Samsung Provides Study Materials for Schools in Laos

Samsung Electronics Company donated computers for schools in Houaphanh province and other provinces at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs office on Friday last week.

The donation ceremony was attended by Mr. Phoxay Khaykhamphithoune, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Laos, and Mr. Lee Hyung Geun, Managing Director, Samsung Electronics in Laos and Cambodia, along with other partners and related parties.

Mr. Lee represented Lao Samsung Electronics in the donation provided under the Samsung Love & Care project, which is one of the charitable initiatives of the company. At a total value of USD 12,000, the project aims to promote education due to the company’s vision to be a part of society’s sustainable development.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will use the donated resources to provide schools in rural areas in Houaphanh and other provinces with a better learning environment.

Mr. Phoxay represented the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in receiving the learning materials and expressed his gratitude to Samsung Electronics in Laos and Cambodia for supporting quality education initiatives in the country.

He expressed his appreciation to Samsung Electronics for its innovation and advanced technology in contributing to the socio-economic development of Laos and invited Samsung to build raw materials factories to generate job opportunities and assist further in the development of Laos.
