The fair, timed to coincide with the release of A-level results on 21 February 2025, provided students with essential guidance on making well-informed decisions about higher education and scholarship opportunities.

“The strong turnout at this year’s fair reflects the growing need for accessible, high-quality guidance as students prepare for the next big step in their education journey,” said Vinay Dua, Managing Director of Kariera Group Singapore. “BrightSparks continues to play a vital role in connecting students with scholarship providers and universities, equipping them with the knowledge and resources needed to make informed and impactful decisions about their future.”

Engaging Discussions and Expert Insights

At SHEF’25, students gained valuable insights into scholarship and higher education opportunities through one-on-one consultations and a series of engaging discussions. Key topics covered included selecting the right scholarships, navigating competitive applications, and aligning academic pursuits with career goals. These discussions empowered students to gain clarity on their aspirations, enabling them to make well-informed decisions about their futures.

“I wanted to learn about the internship and scholarship opportunities offered by HTX (Home Team Science and Technology Agency),” shared Zhang Hong Liang, a final-year junior college student awaiting his A-level results. “This scholarship not only allows me to contribute to protecting our community, but it also gives me the chance to innovate and help make Singapore safer. I really enjoyed the talks, as they provided in-depth information beyond brochures and offered valuable personal perspectives.”

The fair featured a diverse range of exhibitors, including prestigious universities such as University College London and Imperial College London, as well as government agencies such as Home Team Science and Technology Agency, Enterprise Singapore, SkillsFuture Singapore and Workforce Singapore, and Land Transport Authority.

Here’s what some exhibitors had to say:

“We were heartened to meet so many students who are ready to make an impact in the future of land transport. We look forward to nurturing generations of land transport professionals who will be driving the innovations in our sector!” – LTA Scholarship Team

“We were delighted to engage with the students and undergraduates at the fair through our speaker session and one-on-one interactions, sharing how they could be part of SkillsFuture Singapore and Workforce Singapore to contribute to and drive the growth of Singapore’s jobs and skills landscape.” – SSG and WSG Scholarship Team
