LOCA, a leading player in the mobility service, is making waves with its remarkable progress in embracing electric mobility and contributing to a greener future. The company recently shared an exciting update on its EV transition journey, highlighting significant milestones achieved thus far.
With an unwavering commitment to sustainability and reducing carbon emissions, LOCA has successfully onboarded 160 EV drivers out of its 800-strong drivers base. These enthusiastic early adopters have become part of a thriving community that champions clean, green transportation solutions.
In an impressive display of dedication, LOCA’s EV fleet has covered over 600,000 kilometers, efficiently serving its valued customers across the urban area around the country. This remarkable distance underscores the reliability and efficiency of electric vehicles while leaving a smaller environmental footprint.
LOCA’s state-of-the-art EV Charging Network has played a crucial role in supporting the company’s transition. With a combined effort, these chargers have already delivered an impressive 320,000 kilowatt-hours (KWH) of clean energy to power up the growing EV fleet. By reducing reliance on traditional fossil fuels, LOCA is actively contributing to a greener grid and promoting sustainable energy practices.
“We are incredibly proud of the progress we’ve made on our EV transition journey,” says Souliyo Vongdala, Co-founder and CEO of LOCA. “Through the collective efforts of our dedicated team, loyal customers, and supportive partners, we are reshaping the future of transportation in Laos. Our mission is to create a cleaner and more sustainable mobility ecosystem for everyone.”
With the successful installation of the fast charger network, LOCA has significantly enhanced the convenience and accessibility of charging infrastructure for EV drivers nationwide. This milestone facilitates seamless travel, as EV drivers can confidently embark on longer journeys with the assurance of readily available charging stations along their routes.
“The installation of the fast charger network was a significant achievement for LOCA,” says
Mr. Vongdala. “We are thrilled to leverage Laos’ abundant renewable energy resources to drive our transition towards sustainable mobility. Through our efforts, we aim to support the economy, reduce dependence on oil imports, and make a positive impact on the environment.”
LOCA’s dedication to sustainable growth and harnessing renewable energy aligns with the
broader vision of Laos to become a greener and more environmentally conscious nation. By
reducing dependence on oil imports and promoting the use of clean energy, LOCA is
contributing to the overall sustainability and resilience of the country’s economy.
As LOCA expands its charging infrastructure and network, the company is not only empowering EV drivers but also inspiring a shift toward sustainable transportation. Through their initiatives, LOCA aims to foster a community of like-minded individuals and businesses committed to driving positive change in Laos.
