findings, Cognizant and Oxford Economics examined historic patterns of consumer technology adoption across a range of demographics and grouped them into cohorts based on behavioral dynamics. It then aligned these cohorts with data from a survey of 8,400 respondents focusing on their openness to using AI in the buying experience. With 75% of all respondents noting they have frustration with the buying process today, the study found the transformative potential of AI will reshape the purchasing journey in three pivotal phases in the years to come: Learn (when consumers learn about new products), Buy (when consumers make a purchase), and Use (when consumers are in the process of using a product):

  • Consumers are most comfortable using AI in the discovery phase of making a purchase decision (the Learn phase). Across all consumer age groups, 47% cite they are comfortable using AI to help choose products and services. In this phase, AI-powered search tools, personalized recommendations and virtual assistants can be essential tools in the discovery and evaluation stages of consumer journeys. Technology companies are already building these capabilities into their consumer-facing toolsets, making it easier for consumers to use AI to gather information and shortlist options.
  • During the decision-making phase (the Buy phase), consumers harbor more hesitation. In this phase, consumers share concerns around security and trust when it comes to using AI. The study showed 75% of consumers are unlikely to allow AI to automatically reorder or pay for high value items without their direct authorization. Additionally, only 16% of those who are 55 years and older are comfortable using AI during this phase (and only 33% are comfortable among the 18–44-year-old group).
  • Comfort levels begin to rebound in the post-sale engagement phase (the Use phase). In this phase, consumers benefit from AI’s ability to help them tap into time savings and targeted services that add value to their after-purchase experience. Across all consumers, nearly a third (28%) said they are comfortable with AI reordering low-priced items. For example, smart HVAC systems could intelligently reorder air filters from the manufacturer directly, reducing the onus on consumers to identify the need for replacements themselves or reliance on local retailers to deliver supplies in a timely manner.

Capitalizing on the AI-augmented opportunity

This study underscores the work Cognizant is doing to help business leaders across industries adapt to AI-empowered consumers, particularly as AI agents begin to power more consumer purchasing experiences, orchestrating complex tasks across the buying journey. The estimated economic impact of this evolution is significant — as AI adoption continues to grow, Cognizant and Oxford Economics’ New Work New World study predicts AI could inject $1 trillion into the U.S. economy by 2032.

Cognizant is helping businesses adjust to new rules of engagement that integrate AI into familiar environments and supporting work to enhance convenience, ensure secure interoperability, and build trust through human involvement.

To further support the acceleration of enterprise AI adoption, Cognizant launched Cognizant Moment™, the next evolution of the company’s digital experience practice area, designed to help clients leverage the power of AI to reimagine customer experience and engineer innovative strategies aimed at driving growth. Now, as the ways consumers interact with technology are shifting, Cognizant aims to give clients the tools and insights they need to drive differentiation, cultivate customer loyalty and become future-ready.

Also critical to helping the acceleration of AI adoption is Cognizant’s Synapse program, a global upskilling initiative designed to revolutionize and rebalance the landscape of tech education and workforce development by redefining opportunities for more than one million individuals worldwide.

Methodology:

In mid-2024, Cognizant and Oxford Economics devised a multi-modal study to examine how AI will change consumer behaviors and, therefore, the customer purchase journey. The study included both a qualitative and a quantitative component: a survey of 8,400 adults across the UK, US, Australia and Germany, and 80 in-depth interviews with consumers in the same regions. Silks Place Tainan Presents “A Sustainable Future: SDGs Table” – A Culinary Journey Toward Ecological Harmony

TAINAN, Jan. 17, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Silks Place Tainan, part of Silks Hotel Group known for managing Regent Taipei, is thrilled to share the success of its “A Sustainable Future: SDGs Table” dining experience. Held five times in 2024, this unique event welcomed over 300 guests and combined delicious cuisine with a meaningful focus on sustainability, taking diners on a journey inspired by the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Robin's at Silks Place Tainan, managed by Silks Hotel Group, presented the 'A Sustainable Future SDGs Table,' blending sustainability and culinary excellence into a memorable dining experience.
Robin’s at Silks Place Tainan, managed by Silks Hotel Group, presented the ‘A Sustainable Future SDGs Table,’ blending sustainability and culinary excellence into a memorable dining experience.

The event highlighted the harmonious relationship between nature and human sustenance, a connection that’s deeply rooted in island culture, where mountains, land, sea, and ecosystems all work together in harmony. Guests enjoyed a full sensory experience, tasting the true meaning of “wellness” through an eight-course menu made with local and native ingredients, all crafted with sustainability in mind.

Collaborating for a Sustainable Future
The centerpiece of “A Sustainable Future: SDGs Table” was the collaboration between two renowned Taiwanese chefs: Alex Peng of AKAME, a native-cuisine restaurant in Wutai Township, Pingtung, and Nick Yang of Sinasera 24, a French-inspired fine dining restaurant in Changbin, Taitung. Together, they blended traditional wood-fire cooking with seasonal, locally-sourced ingredients to create a unique dining experience that paid tribute to the principles of ecological sustainability. AKAME, meaning “grill” in the Rukai tribal language, and Sinasera, meaning “earth” in the Amis tribal language, brought indigenous culinary techniques to life, elevating the transformative power of food to support a sustainability.

The event showcased fresh ingredients from trusted local partners like Happyspoonbill, Jacana and Chestnut from Guantian, Sheng Feng Bee Farm, and the Guardians of Jacana in Kaohsiung. These ingredients, ranging from green bamboo shoots and water caltrops to bonito and wild jelly fig, were thoughtfully sourced from farmers, fishers, and agricultural cooperatives committed to eco-friendly practices that protect biodiversity and preserve natural habitats.

A Model for Ecological Co-Existence
A prime example of this is Happy Food, a pioneering agricultural initiative that bridges seasoned farmers and the next generation of agriculturalists. By revitalizing abandoned farmland using natural and non-toxic farming methods, Happy Food addresses the challenges of rural aging and land degradation. This approach allows older farmers to retire with a steady income while giving younger farmers the chance to revitalize the countryside.

The Guardians of Jacana, another notable partner, have transformed Taiwan’s native aquatic plants, such as water snowflakes, into an economic crop. Not only does this preserve the island’s rich biodiversity, but it also creates a protected habitat for the rare Jacana bird, highlighting the power of sustainable farming in preserving both local ecosystems and endangered species.

Beyond Dining: A Holistic Experience
The “A Sustainable Future: SDGs Table” experience was about more than just food—it brought together art, culture, and sustainability in every detail. Silks Place Tainan’s award-winning sommelier, Carols Chen, elevated the evening with expert wine pairings that celebrated local creativity. One standout was the Vino Formosa Rosso, crafted by Chien-Hao Chen, Taiwan’s first French-certified winemaker, who spent 14 years perfecting techniques to thrive in Taiwan’s humid climate.

Guests also enjoyed specially crafted cocktails by Yi-Hsiang Huang, founder of Asia’s 50 Best Bars Bar T.C.R.C., and Nono Yu, founder of The Han-Jia Pairing Dinner. Adding to the ambiance, a curated soundtrack by Golden Melody Award-winning singer-songwriter Ming-Yu Hsieh told the story of the ingredients, making the experience even more immersive.

In a creative and eco-friendly touch, the menu was designed by Half-Goatee Pop-up Book Lab and renowned paper artist Shi-Yi Yang. Made from recycled diapers, it was a powerful reminder of how rethinking and innovating can shape a sustainable future.

A Call to Action for a Better Tomorrow
Silks Place Tainan sees “A Sustainable Future: SDGs Table” as more than just a dining experience—it’s a call to action. The event inspired guests to make thoughtful choices, showing how food can nourish both people and the planet. By championing sustainable farming, eco-friendly cooking, and the values of collaboration and care for our world, Silks Place Tainan is proud to stand behind a greener, more sustainable future.

SHANGHAI, Jan. 17, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — IMPACT Therapeutics (“IMPACT”), a biopharmaceutical company focusing on the discovery and development of targeted anti-cancer therapeutics based on synthetic lethality, is pleased to announce that Senaparib Capsules (派舒宁®)has received marketing authorization in China from National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) as monotherapy for the maintenance treatment of adult patients with advanced epithelial (FIGO Stages III and IV) high-grade ovarian, fallopian tube or primary peritoneal cancer who are in response (complete or partial) following completion of first-line platinum-based chemotherapy.

Senaparib, discovered and developed by IMPACT, is a potent and novel PARP 1/2 inhibitor. Its distinctive molecular structure provides it with high in vitro and in vivo activity, exceptional target selectivity and wide safety window. The approval is based on FLAMES Study. The study is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, multicenter, phase III clinical study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Senaparib as monotherapy for the maintenance treatment of patients with advanced ovarian cancer who had completed first-line chemotherapy and achieved either a complete response (CR) or partial response (PR). The results of FLAMES Study showed that Senaparib demonstrated significant improvement in median PFS compared to placebo (PFS not reached vs 13.6 months, HR 0.43, P < 0.0001), irrespective of BRCA status. Senaparib demonstrated a tolerable safety profile, with no noticeable safety issues. [1]The results also indicated that both HRD positive and HRD negative populations derived benefit from Senaparib maintenance therapy, highlighting the potential of Senaparib for broad clinical application. The results of this study will strongly support Senaparib as the Standard of Care for first-line maintenance therapy in patients with newly diagnosed ovarian cancer.

The top-line results of the study were initially presented as a late breaking oral presentation at ESMO in 2023 and presented at CSCO 2024. On May 15, 2024, the internationally renowned medical journal Nature Medicine also published the results titled “Senaparib as first-line maintenance therapy in advanced ovarian cancer: a randomized phase 3 trial.”[1]

Ovarian cancer is one of the most common lethal female reproductive malignancies. According to GLOBOCAN 2020 data, the global incidence of ovarian cancer is amounted to 310,000 cases and mortality is amounted to 210,000. According to the latest national cancer statistics released by National Cancer Center in 2024, there were 61,100 new cases of ovarian cancer and 32,600 deaths in China in 2022, making it the most lethal gynecological tumor. Due to the insidious and non-specific early symptoms of ovarian cancer, about 80% of patients are already in advanced stage when they are diagnosed, and the 5-year survival rate is only 41.8%. [2]Although ovarian cancer may be resolved after initial platinum-containing chemotherapy, most patients inevitably face recurrence, and there remains a significant unmet clinical need for treatment in the ovarian cancer patient population.

In recent years, PARP inhibitors are changing the therapeutic landscape of ovarian cancer, with maintenance therapy extending the duration of sustained remission after platinum-containing chemotherapy and delaying disease recurrence.

In December 2023, IMPACT entered into a collaboration agreement with Zhongmei Huadong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of Huadong Medicine Co., Ltd (SZ.000963) (collectively, “Huadong Medicine“) for the commercialization of Senaparib. Under the collaboration agreement, Huadong Medicine receives exclusive promotion rights of Senaparib in mainland China. Huadong Medicine is deeply involved in the field of gynecological oncology. Senaparib and Huadong Medicine’s approved mirvetuximab soravtansine-gynx (ELAHERE®) can provide solutions for ovarian cancer patients with different stages of the disease, sharing expert networks, research and clinical resources, promoting and developing together to form an effective and highly synergistic relationship.

Dr. Sui Xiong Cai, Chief Executive Officer of IMPACT said:

“It is our great pleasure to share with you the successful approval of Senaparib for the Chinese market, which is another strong proof of the excellence of IMPACT’s in-house synthetic lethality R&D platform and the R&D execution team.

Leveraging Huadong Medicine’s extensive commercial experiences in promoting novel therapeutics, we hope that Senaparib will reach more ovarian cancer patients soon and bring new treatment options for first-line maintenance therapy in advanced ovarian cancer.”
