Vientiane police recently arrested two men in Khamchalern village, Hadxaifong district and seized 2,523 amphetamine pills, 18 bags of methamphetamine, 189 million kip in cash, and two mobile phones, the Khuamsangob newspaper reported yesterday.
The men were named as Mr. Sern, 35, of Khamchalern village and Mr. Noukham, 29, of Xiengkhuan village, Hadxaifong district.
Mr. Sern told police he began dealing in drugs last year and bought amphetamines and methamphetamine to sell to Mr. Noukham and young people in a neighbouring village. Police seized 2,447 amphetamine pills, 18 bags of methamphetamine and 189 million kip in cash found in his possession. Meanwhile, Mr. Noukham confessed that he began dealing in 2013 and bought 10-100 amphetamine pills at a time from Mr. Sern. Police seized 76 amphetamine pills and two mobile phones in his possession.
