Notice of the Annual General Meeting of shareholders 2026 of Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson

STOCKHOLM, Feb. 24, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — The shareholders of Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC) (reg. no 556016-0680) (the “Company” or “Ericsson“) are invited to participate in the Annual General Meeting of shareholders (“AGM“) to be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at 2:00 PM CEST at the Company’s premises: Open Box, Grönlandsgatan 8, Kista/Stockholm. Registration for the AGM starts at 1:00 PM CEST. Shareholders may also exercise their voting rights by post before the AGM.

The AGM will be conducted in Swedish and simultaneously translated into English.

Registration and notice of participation

A) Participation at the meeting venue

Shareholders who wish to attend the meeting venue in person or by proxy must:

  • be recorded as a shareholder in the presentation of the share register prepared by Euroclear Sweden AB, as of Monday, March 23, 2026; and   
  • give notice of participation to the Company no later than Wednesday, March 25, 2026               
    • by telephone +46 (0)8 402 90 54 on weekdays between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM CET;
    • by post to Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson, AGM, c/o Euroclear Sweden AB, Box 191, SE-101 23 Stockholm, Sweden;
    • by e-mail to GeneralMeetingService@euroclear.com; or
    • via Ericsson’s website www.ericsson.com/en/agm.

When giving notice of participation, please include name, date of birth or registration number, address, telephone number and number of participating assistants, if any.

Proxy
If the shareholder is represented by proxy, a written and dated power of attorney signed by the shareholder must be issued for the representative. A power of attorney issued by a legal entity must be accompanied by the entity’s certificate of registration (or a corresponding document of authority). In order to facilitate registration at the AGM, the power of attorney, certificate of registration and other documents of authority should be sent to the Company at the address above, in connection with the notice of participation. Forms of power of attorney in Swedish and English are available on Ericsson’s website, www.ericsson.com/en/agm.

B) Participation by postal voting

Shareholders who wish to participate in the AGM by postal voting must:

  • be recorded as a shareholder in the presentation of the share register prepared by Euroclear Sweden AB, as of Monday, March 23, 2026; and
  • give notice of participation by casting its postal vote in accordance with the instructions below, so that the postal voting form is received by Euroclear Sweden AB no later than Wednesday, March 25, 2026.

A special form must be used for postal voting. The form is available on Ericsson’s website www.ericsson.com/en/agm. The completed and signed postal voting form may be sent by post to Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson, AGM, c/o Euroclear Sweden AB, Box 191, SE-101 23 Stockholm, Sweden, or by e-mail to GeneralMeetingService@euroclear.com. Shareholders may also submit their postal votes electronically by verification with BankID via Ericsson’s website, www.ericsson.com/en/agm. The completed form must be received by the Company/Euroclear Sweden AB no later than Wednesday, March 25, 2026.

The shareholder may not provide special instructions or conditions in the postal voting form. If such instructions or conditions are included, the postal vote (in its entirety) is invalid. Further instructions and conditions are included in the form for postal voting.

If the shareholder submits its postal vote by proxy, a written and dated power of attorney signed by the shareholder must be attached to the postal voting form. If the shareholder is a legal entity, the entity’s certificate of registration (or a corresponding document of authority) must be attached to the form. Forms of power of attorney in Swedish and English are available on Ericsson’s website, www.ericsson.com/en/agm.

A shareholder who has voted by post may also attend the meeting venue, provided that the notification has been made in accordance with the instructions under the heading Registration and notice of participation – A) Participating at the meeting venue above.

Shares registered in the name of a nominee
In order to be entitled to participate in the AGM, a shareholder whose shares are registered in the name of a nominee must, in addition to giving notice of participation in the AGM, register its shares in its own name so that the shareholder is listed in the presentation of the share register of the Company as of Monday, March 23, 2026. Such re-registration may be temporary (so-called voting rights registration), and request for such voting rights registration shall be made to the nominee, in accordance with the nominee’s procedures, at such a time in advance as required by the nominee.

Voting rights registrations that have been made by the nominee on or before Wednesday, March 25, 2026 will be considered in the presentation of the share register.

Supreme Court Blocks Trump Tariffs, 15 Percent Levy Keeps Pressure on Laos

A landmark US Supreme Court ruling has reshaped Washington’s trade policy, but for small economies like Laos, the relief may prove temporary.

On 20 February, the United States Supreme Court struck down the legal foundation underpinning most of Trump’s sweeping tariff regime. 

But within days, the President had found a workaround. 

The tariffs, it seems, are here to stay. At least for now.

In a 6-3 decision, the Supreme Court invalidated all tariffs imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act,  the executive authority Trump had used since 2025 to impose steep, country-specific “reciprocal” duties on imports from around the world. 

The ruling was a major rebuke of presidential trade power, with the court finding the administration had overreached.

Trump responded calling the decision “deeply disappointing” and accusing the justices of lacking “the courage to do what’s right for our country.”

Enter the 15 Percent Flat Tariff

Within 24 hours of the ruling, Trump invoked a different legal tool, Section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974, to impose a new 10 percent tariff on all US imports. 

By 21 February, he had raised that figure to 15 percent, announcing the increase via Truth Social and warning that more levies would follow.

The emergency measure can remain in place for up to 150 days, buying the administration time to craft new country-specific duties.

What it Means for Laos

While the tariffs are evolving, 

Few countries felt the original tariff regime more sharply than Laos, at least on paper.

In April last year, Washington imposed a 48 percent tariff on Lao imports, later reduced to 40 percent. The rate placed Laos among the most heavily taxed exporters to the United States, despite its small share of global trade.

The Supreme Court ruling technically nullifies that 40 percent rate, replacing it, for now, with the new 15 percent flat tariff. 

That shift offers short-term breathing room for Lao exporters. But the relief may not last.

Meanwhile, the country has also faced scrutiny over its solar panel sector. 

US trade authorities have investigated claims that Chinese manufacturers relocated production to Laos to bypass earlier American tariffs, raising the possibility of additional anti-subsidy measures.

Regional Ripple Effect

Perhaps more damaging than the direct tariff hit will be the broader regional impact. 

Laos’s economy is closely linked with its neighbors, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, and China, all of which are themselves facing US tariff pressure. 

Any slowdown in regional trade, investment flows, or manufacturing output quickly affects Laos through supply chains, logistics networks, and cross-border energy trade.

Although Laos and Cambodia together account for less than one percent of total US imports, they have faced disproportionately high tariff rates. 

According to the US Trade Representative, the US imported just USD 802.8 million worth of goods from Laos in 2024, less than 0.03 percent of America’s record USD 3 trillion import total that year. Numbers that are objectively too small to materially affect America’s overall deficit.

Yet, for Southeast Asia, the coming months will test economic resilience. 

The 150-day tariff clock has begun to tick.

Teaching and assessing

Schools can teach Digital Literacy as a separate subject or embed the content within other subjects, depending on approach and timetabling. For example, schools could compare the value of thinking and working mathematically against cognitive offloading to AI.

There is no formal assessment of the curricula. Learners receive formative feedback through discussion and observation. It is vital that learners demonstrate ownership and understanding of the work that they produce, particularly where AI has been used.

Laos boosts diplomatic ties as President Thongloun Sisoulith sends congratulatory messages to leaders of Japan, Brunei Darussalam, and North Korea, promoting cooperation and mutual development.

Lao President Thongloun Sisoulith sent congratulatory messages to the heads of state of Japan, Brunei Darussalam, and North Korea over two consecutive days. The move aims to boost Vientiane’s active diplomatic engagement across the Asia-Pacific region.

Congratulating Japan on National Day

Leading the diplomatic outreach, on 23 February, Thongloun extended warm congratulations to Emperor Naruhito of Japan on the occasion of his 66th Birthday, which also marks Japan’s National Day. 

In his message, Thongloun expressed gratification at the continued strengthening of bilateral ties, noting that Lao-Japan relations were elevated to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in January 2025.

Abacus Capital Launches Fund Management Company in Vientiane

Abacus Capital Fund Management Co., Ltd. officially launched its operations on 20 February at Crowne Plaza Vientiane, marking its entry into Laos’ fund management sector.

The ceremony brought together representatives from the public and private sectors, investors, and financial stakeholders. Soulisak Thamnouvong, Deputy Governor of the Bank of the Lao PDR, and Phengsy Phengmeuang, Head of the Lao Securities Commission Office (LSCO), attended the event.

Thanom Mitpasong, Chief Executive Officer of Abacus Capital, outlined the company’s vision to support the development of Laos’ capital market and expand financing options for small and medium-sized enterprises through private equity funds focused on non-listed companies.

He said the company will prioritize transparent governance, accountability, and long-term returns for investors and the broader business community. He also thanked regulators and partners for their support.

Sokxay Somchaynuek, Chairman of Abacus Capital, described the launch as a milestone for Laos’ fund management industry.

“This launch marks an important milestone for the fund management market in the Lao PDR, creating new opportunities for growth and strengthening investor confidence. To demonstrate our commitment, Sokxay Group will co-invest in every fund established and managed by Abacus Capital.”

Phengsy Phengmeuang said fund management represents a new and promising financial instrument for Laos.

During the event, Piya Vongphit presented a case study on Norway’s Government Pension Fund Global, which saves and invests oil and gas revenues for long-term stability. Valued at approximately USD 1.6–1.8 trillion, the fund is among the world’s largest sovereign wealth funds and limits annual withdrawals to 3 percent to maintain sustainability.

Organizers said the launch signals growing momentum in Laos’ financial sector as the country works to diversify investment channels and strengthen capital market infrastructure.
