LOCA MINI Transforms Urban Mobility in Laos

This Week

LOCA MINI is transforming urban mobility in Laos with its launch of a sleek, all-electric, and highly affordable ride-hailing service. This compact vehicle is not just a new addition to LOCA’s fleet but a revolutionary step towards sustainable transportation.

Designed to meet the rising demand for eco-friendly and cost-effective travel, LOCA MINI stands out with its 200 KM range on a single charge, and a swift 20-minute recharge time that adds 150 KM.
The vehicle is 100 percent electric, boasting a range of 200KM on a single charge. And thanks to LOCA’s rapidly expanding EV Charging network—now with 30 stations across the country, including 17 in Vientiane Capital—LOCA MINI can recharge in just 20 minutes, adding an impressive 150KM to its range. Its compact size belies the spacious comfort inside, which rivals that of economy class seats on an Airbus A320, and its advanced safety features ensure a secure ride. Passengers can enjoy the added luxury of air conditioning and a PM 2.5 air filter, which keeps them comfortable and protected from pollution. With fares starting at just LAK 29,500 for short trips.

LOCA MINI not only promises affordability but also flexibility, as users can choose between it and the traditional LOCA EV TAXI via the LOCA APP.

With fares starting at just 29,500 LAK for trips within three kilometers, and LAK 7,000 per kilometer beyond that, LOCA MINI is poised to become the go-to choice for cost-conscious consumers who refuse to compromise on quality.

This launch is LOCA’s pledge to accelerate its fleet’s transition to full electric by 2025, setting a high standard for sustainable urban transportation in Laos and beyond.
