Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang will pay an official visit to Laos to attend the 28th and 29th ASEAN Summits and related meetings in Vientiane Capital.
Scheduled for Sep 8-9, the visit will be made in response to an invitation by Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith to enhance the traditional relationship and strategic cooperative partnership between the Lao PDR and PR. China.
The following is the resume of Premier Li Keqiang:
Li Keqiang, born in July 1955, is a male ethnic Han from Dingyuan, Anhui Province. He entered the workforce in March 1974 and joined the CPC in May 1976. He graduated from the School of Economics at Peking University with a major in economics, has an in-service postgraduate education, and holds the degree of Doctor of Economics.
He is currently a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, and premier of the State Council.
