Toku Powers Glovo’s Sales Operations Across Four European Markets

Deployment marks the go-live of an enterprise agreement announced earlier in February 2026, with plans to extend coverage across a further 18 markets.

SINGAPORE, June 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Toku, Asia Pacific’s leading AI-powered 360° customer experience platform, deployed its solution for Glovo, one of Europe’s leading on-demand platforms, supporting sales operations across Spain, Italy, Romania and Portugal. Agents across these four markets now handle partner conversations through Toku, directly within Salesforce.

Madrid, Spain. June 1, 2022. Glovo courier. A cyclist delivery man with a yellow backpack rides bike down a city street, delivering food to a customer. Urban fast food. Delivering order to client.

The go-live represents the first phase of a broader enterprise agreement between Glovo and Toku announced earlier in February 2026, which covers an initial scope of four European countries with plans to extend to a further 18 markets as the partnership progresses.

As Glovo continues to scale across diverse markets, Toku provides a unified operating layer that helps teams standardise customer-facing workflows while adapting to local, connectivity and operational requirements. By embedding contact centre capabilities directly into Salesforce, Glovo’s teams can manage calls, capture outcomes and access operational insights from a single interface, reducing manual processes and enabling more efficient collaboration across markets.

Turning Complexity into Competitive Advantage

Toku’s platform is built to absorb complexity, enabling fast-growing digital platforms to scale their customer-facing operations through a single interface.

“This deployment demonstrates the growing need for enterprises to simplify operations as they expand across increasingly complex markets,” said Thomas Laboulle, Founder & CEO of Toku Ltd. “Companies like Glovo operate across markets with distinct regulatory and customer engagement requirements. Our role is to remove that operational complexity behind the scenes, so their teams can scale more efficiently and focus on better experiences for their partners. We look forward to supporting Glovo’s continued growth.”

The Glovo partnership follows Toku’s growing presence in markets where enterprises face similar operational challenges, building on earlier deployments with PedidosYa in Latin America and a growing customer base across the Middle East. This also underscores Toku’s ability to support enterprise customers in complex, multi-market environments where fragmented infrastructure has historically constrained customer engagement solutions.

“Our partners are at the core of our business, and we are committed to handling their requests with the utmost speed and care. Integrating this new platform into Salesforce enables our team to make direct calls and log tasks automatically, significantly boosting productivity. This efficiency allows us to scale operations and resolve every issue promptly, keeping our focus squarely on providing the right support.” said Ferran Casulleras, Commercial Director at Glovo.

With these initial four markets now live and 18 more in scope, Toku and Glovo are positioned to build on this foundation as the partnership expands.

NAMAA Emerges from Stealth with 150 Facilities and a Long-Term Commitment to Middle East Food Infrastructure

Part of the wider ATOMS Group, NAMAA steps out of stealth to share the scale of its food infrastructure portfolio and outline its long-term commitment to building the systems that power F&B across the region

DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES – Media OutReach Newswire – 23 June 2026 – NAMAA, a real estate technology group that builds infrastructure to scale food delivery and production and a part of the wider ATOMS Group, has publicly introduced its Middle East food infrastructure portfolio. Since 2019, the company has quietly acquired and developed 150 facilities across the region, each designed to serve a distinct function within the food and beverage (F&B) ecosystem. With a clear sense of where the market is heading, NAMAA is now ready to share what has been built and where it is going next.

A Deliberate Approach to Foundation-Building
From the outset, NAMAA chose to focus its energy on fundamentals: understanding the regional landscape, forging meaningful partnerships, and putting physical infrastructure in place. That groundwork has since translated into a portfolio of facilities spanning Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, and Bahrain. The portfolio currently comprises three core offerings:

  • KitchenPark facilities – Ready-to-use CloudKitchens® commercial kitchens and Central Processing Units (CPUs) for F&B brands looking to scale without the capital burden of traditional premises
  • ProFood Bespoke builds — Tailored culinary infrastructure designed around specific operational requirements
  • CloudRetail – Purpose-built to close the gap between production and the end consumer
  • HungerHub – The region’s #1 chain of digital food courts
  • Picnic & Future Foods – Two new brands soon to be launched in the region

Significant and Sustained Investment
In 2025, NAMAA deployed close to $100 million across the Middle East, directed entirely towards expanding its footprint, supporting existing operators, and responding to the sustained demand it continues to see across markets. That investment is not slowing.

Dubai, in particular, has become a focal point. In 2026, NAMAA plans to invest approximately $40 million into the emirate alone, a marked increase from the $28 million committed there in 2025. It is a market NAMAA has come to regard as one of the most dynamic in the region: fast-moving, receptive to new models in food and logistics, and broadly supportive of the kind of infrastructure-led approach the company brings.

A Region at an Inflexion Point
The Middle East’s food landscape is shifting. Consumer demand is rising, supply chains are being rethought, and resilience has become a genuine priority for operators and governments alike. Against that backdrop, NAMAA sees a clear and enduring role for dedicated infrastructure not as a complement to the broader ecosystem, but as its foundation.

For NAMAA, the region is not just a deployment target. It is a long-term commitment that is built around empowering operators, supporting businesses of all sizes, and ultimately serving the communities these food systems exist to feed.

Blending Heritage and Innovation, China’s Shangcheng District Hums with Dynamic Vitality

HANGZHOU, CHINA – Media OutReach Newswire – 23 June 2026 – On June 1, the Google Cross-border E-commerce Acceleration Center announced its upcoming settlement in Shangcheng District, Hangzhou City, east China’s Zhejiang Province. This marks that Shangcheng has taken the lead in building a world-class digital hub to support local enterprises in going global. It will also serve as a powerful engine for Hangzhou-based businesses to expand into global markets, according to the information office of Shangcheng District government.

The robot barista at Xizi AI² Robotics
The robot barista at Xizi AI² Robotics

Shangcheng District is a place where time-honored cultural heritage blends perfectly with the rhythms of the modern era. Here, the profound heritage of the Southern Song imperial city, robust momentum of cutting-edge scientific and technological innovation, and vibrant international consumption thrive side by side. History converges with the future, and culture complements technology and fashion, composing a harmonious melody that spans thousands of years.

Home to the ruins of the Southern Song imperial city, Shangcheng has been the core of Hangzhou since the Sui and Tang dynasties, carrying forward the elegant Song-style culture for over 800 years. In recent years, the local government has fully advanced the initiative to inherit and promote Song-style culture. It has built an open-air museum and launched a number of cultural tourism routes themed on Song aesthetics, advancing the coordinated development of historic district preservation and urban renewal.

Qinghefang Historical and Cultural Characteristic Block still retains the architectural layout of the Ming and Qing dynasties. The timeless herbal aroma of Hu Qing Yu Tang Chinese Pharmacy and the exquisite fan craftsmanship of Wang Xing Ji have been passed down through generations. Guided by the philosophy of living heritage, the millennia-old culture has become the deepest foundation for Shangcheng’s development.

Scientific and technological innovation acts as the core driving force for Shangcheng’s high-quality development. In 2025, the district launched the construction of a Central Innovation District (CID) to unleash new productive forces. Covering an area of 122 square kilometers, the entire district has evolved from a traditional commercial center into an innovation ecosystem powered mainly by artificial intelligence.

Shangcheng has set up a ten-billion-yuan industrial fund for artificial intelligence and embodied intelligence, providing financial support for cutting-edge tech enterprises from R&D to commercialization. The district is home to more than 50,000 college graduates under the age of 35, with a total talent pool of 420,000. Its index for the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements ranks among the top tier in Zhejiang Province.

Driven by this strategy, a host of innovation platforms have flourished. Renovated from old industrial workshops, Xizi Smart Industrial Park stands as a landmark in Shangcheng’s tech landscape. It now gathers over 30 humanoid robot enterprises, and the Zhejiang Humanoid Robot Training Base was officially inaugurated here in early 2026. At the base, humanoid robots have been put into use in factories and daily scenarios, with continuous breakthroughs made in core technologies such as motion control and environmental perception.

The integration of time-honored culture and advanced technology has also given rise to booming international consumption in Shangcheng. The district is speeding up the development of an international fashion and consumption hub and empowering consumption scenarios with digital technologies, steadily striving to become the leading district for digital and smart fashion consumption.

Adjacent to West Lake, Hubin Pedestrian Street attracts 40 million visits annually and houses over 1,200 renowned domestic and international brands. Digital and smart applications have been widely introduced here to create distinctive experiences, bringing technological fun to ordinary consumption.

As one of China’s most influential garment distribution hubs, Sijiqing Fashion Street is undergoing a full transformation into an international tourist and consumption destination. Digital design and flexible manufacturing have reshaped its traditional supply chains, while original designer brands and trendy cultural venues inject youthful vitality into the area. A new international landmark featuring strong commercial appeal and unique cultural charm is taking shape.

“Rooted in history and culture, driven by scientific and technological innovation, and connected via international consumption, Shangcheng demonstrates to the world how an eastern urban district strikes a balance between preservation and innovation, enabling millennia-old heritage to write a new chapter in the contemporary era,” said an official of the district government.

On 19 June, authorities in Savannakhet province detained 161 Vietnamese nationals during a raid on an alleged illegal gambling operation at a resort in Sepon district, local media reported.

During the operation, officers discovered multiple forms of illegal gambling, including cockfighting, card games, and dice betting.

Police also seized a large amount of evidence, including 49 passports, 69 mobile phones, cash totaling more than VND 2.1 billion (approximately USD 80,000), laptops, safes, money-counting machines, CCTV server equipment, gambling tables, and playing cards.

Authorities said the suspects and seized items have been transferred to provincial officials for legal proceedings, while the resort premises have been returned to company representatives pending further investigation.

The raid is part of a broader nationwide crackdown on cybercrime, online scams, and illegal gambling operations in Laos.

On 17 June, police in Xieng Khouang province arrested 17 foreign nationals linked to an alleged scam operation in Pek district, including Japanese, Taiwanese, and Chinese suspects. Authorities also detained two additional Chinese nationals accused of illegal entry and preparing online gambling websites.

The recent enforcement actions follow a high-level meeting at the Ministry of Public Security on 17 June reviewing ongoing efforts against cybercrime networks.

According to the ministry, authorities have dismantled 20 cybercrime-related operations since 2026, detaining 2,652 suspects of 14 nationalities.

Minister of Public Security Vanthong Kongmany said authorities will continue strengthening inspections of hotels, entertainment venues, rental properties, and border checkpoints to prevent criminal networks from operating in Laos.

Blackwall Enters Vietnam: European Web Traffic Security Firm Launches Southeast Asia Expansion with 19-Year Hosting Partner HostVN

Estonian web traffic security company Blackwall announces its first publicly disclosed Southeast Asia partnership, bringing integrated traffic security to Vietnam’s digital infrastructure market through HostVN

HANOI, VIETNAM – Media OutReach Newswire – 23 June 2026 – Blackwall, a European web traffic security company, today announced a partnership with HOSTVN TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS JOINT STOCK COMPANY (HostVN), Vietnam’s established digital infrastructure provider, to launch HOSTVN Website Protection – powered by Blackwall. The partnership marks Blackwall’s first publicly announced entry into Southeast Asia.

Mr. Madan Rai (Blackwall) and Mr. Vuong Duy Nam(HostVN) sign the MOU formalising Blackwall's first publicly announced Southeast Asia partnership, bringing enterprise-grade web traffic protection to Vietnam's digital business community.
Mr. Madan Rai (Blackwall) and Mr. Vuong Duy Nam(HostVN) sign the MOU formalising Blackwall’s first publicly announced Southeast Asia partnership, bringing enterprise-grade web traffic protection to Vietnam’s digital business community.

Under the agreement, HostVN integrates Blackwall’s all-in-one traffic security platform into its hosting infrastructure, offering Vietnamese businesses integrated website protection covering L7 DDoS defence, advanced bot mitigation, web application firewall (WAF), SSL management, and content caching, delivered seamlessly by HostVN, requiring no in-house security expertise from the customer.

A New Category: Traffic Quality as a Business Problem

The partnership addresses a challenge that most Vietnamese businesses have not yet named: according to Statista Research, more than half of all web traffic today is generated by automated bots and not human visitors. The consequences extend beyond traditional security risks into hidden operational costs, skewed business intelligence, and revenue leakage.

“Vietnam is ready, and Blackwall is committing to it,” said Madan Rai, VP Sales Asia at Blackwall. “More than half the traffic hitting a website today is not a real customer. Bots and automated requests consume bandwidth, distort analytics, and drain advertising spend — silently, every day. Through HostVN, we are placing enterprise-grade traffic security directly into the infrastructure that Vietnamese businesses already rely on. This partnership anchors Blackwall’s broader expansion across Southeast Asia. We chose Vietnam as our launchpad because its digital economy is scaling rapidly, and it requires infrastructure that matches that ambition.”

HostVN: 19 Years, Six Reinventions

Founded in 2007, HostVN has served Vietnamese businesses across five successive phases of the digital economy: from web hosting to cloud infrastructure, content delivery, digital transformation services, and AI-related offerings. The Blackwall partnership represents the company’s sixth strategic evolution, adding intelligent traffic security to its infrastructure stack.

“Nineteen years ago, we started HostVN with one purpose: to give Vietnamese businesses a strong foundation on the internet,” said Duong Thanh Binh, Chairman of HostVN. “Vietnam has not stood still, and neither have we. Every phase of our growth has been driven by the same commitment – to give the businesses that trust us the infrastructure they need to thrive. Today, the threat is not just downtime. It is invisible traffic that costs money, corrupts data, and goes undetected. HOSTVN Website Protection, powered by Blackwall, is our answer and our commitment to Vietnam’s digital future.”

Technology Built for Service Providers Partners

Blackwall operates on a channel-first model. Its traffic security platform is designed to be delivered exclusively through hosting and cloud infrastructure providers. This model gives partners full control over pricing and packaging, while allowing them to retain the direct customer relationship.

The Blackwall platform operates as a reverse proxy positioned in front of customer websites. Traffic is inspected across multiple detection layers, including Layer 4 and Layer 7 signature analysis, comprehensive device fingerprinting, IP reputation scoring, and proprietary behavioural algorithms. Clean traffic is then forwarded to the origin server and malicious requests are blocked or presented controlled responses. The process is transparent to legitimate users, with no added latency.

HOSTVN Website Protection delivers this capability across four integrated components:

  • L7 DDoS Protection: application-layer attack mitigation running on HostVN’s Clean Traffic infrastructure
  • Advanced Bot Mitigation: Real-time detection and classification of humans, trusted bots, and automated traffic, including AI agents, to identify benign and malicious activity. Web Application Firewall (WAF): OWASP Top 10 aligned protection against injection attacks, cross-site scripting, and common web exploits
  • SSL Management and Content Caching: automated SSL certificate handling, encrypted delivery, and performance optimisation that reduces server load and improves page speed

Vietnam as Blackwall’s First Southeast Asia Launch Market

Vietnam’s digital economy has grown substantially over the past decade, with business online presence now standard across sectors. Alongside that growth, the volume of automated and malicious web traffic targeting Vietnamese sites has increased in proportion. HostVN, with more than 50,000 customers and established Clean Traffic infrastructure connected to major domestic carriers, offers Blackwall the operational scale and market knowledge required for an effective regional entry.

Blackwall has indicated that Vietnam is the first in a planned series of Southeast Asia partnerships, with Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand identified as subsequent target markets. The company has also announced a major Series B funding round to support its international expansion.

Availability

HOSTVN Website Protection — powered by Blackwall is available to HostVN customers effective 20 May 2026. Pricing is available through HostVN directly. Further information is available at hostvn.net and blackwall.com.

AI-driven analysis assesses application code, and prioritizes areas with highest potential to contain flaws and exploitable paths. The security harness, powered by IBM Consulting Advantage – IBM’s AI platform for delivering consulting services to clients – connects client application environments to advanced AI in a controlled, secured and governed way. Operating within the client’s environment, with read-only access to code repositories and bounded execution, it enables large-scale exposure analysis.

Delivered as a managed, enterprise-ready service, clients can begin with focused evaluations of key applications and expand to continuous monitoring to reassess risk over time as code changes and new threats emerge.

Participation in the OpenAI Daybreak Cyber Partner Program reflects IBM’s ongoing role in shaping how frontier AI is deployed across enterprise workflows. Together with OpenAI and other partners, IBM is helping define standards for safeguards including for controlled analysis to help enterprises strengthen resilience.

Project Lightwell combines an enterprise security clearinghouse with a global force of engineers to patch, validate, and manage open source code across the software supply chain. Supported by a $5 billion commitment from IBM and Red Hat, the initiative will use OpenAI’s cyber capabilities alongside other frontier AI models to help with code review and remediation.

“Attackers are already using AI to probe, exploit, and scale threats at machine speed. Defenders need the same advantage, with the security and control enterprises require,” said Mark Hughes, Global Managing Partner, Cybersecurity Services, IBM Consulting. “The OpenAI Daybreak Cyber Partner Program expands our access to a broader set of advanced AI capabilities, which we deploy within our clients’ environments to help surface the most relevant risks faster and help them act with confidence.”

“Security is central to realizing the benefits of advanced AI,” said Dane Stuckey, Chief Information Security Officer at OpenAI. “Through the OpenAI Daybreak Cyber Partner Program, we are collaborating with AI pioneers like IBM to use frontier models to accelerate defensive security workflows and support enterprises, governments, and other organizations as they identify risks, strengthen resilience, improve security, and ultimately deploy AI with the trust, controls, and compliance their environments require.”

The new application security service is available today, with further integrations planned as part of the OpenAI Daybreak Cyber Partner Program.
