WHY ROSEN LAW: We encourage investors to select qualified counsel with a track record of success in leadership roles. Often, firms issuing notices do not have comparable experience, resources or any meaningful peer recognition. Be wise in selecting counsel. The Rosen Law Firm represents investors throughout the globe, concentrating its practice in securities class actions and shareholder derivative litigation. Rosen Law Firm has achieved the largest ever securities class action settlement against a Chinese Company. Johnson Electric and Aegis Sortation to Showcase Warehouse Automation Innovations at MODEX 2024

New MDR technology increases throughput by 250%

VANDALIA, US – Media OutReach Newswire – 8 March 2024 – Johnson Electric, a global leader in electric motors, actuators, motion subsystems and related electro-mechanical components, will debut two warehouse automation technologies in a strategic partnership with Aegis Sortation, a leading manufacturer of sortation and conveyor solutions, at MODEX 2024 in Atlanta, March 11 to 14, in the Aegis Sortation booth (B8046).

At MODEX, Johnson Electric will launch TrueDrive™, a new approach to motorized drive roller (MDR) conveyors, capable of boosting throughput up to 250% compared to leading solutions. The company will also showcase VersaSort™, a compact steerable wheel module that allows divert functions to operate up to twice as fast in small- to medium-sized sortation systems.

TrueDrive re-imagines MDR technology from the ground up with exclusive Dynamic Zone Control™ (DZC). Instead of multi-roller zones connected by failure-prone belts, drive motors are cost-effectively integrated into individual rollers. This fresh approach enables rapid acceleration, tighter accumulation on the fly and greater energy efficiency. DZC systems also reduce maintenance and improve safety by eliminating O-rings and pneumatic infrastructure while enabling predictive maintenance capabilities.

VersaSort leverages small-motor technology in modules of four to eight rollers, each capable of rotating up to 180 degrees, which allows packages as small as 2.0″x 1.5″ to be sorted at speeds of up to 400 FPM. Individual angle control makes tighter spacing between items possible, resulting in higher throughput.

At MODEX, both technologies will be featured in a working zero-pressure accumulation and diverter table designed by Aegis Sortation.

“TrueDrive and VersaSort offer innovative new throughput and sortation capabilities that will change the way we think about warehouse automation,” said Stephen Pennington, Vice President, IPG Americas, for Johnson Electric. “We’re very excited about the partnership with Aegis Sortation and the opportunity to demonstrate both technologies as part of a fully functioning solution at MODEX.”

“These revolutionary innovations support the Aegis Sortation philosophy of ‘Driving Innovation, Transforming Business!’ They’re enabling us to build state-of-the-art modern capabilities into our products that will help the industry overcome many long-standing challenges,” said Tony Young, President and CEO, Aegis Sortation.

The strategic partnership between Johnson Electric and Aegis Sortation delivers innovation that provides higher throughput, improved uptime and greater flexibility. Johnson Electric designers and engineers will be available for on-site consultation at the Aegis Sortation booth throughout MODEX. In-person demonstrations of both technologies are available by appointment.

DHL Express’ GoGreen Plus helps over 12,000 Asia Pacific customers in sustainable logistics

  • ŸDedicated solution allows businesses to lower Scope 3 emissions, contribute to ESG targets
  • ŸMeets the needs of environmentally conscious shippers

SINGAPORE – Media OutReach Newswire – 8 March 2024 – In the span of one year, DHL Express, the world’s leading international express service provider, has registered more than 12,000 customers who have taken up the GoGreen Plus service in Asia Pacific (excluding China). This includes more than 2,800 companies who have signed a contractual agreement to use GoGreen Plus. The rest comprises customers who have opted GoGreen Plus as the shipping service through MyDHL+, the company’s online shipping and tracking platform.

DHL Express GoGreen Plus customers in Asia Pacific

Introduced in February 2023, GoGreen Plus allows customers to reduce (‘inset’) the carbon emissions associated with their international shipments using Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). Insetting through GoGreen Plus allows customers to reduce their Scope 3 emissions, the indirect greenhouse gas emissions that occur in a company’s value chain, including downstream transportation and distribution. The GoGreen Plus service is currently the only method available in the global express logistics industry that enables customers to utilize SAF to reduce emissions related to their shipments.

DHL Express GoGreen Plus Book and Claim

“We have a clear mission to achieve net-zero emissions for our logistics operations by 2050, and we want to enable our customers to join us in this journey. Although GoGreen Plus was only launched a year ago, we have observed very positive adoption rates, indicating the market was ripe for such an offering. There has been a rapid pickup rate among businesses as well as consumers,” said Ken Lee, CEO for Asia Pacific, DHL Express.

“This is aligned with a DHL survey, which found that more than one in three (38 percent) of online shippers in Asia Pacific are prepared to pay more for a greener delivery option. The high uptake of GoGreen Plus among individual shippers demonstrates a strong willingness to pay more to use SAF to decarbonize their shipments.”

SAF take-up among Asian companies on an upward trend

While companies have already committed to cutting down on their carbon footprint and running their operations sustainably, a report has shown that many companies in Asia Pacific still fall short in their Scope 3 emissions measurement effort. With GoGreen Plus, customers can tailor the amount of CO₂e they intend to reduce. This is achieved using the ‘book and claim’ approach, where DHL will pass on the environmental benefits to the customers on the GoGreen Plus service. As a result, customers can report their emissions following the Science Based Target Initiative (SBTi) philosophy.

Out of the over 2,800 companies that signed up for GoGreen Plus, over 2,000 companies have opted to reduce 30 percent carbon emissions for their time-definite international shipments through SAF. Furthermore, some have committed even high reductions, such as AFFIN Group from Malaysia, Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank from Vietnam, CHIMEI Corporation from Taiwan and SCREEN Semiconduction Solutions from Japan that have all committed to reducing their carbon emissions via SAF.

DHL Express has also observed interest in using SAF across all sectors, with the biggest uptake in Asia Pacific coming from these sectors: Consumer Retail & Fashion, Technology, Financial Institutions, and Engineering & Manufacturing.

“Among our customers, we are seeing a huge appetite for solutions that could reduce carbon emissions for their shipments. Our GoGreen Plus service is one such way, and we are pleased to see that it is positively received. In fact, our customers are not merely choosing a service; they are also championing a commitment to a greener and more responsible future,” said Yung C. Ooi, Senior Vice President for Commercial, Asia Pacific, DHL Express.

Consumers in Asia Pacific willing to invest in SAF

Climate change is a key personal concern for many individuals in Asia Pacific. A Deloitte study has shown that consumers in the region are willing to pay more for sustainable products, with 52 percent having changed their purchasing behaviors to contribute to climate protection. DHL Express’ GoGreen Plus solution allows individual shippers to easily do so by booking their shipment on the MyDHL+ platform and ticking the box marked GoGreen Plus.

Role of GoGreen Plus instrumental to achieving net-zero emissions

The GoGreen Plus service is made possible through strategic collaborations with bp and Neste to procure more than 800 million liters of SAF as well as agreement with World Energy to purchase approximately 668 million liters of SAF via sustainable aviation certificates.

This achievement demonstrates not only CEIBS’ sustained excellence and commitment to offering a world-class MBA programme, but also a resilience in the face of significant headwinds, offering us a chance to celebrate important improvements while reflecting on what we need to do better to meet the demands of modern business education.

This year’s ranking is released at a time of both opportunity and uncertainty for business schools in China. After three years in which international travel and in-person education were drastically affected by the pandemic, the ranking is reflective of and greatly affected by the challenging global environment of the past few years. However, the world’s full reopening allows us to look forward to a more promising future.

The Financial Times rankings are decided based on 21 indicators divided into three sections: Career progress, Diversity, and Research/ESG. In the latter category, we saw an incredible increase of 39 places from 75 to 36 globally in Carbon Footprint ranking, underscoring our steadfast dedication to walking the talk on ESG and increasing the sustainability of our school.

CEIBS also demonstrated both improvement and consolidation in some other important areas. The depth and quality of our alumni network was reflected in a climb of 12 places in our Alumni Network rank; the school also saw a climb 16 places from 30 to 14 in the world in Employed at 3 Months ranking, demonstrating our ability to deliver tangible career benefits to our students. This was bolstered by an increase of one place in our Career Service rank. We also entered the Top 10 in the world for Salary Percentage Increase ranking with a move from 11 to 10.

These impressive gains allowed us to maintain our leading position in the region despite setbacks in other areas that were unavoidably affected by global factors, particularly the pandemic and macro trends in the wider global economy.

While there is always room for improvement, growth, and further learning, the continued strength of our MBA programme in the face of external challenges provides grounds for optimism in our ability to climb to greater heights in the coming years and serves to justify our belief in an MBA programme that provides ‘China Depth, Global Breadth’.

Banyan Group’s Visionary Eco-Friendly Phuket Residential Community Gets First Exclusive Showcase in Singapore

The debut Singapore sales event March 16-17 for Laguna Lakelands will introduce the groundbreaking USD2bn project to Singapore Residents

SINGAPORE – Media OutReach Newswire – 8 March 2024 – A landmark new eco-friendly residential community in Phuket aimed at the international community who are looking for second homes or primary residences on the Thai island has now launched international sales, with its first exclusive showcase to be held in Singapore on March 16-17.

Banyan Group’s Visionary Eco-Friendly Phuket Residential Community Gets First Exclusive Showcase in Singapore

Developed by the Banyan Group, whose iconic Banyan Tree Resorts brand has become one of the most admired and successful Asian hospitality brands, Laguna Lakelands is located on the Central West coast of Phuket next to Asia’s biggest and most iconic integrated resort, Laguna Phuket.

Spanning no less than ten million square feet (700 rai or 276 acres) of botanical gardens, parks, rainforest, tranquil lagoons and rolling hills, Laguna Lakelands will be Phuket’s largest private residential community, and a self-contained green sanctuary designed for a new community of global citizens seeking high quality lifestyle balanced by nature. It will also have its own dedicated Country Club and chic residents’ Beach Club.

The sales event to introduce Laguna Lakelands to the Singapore market will be held at The St Regis Singapore, Diplomat room, Level 1, on March 16-17, 2024, 11am-6pm

The development comes as the Phuket real estate market is booming, fuelled by an increasing desire for families from all over the world, including Singaporeans, to enjoy a second home in Phuket, or even to relocate there.

“The launch of our new project clearly shows the paradigm shift we’re seeing from Phuket as a great place to visit, to Phuket as a great place to live, with a huge demand not only for second homes but increasingly for primary residence,” said Banyan Group founder and Executive Chairman KP Ho.

“High-quality property is still significantly cheaper in Phuket than in most of the buyer source markets like Singapore, Hong Kong or Europe, which is also an important factor,” he said.

Phuket’s strategic location within 5 or 6 hours flight of over 40% of the world’s population, its attractive year round climate and world-class international schools and hospitals are also part of its growing attraction.

Homes on offer in Phase I are remarkably affordable and include one to three bedroom Lakeview Residences, condominiums in four and seven-storey complexes with rooftop infinity pools, as well as sophisticated four-bedroom Waterfront Villas with private pools and gardens, with an average built area of 5,600 sqft.

Prices start from just THB 7m (SGD260,000).

Uniquely for Thailand, the developer also offers financing options which allow owners to purchase residences with staged payments over several years.

The first two blocks of Lakeview Residences have already been snapped up by visitors to Phuket since the recent launch.

About Laguna Lakelands
Interconnected by 15km of walkways, foot bridges and cycling trails, and with its own dedicated residents’ Beach Club and Country Club, Laguna Lakelands is designed as an enchanting natural retreat of respite and relaxation where nature is the star, in Phuket’s prestigious Bang Tao district on the Central West coast of the island.

Laguna Lakelands has 5 distinct themed residential areas, Hillside, Orchard, Forest, Lakeside and Lagoon – each with its own distinct character and charm, while all being interconnected with extensive walkways and cycling trails.

A wide range of recreational options for all ages is incorporated for a new generation prioritising health and wellness – including a community Country Club with swimming pool, sports fields and tennis courts and lots of activities for all the family.

There will be hillside adventure and woodland play zones as well as wilderness hiking and cycling trails with a dedicated mountain bike park; and even a rainforest walkway to a treetop lookout for admiring the dramatic sunsets.

The entire community is anchored by a ‘town centre’ of shops and services, lakeside dining, and there’s even a chic residents’ beach club, as well as an elevated events zone with a large terrace commanding spectacular views over the Andaman Sea.

Majestic waterscapes with a wide range of both open and intimate spaces are designed to create a lakeside lifestyle that promises a refuge of unparalleled magnificence and serenity.

The landscaping cultivates a sustainability-focused lifestyle, incorporating woodland walks through enchanting rainforests with elevated ‘lookout’ pods, organic orchards and rooftop gardens growing farm-to-table produce, a fish pond, play areas for young ones to explore, and native wildflowers in picturesque meadows — with seating areas for restful moments.

Laguna Lakelands, while a separate self-contained entity, is directly connected to Laguna Phuket, bringing the best of both worlds; an idyllic natural sanctuary with easy access to the first-class amenities and indulgences of the world class neighbouring resort.

“From exclusive beach access to world-class dining, spas, golf course, education programmes and a plethora of social events, this integrated community promises an all-encompassing lifestyle full of rich experiences, abundant wellness, and unbridled pleasure,” added Stuart Reading, Managing Director of Group Property Development at Banyan Group.
