Miss Universe Laos, Payengxa Lor, gave an interview on Las Vegas’ KSNV News 3 Today, telling host Kim Wagner about the cultural significance of winning the crown.
In an interview with News 3 Today, Ms. Payengxa told the host of her passion for Taekwondo, saying she believes it is important to maintain a healthy mind and body, as well as her charitable work.
The model and beauty queen won notoriety as the first Miss Universe of Hmong ethnicity in Laos to claim the title.
Host Kim Wagner praised Ms. Payengxa for her command of English, which is a second language for the model who arrived in Las Vegas late last week.
The Lao beauty queen said she will visit Minnesota before celebrating the new year in Las Vegas, and then heading to New Orleans for the pageant.
The 71st Miss Universe competition will be held in New Orleans, Louisiana on 14 January 2023.
