AIA Alta Club, an exclusive membership programme for high-net-worth customers by AIA Hong Kong, announced the launch of the Brain Health Programme, featuring a world-first AI-driven retinal imaging health management solution, which makes AIA Hong Kong the first insurer in the market to offer this innovative, proven screening experience.

The Brain Health Programme provides a non-invasive and highly accurate solution for early detection of cognitive conditions, effectively enabling early identification and proactive prevention of cognitive decline. More than a screening service, the programme provides personalised coaching and tailor-made, science-backed wellness plans targeting cognitive health based on each member’s evaluation. Each member receives customised guidance that is not just preventive, but transformative.

Dementia leads to the loss of daily self‑care ability and is among the top three retirement concerns,1 with care reaching around HK$200,000 annually.2 In Hong Kong, one in three people aged over 85 lives with significant impairment.3

By positioning cognitive health as one of the core pillars of healthspan, AIA Alta Club empowers its members to take charge of their wellbeing and enjoy longer, more fulfilling lives. The programme pioneers the world’s first AI-powered retinal imaging technology for brain health, a non-invasive retinal scan with up to 92% accuracy. The technology was developed by i-Cognitio Sciences, a research-based company originating from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), and launched through the collaboration of AIA Hong Kong and Humansa. This makes AIA Hong Kong the first insurer in Hong Kong to offer such an innovative and reliable screening experience.

Ms Alice Liang, Chief Proposition & Healthcare Officer of AIA Hong Kong & Macau, said: “Cognitive decline often begins years before symptoms appear. More than 70% of AIA Alta Club members, who are aged 40 years and above,4 see protecting brain health as a priority. Meanwhile, research shows that up to 45% of dementia cases can be prevented or delayed.5 Once the condition is detected, the programme can provide members with personalised, science-based care and coaching based on the results.”

Ms Liang added: “At AIA Alta Club, we believe longevity is about quality as much as quantity, adding life to years, not just years to life. The Brain Health Programme brings this vision to life by making cognitive health a central pillar of healthspan. By being the first insurer in Hong Kong to offer the world’s first AI-powered retinal scan for cognitive health, we are setting a new industry benchmark by integrating health, wealth and lifestyle into a truly holistic ecosystem. In addition to protecting brain health, we empower our customers to embrace genuine wellbeing and enjoy Healthier, Longer, Better Lives.”

Brain Health Programme: Combining Technology with Care

The programme combines advanced AI diagnostics with personalised support:

  • i-Cog Retinal Imaging Scan – World’s first AI-powered retinal scan for brain health
  • Montreal Cognitive Assessment 5-minute Protocol (MoCA-5) Test – A five-minute test to quickly assess memory, attention, and thinking skills
  • Comprehensive Brain Health Assessment to identify risk factors that influence brain ageing

The programme also includes wellness coaching and anti-ageing supplements that support antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and detox functions. Each service comes with prevention strategies and medical guidance. AIA Alta Club members can redeem complimentary sessions.

Since its establishment in 2023, AIA Alta Club has been renowned for its bespoke privileges and diverse services for members to find their optimal balance of wealth and wellness. It provides science-based, personalised healthcare services and health management solutions. Through Infinite Health Programmes, launched in 2024, AIA Alta Club adopts a proactive and preventive approach, using early detection, precise measurements, and continuous monitoring to optimise physical functions, mental health, and metabolic performance.

Mantle and Aave Cross $1 Billion in Total Market Size in Under Three Weeks, as DeFi TVL Hits All-Time High

Dual milestones signal Mantle’s emergence as the fastest-growing DeFi distribution layer

DUBAI, UAE, March 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Following a record-breaking launch of $800 million on Friday, Mantle has reached two significant milestones simultaneously: the Mantle x Aave lending and borrowing market has surpassed $1 billion in total market size just 19 days after launch, while Mantle’s broader DeFi TVL has climbed to an all-time high of $755M+, representing 66% growth in seven days.

Mantle and Aave Cross $1 Billion in Total Market Size in Under Three Weeks, as DeFi TVL Hits All-Time High
Mantle and Aave Cross $1 Billion in Total Market Size in Under Three Weeks, as DeFi TVL Hits All-Time High

The $1 billion threshold was breached following a record weekend that saw over $200 million in organic inflows, underscoring sustained demand even as broader market conditions remain volatile.

A Catalyst for the Entire Ecosystem

The Aave integration has proven to be more than a standalone product launch. Its “MoMNTum” has catalysed liquidity across Mantle’s broader DeFi ecosystem, with TVL surging from $455M to $755M+ in a single week. The growth reflects deepening confidence in Mantle’s infrastructure as a high-performance, capital-efficient environment for both institutional and retail participants.

Mantle’s DeFi TVL milestone positions it among the fastest-growing L2 networks as the premier distribution layer by capital inflows in 2026, a trajectory driven by a combination of strong ecosystem partnerships, native yield products, and an active incentive program that continues to reward liquidity providers and early adopters.

Active Incentives and the Path to Deeper Liquidity

The incentive program underpinning the Aave integration remains fully active, offering compelling yield opportunities for users participating in lending and borrowing on Mantle. With the $1 billion milestone now achieved, the program is designed to sustain and deepen liquidity as the ecosystem continues to scale.

“Crossing $1 billion in total market size in under three weeks is a clear signal and not just of what Mantle and Aave have built together, but of where institutional and retail DeFi is heading. Mantle was built to be the distribution layer where real-world finance flows, and these milestones are proof that the ecosystem is delivering on that vision. The MoMNTum is real, and we’ve barely even started.” said Emily Bao, Key Advisor, Mantle.

With Mantle and Aave coming together dedicated to maturing the DeFi landscape by aligning legacy-level safety with decentralized efficiency, users can visit the Aave interface to participate and begin lending and borrowing while benefiting from the ecosystem’s ongoing incentive program.

About Mantle

Mantle positions itself as the premier distribution layer and gateway for institutions and TradFi to connect with on-chain liquidity and access real-world assets, powering how real-world finance flows.

With over $4B+ in community-owned assets, Mantle combines credibility, liquidity and scalability with institutional-grade infrastructure to support large-scale adoption. The ecosystem is anchored by $MNT within Bybit, and built out through core ecosystem projects like mETH, fBTC, MI4 and more. This is complemented by Mantle Network’s partnerships with leading issuers and protocols such as Ethena USDe, Ondo USDY, and OP-Succinct.

TCL Showcases TCL NXTPAPER 70 Pro at MWC 2026, Bringing Holistic All-Day Eye Comfort to Modern Mobile Life

BARCELONA, Spain, March 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — At MWC 2026, TCL presents the TCL NXTPAPER 70 Pro, delivering all-day eye comfort across real-world scenarios. Central to this experience is the innovative NXTPAPER Key, which allows users to seamlessly switch between display modes, ensuring optimal viewing for every situation. It also remains a fully capable daily smartphone with AI-powered capabilities, a 50MP OIS camera system, and reliable all-day performance. Guided by TCL’s “Make Technology More Human” commitment, TCL continues to advance and expand NXTPAPER display innovation to help users move more fluidly between work, study, communication, and creative expression, as a response to a growing human need for more comfortable, less fatiguing digital life.

TCL NXTPAPER 70 Pro
TCL NXTPAPER 70 Pro

Comfortable Smartphone Viewing Experience in Every Scenario

At the center of the experience is NXTPAPER 4.0, TCL’s integrated hardware-and-software approach to eye comfort. Supported by internationally recognised certifications, including SGS and TÜV, the TCL NXTPAPER 70 Pro reflects TCL’s long-term commitment to making digital viewing feel calmer and more comfortable across the full day. It brings together seven core eye-care technologies: natural light display, zero flickering, blue light purification, reflection-free and anti-glare viewing, dim-light eye protection, circadian screen comfort, and TruePaper Restoration technology.

In bright, unpredictable outdoor conditions and on the go, glare and reflections often make screens harder to read. The TCL NXTPAPER 70 Pro delivers reflection-free, anti-glare viewing based on advanced nano-matrix lithography, paired with adaptive software to help keep content consistently readable. A natural light display powered by Circular Polarized Light (CPL) further supports clear, comfortable viewing in real-world lighting.

Indoors, longer sessions over time can lead to digital eye fatigue, whether users are browsing, streaming, or working through long content. NXTPAPER 4.0 supports extended use through blue light purification and a flicker-free viewing experience. Harmful blue light can be reduced to as low as 3.41%, while the display delivers rich, vibrant visuals with professional-grade colour accuracy (ΔE<1). With the help of Eye Care Assistant, the experience is designed to feel more balanced and easier to stay with throughout the day.

At night, reading, messaging, or unwinding calls for a display that feels gentler rather than stimulating. The TCL NXTPAPER 70 Pro combines dim-light eye protection and circadian screen comfort, with DC dimming that helps keep viewing flicker-free. Brightness and tone adjust smoothly for evening use, down to an ultra-low 1-nit minimum, so bedtime scrolling and pre-sleep reading feel less jarring and more in tune with nighttime routines.

Smooth Mode-Switching Through NXTPAPER Key

Comfort is not only about easier viewing. It is also about how smoothly the phone adapts to what you are doing throughout the day. With the dedicated NXTPAPER Key, users can switch between three display modes: Color Paper Mode, Ink Paper Mode and Max Ink Mode. This makes it easy to match the right look and feel to each moment. For deeper focus, Max Ink Mode can be activated instantly. Max Ink Mode offers a calmer, paper-like monochrome look designed for immersive reading and distraction-free time on screen. It supports up to seven days of reading and up to 26 days on standby, and it comes with access to a bookstore and a massive library of pre-installed books. Reading is further supported by AI-enhanced tools such as AI Outline, AI Q&A, AI Audiobook and AI Podcast, helping users digest content in the way that best fits their routine.

For writing and note-taking, the TCL NXTPAPER 70 Pro supports quick capture with the T-Pen stylus, enabling a natural handwriting experience with low latency and pressure sensitivity. Features like Screen Off Memo and Write in Text Fields help users jot down ideas anytime, then move on without breaking their flow.

Capture and Create with Ease

The TCL NXTPAPER 70 Pro features a 50MP main camera with OIS, paired with an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 32MP front camera for everyday scenes from night portrait to fast-moving moments and daily vlogs.

Powered by TCL-developed MuseFilm imaging technology, the device brings more expressive, cinematic looks to photos and video. Super Night Mode helps reveal clearer detail and perfect balance between brightness and shadow in low-light scenes, while cinematic 4K video adds a more immersive finish for everyday storytelling. Upgraded motion capture combines OIS and EIS dual stabilization with horizon lock for steadier shots. CCD-style filters deliver s a film-inspired look for a nostalgic, creative touch. Built-in editing tools keep everyday adjustments simple, so more moments feel ready to share with less effort.

AI Integration: Translation and Everyday Assistance

As communication increasingly crosses borders and languages, the TCL NXTPAPER 70 Pro integrates AI tools designed for multilingual communication, productivity and creation. For multilingual work and cross-language content, built-in AI translation tools provide real-time subtitles, simultaneous interpretion and face-to-face translation, helping conversations, videos and on-screen text stay easier to follow without breaking the flow. Users can also pair the experience with optional TCL CrystalClip earbuds for clearer, more immersive audio.

With Gemini, users can ask by voice with Gemini Live to get clear explanations, and instant answers without leaving the current page. When they want to explore further, they can circle or select key information on the screen to deep dive into what they see instead of constantly switching between apps.

Beyond translation, AI-powered reading and writing tools support voice memo transcription and summarization, text comprehension and writing assistance, helping users move more efficiently from capturing a thought to producing a polished piece.

Reliable Performance for Everyday Mobile Life

Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300, the TCL NXTPAPER 70 Pro delivers smooth performance for everyday tasks and multitasking. With 8GB of RAM expandable up to 24GB through RAM Expansion (8GB + 16GB), and up to 512GB of storage, the device is built for content-heavy, fast-moving routines. A 5200mAh battery paired with 33W fast charging supports all-day endurance, while IP68 dust and water resistance adds confidence for travel and real-world use.

At Mobile World Congress Barcelona (MWC), the world’s largest event for the telecom industry, Supermicro and its ecosystem partners are featuring the latest real-world use cases that bring together performance, efficiency, and scalability.

AI-RAN and Sovereign AI solutions
AI-RAN and Sovereign AI solutions

“Delivering AI to the RAN at scale requires infrastructure optimized for telecom networks,” said Charles Liang, president and CEO of Supermicro. “As operators embed intelligence across their networks and advance sovereign AI strategies, Supermicro’s flexible Data Center Building Block Solutions® (DCBBS) and deep ecosystem collaborations enable rapid deployment of high-performance, energy-efficient solutions that help ensure data sovereignty and long-term scalability.”

For more information about Supermicro’s Telco products please visit: https://www.supermicro.com/en/solutions/ai/telco

The adoption of AI in telecom networks is growing rapidly as operators seek greater efficiency and automation. AI-RAN embeds intelligence into the Radio Access Network to optimize spectrum, energy, and performance, while simultaneously creating a distributed network that powers AI solutions for operators and end users.

AI-RAN requires infrastructure solutions that are designed to meet the unique requirements of telecom networks in a scalable, cost-efficient way. Supermicro is expanding its broad range of AI-RAN systems, in line with NVIDIA Aerial RAN Computer (ARC) design, to support the latest technologies including NVIDIA Blackwell architecture, with upcoming products using the latest NVIDIA ARC-Pro.

  • ARS-111L-FR is a short-depth, 1U system designed for distributed RAN workloads. The high-speed chip-to-chip bandwidth together with support for NVIDIA BlueField® data processing units (DPUs) and ConnectX Ethernet adapters makes NVIDIA Grace Hopper a powerful and versatile system for research as well as AI inferencing at the network edge.

Sovereign AI refers to an enterprise’s ability to develop, deploy, and govern artificial intelligence within its own controlled infrastructure, data environments, and compliance frameworks. Increased demand for sovereign AI platforms represents a strategic opportunity for telecom operators, by offering secure, in-country AI infrastructure as a service, and unlocking new revenue streams in the digital economy.

Delivering sovereign AI at scale requires infrastructure that is powerful, scalable, and energy efficient. Supermicro’s innovative DCBBS are designed to enable organizations to rapidly deploy and expand AI data centers. Modular architectures simplify scaling, while advanced thermal and power designs improve operational efficiency.

At MWC, Supermicro is collaborating with leading industry players to demonstrate real-world deployments and practical use cases that advance AI acceleration.

Designed for enterprises, startups, and public sector organizations, it provides NVIDIA GPU-accelerated infrastructure entirely within Norway, ensuring data never leaves national borders. By combining security, scalability, and sustainability, Telenor AI Factory lowers barriers to AI adoption, shortens time-to-market, and supports sensitive data compliance. This positions Telenor not just as a telecom operator, but as a strategic provider of sovereign AI services.
  • SK Telecom, South Korea’s leading telecom provider, has built the Haein Cluster, a sovereign AI infrastructure platform designed for large-scale AI workloads and national competitiveness. The cluster features over 1,000 Supermicro AI servers equipped with NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs, forming one of the country’s highest-performance AI GPU clusters. Additionally, Nokia is introducing a validated infrastructure design for hybrid AI/ML training and inference based on Supermicro AS -8125GS-TNMR2 servers.
  • Viettel High Tech, Vietnam’s top 5G network infrastructure solution provider, has built a large 5G network based on Open RAN standards. The adoption of open, disaggregated infrastructure has enabled Viettel High Tech to speed up the implementation of new technologies and applications, in addition to delivering substantial cost savings. One of the systems used in Viettel High Tech ‘s infrastructure is the Supermicro short depth 1U edge server. These systems provide flexibility, performance, and innovation, ensuring optimal support for 5G and advanced wireless networks.

Iran Conflict Disrupts Airspace, Southeast Asian Flights Continue

Middle East escalation disrupts airspace, Thailand prepares evacuations, Southeast Asian airlines continue operations, while Laos issues no official statement.

A sudden military escalation in the Middle East erupted over the weekend, triggering immediate airspace closures over Iran and parts of the Gulf, while governments across the region began preparing evacuation plans. Despite the escalation, most Southeast Asian airlines continue to operate normally.

Explosions struck Tehran in the early hours of 28 February after the United States and Israel launched coordinated strikes on Iranian military and nuclear-related facilities.

By Sunday morning, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei had been confirmed dead following the strikes, marking a dramatic turning point in the conflict.

Iran responded with missile and drone attacks targeting Israel and US facilities across several countries in the region. In response to the widening confrontation, multiple Middle Eastern states closed or restricted their airspace, disrupting major aviation corridors linking Europe and Asia.

Southeast Asian Flights Continue

Despite the turmoil, several Southeast Asian carriers report limited impact on their European routes.

Vietnam Airlines confirmed its flights to Europe continue to operate as scheduled, as the carrier does not route through Israeli or Iranian airspace. Other Vietnamese airlines, including Vietjet Air and Bamboo Airways, do not operate European services and have reported no disruption.

Thai Airways also stated that its European flights remain largely unaffected. The airline has rerouted certain services to avoid conflict zones, adding marginal flight time, but operations continue.

The main disruption in Southeast Asia has come through Middle Eastern carriers.

Qatar Airways temporarily suspended flights between Vietnam and Doha from 28 February to 2 March, while Emirates halted services to and from Dubai. Vietnamese authorities reported thousands of passengers affected by cancellations and delays.

Thailand Prepares, Laos Yet to Comment

Thailand faces a more immediate challenge on the ground.

The Thai Labour Ministry confirmed that approximately 7,700 Thai nationals are registered in Iran. However, according to the Thai Embassy in Tehran, only 29 have requested immediate repatriation.

The ministry estimates there are around 110,000 Thai nationals across the Middle East, including 65,000 in Israel, over 20,000 in the United Arab Emirates, and smaller communities in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Egypt, Oman, Kuwait, Jordan, Iraq, Iran, Yemen, Lebanon, and Syria.

Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul placed authorities on maximum readiness, with the Royal Thai Air Force preparing aircraft for possible evacuation missions. Thailand’s Foreign Ministry has advised its citizens in Iran to remain calm, stay indoors, and maintain contact with embassy and consular hotlines.

In contrast, Laos has not issued an official public statement as of 2 March regarding its nationals in Iran.

There is no publicly available data on the number of Lao citizens residing in the country. International migration statistics suggest the Lao community in Iran is small, likely numbering fewer than 1,000 people.

Without a resident embassy in Tehran, Lao nationals may need to rely on third-country diplomatic missions or overland exit routes should the situation deteriorate.

Meanwhile, Vietnam’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that Vietnamese nationals in Iran and Israel remain safe. Hanoi has advised its citizens to avoid travel to affected areas and to stay in close contact with representative missions.

Regional Impact

The conflict has forced airspace closures across parts of Iran, Iraq, Israel, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates, affecting some of the world’s busiest aviation corridors between Europe and Asia.

For now, Southeast Asian national carriers continue to operate with minimal disruption. However, governments across the region remain on alert as the conflict unfolds and evacuation contingencies remain in place.
