Local domestic airline Lao Skyway has announced it will resume certain flights this Friday.
The airline made the announcement on its Facebook page, saying flights will be available to passengers who have had two doses of Covid-19 vaccine.
The move is in line with regulations issued by the National Taskforce for Covid-19 Prevention and Control as part of the easing of lockdown measures.
The airline will begin by resuming flights to and from Houaphan, Phongsaly, Luang Namtha, and Oudomxay provinces.
According to the announcement by Lao Skyway, elderly passengers who have not been vaccinated must receive special permission from the Covid-19 Taskforce prior to travel.
Similar authorization will be required for children, pregnant women, and mothers of newborn babies to travel.
