Payengxa Lor spoke in a seminar with Hmong Women Network in November last year.

Payengxa Lor, Miss Universe Laos 2022 and a Finalist in the Miss Universe pageant,  has contributed almost LAK 10 million to Hmong Women Network for under privileged Hmong women.

A 21-year-old Lor provided her first self-funded cash donation to the Hmong Women Network in order to support activities for young women in the network. According to the network’s statement on FB, it was the largest donation since the network was founded.

Ms. Payengxa stated that she intended to assist and inspire the women in the network to access education and their dreams as one of the co-founders of the Hmong Women Network.

The Hmong Women Network is an organization for Hmong women to connect, get to know, offer advice, learn, and support one another in their pursuit of empowering opportunities.

Lor made history for Laos as the first Lao woman to be a finalist in a Miss Universe pageant. She was voted to be one the top 16 women out of the 84 countries and territories selected to participate in the 71st Miss Universe Competition in New Orleans, United States held on January 14, 2023.

After she returned home from the competition, she was greeted at the Wattay International Airport by many of her followers, taking pictures with her fans and thanking them for their overwhelming support.
