The Future of DTC is Agentic: Eclicktech, Plaud.ai & Manus.im on Defining What’s Next

SINGAPORE, Sept. 1, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — AI is rewriting the growth playbook for global Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) brands. At a closed-door “AI x DTC” event hosted by Eclicktech in Singapore, leaders from Plaud.ai, Manus.im, and Twillio.com, joined by guests from Google and Shopify, convened to discuss this new AI-driven landscape.

With 2025 hailed as the “Year of Agentic AI,” Manus.im co-founder and CPO Tao Zhang shared his perspective. He believes vertical agents hold great value and future potential, but argued that their development must focus on two key issues: how to understand domain-specific data and the usage habits of existing industry tools.

Fresh off its Plaud Note Pro launch, Plaud.ai shared a practical innovation. Evan Xu, its head of user growth and monetization, explained how users can get an upfront AI experience on the Plaud’s DTC site. He thanked Eclicktech for providing crucial technical optimization and stated that the two companies will deepen their partnership in refined localization and programmatic SEO.

Riven Gao, Head of DTC at Eclicktech, noted a key strategic shift in global e-commerce. He explained that in sharp contrast to the shelf-based sales model used by platform giants like Temu and Shein, a new wave of DTC brands such as Plaud, Fufusquishy, and Custype are increasingly leveraging social networks and reviews from KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders) and KOCs (Key Opinion Consumers) to drive viral, user-led growth. As a case in point, he cited a stress-relief toy merchant served by Eclicktech that scaled its YouTube subscribers from approximately 300,000 to 9 million in just over a year.

At the event, Eclicktech introduced its Singapore-based Intelick SG AI-GTM Solution team and announced its upcoming launch of self-developed SEO AI Agent, SEOpage.ai, calling it a “true AI SEO employee.” Subsequently, the company launched its new DTC and AIO solution, featuring a holistic “build-and-optimize” strategy to help brands shift from a passive response model to a proactive, data-driven, and predictive growth model which will help increase DTC brands sales performance.

Tescan Unveils New Global Brand Platform “The Art of Discovery” with APAC Rollout at SEMICON Taiwan

KARLSRUHE, Germany, BRNO, Czech Republic and TAIPEI, Sept. 1, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Tescan Group proudly introduces its new global brand platform The Art of Discovery at this year’s Microscopy Conference (MC) in Karlsruhe, Germany. Built on the belief that beauty lies in what is yet to be discovered, it reflects Tescan’s ambition to be a trusted growth partner in science. Following its global introduction at MC 2025, the brand platform will make its Asia-Pacific debut at SEMICON Taiwan (September 8–12, 2025).

Tescan launches its new global brand identity.
Tescan launches its new global brand identity.

This rebrand signals a pivotal step in Tescan’s shift toward a more integrated model — combining advanced technology, workflow-focused solutions, expert support, and a community built on shared knowledge. This represents Tescan’s broader focus on delivering customer-centric solutions rather than simply providing technology.

New Aspiration, Approach and Drivers

“Our brand transformation captures who we are today — a company built on strong partnerships, driven by results, fueled by innovation, and committed to delivering purposeful solutions that put users first,” says Sirine Assaf, Chief Revenue Officer at Tescan. Guided by its core principles, Tescan sets a clear ambition: to empower customers and partners with tools, software, and services built for what’s next. At the heart of this transformation is a simple idea — removing the barriers between a question and its discovery. “This transformation isn’t just about technology. It reflects a continuous evolution in how we think, how we work together, and how we enable the scientific community with timely solutions to fasten their discoveries,” says Assaf.

Automation and Innovation

Building on last year’s successful introduction of multiple new instruments (including the plasma FIB-SEM Amber X 2) — Tescan continues its innovation journey across the entire portfolio. This year, the company’s primary focus is on enhancing automation throughout all its products, aiming to streamline scientists’ workflows at a time when speed and accuracy are more important than ever. Alongside its new brand platform, Tescan is also unveiling two new software solutions: AutoSection and TEM AutoPrep PRO – Inverted & Planar Lamella Automation. “Our primary goal in this area is to reduce the time from instrument purchase to when users can fully leverage its capabilities. We accomplish this through intelligent automation, deep application expertise, and close collaboration with our customers,” closes Bruno Janssens, Chief Strategy Officer at Tescan.

CEO Perspective

Jean-Charles Chen, CEO of Tescan Group, commented:
“This is much more than a cosmetic redesign. It’s a strategic repositioning that reflects the way we see how science is evolving, and how Tescan is evolving with it. We’re aligning with a new era of scientific discovery by enabling better-integrated workflows, faster time from question to insight, and a tighter connection between our technology and our users’ needs. It’s a shift from being a product-oriented company to becoming a solutions partner. This means more automation, smarter software, and a mindset rooted in customer outcomes. The new look is simply a reflection of that deeper change.”

APAC Rollout

Following an exclusive offline preview at the International Symposium on the Physical and Failure Analysis of Integrated Circuits (IPFA) in early August, Tescan will make the APAC debut of its new brand at SEMICON Taiwan (September 8–12, 2025). As part of the Semiconductor Advanced Inspection and Metrology Forum, Hervé Macé, Global Business Development Director for Semiconductors, will speak on September 12 on Development of New Workflows to Address Metrology and Failure Analysis Challenges at Macroscale, Microscale and Nanoscale.
Venue: 701F, 7F, Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Hall 2.

The Asian Century: Farewell, Nanyang

BEIJING, Sept. 1, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Beside the Burma Road, 568 kilometers away from Kunming, Yunnan Province, an unnamed “driver’s grave” stands quietly in the mountains. Over 80 years ago, more than 3,200 young overseas Chinese from Nanyang (Southeast Asia) bid farewell to their families and, singing “Farewell, Nanyang”, resolutely set out on this perilous road to support China’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression. They were the Nanyang Volunteer Mechanics. At a time of national crisis, they braved enemy bombings and disease, transporting supplies along the Burma Road—on average, one mechanic perished for every kilometer of the road.

The Asian Century: Farewell, Nanyang

This is a story of homeland, sacrifice, and peace. Today, as we stand before the “Driver’s Grave,” we can still hear the echoes of that history. Peace has never come easily, and the love and pursuit that transcend borders continue on. Decades later, the descendants of the Nanyang Volunteer Mechanics are still searching for their lost relatives…

We now issue a global call for information related to the family of Nanyang mechanic Ye Biantou (or possibly renamed), as well as any other clues about those who perished around the 568 km mark of the Burma Road.

The Asian Century is a social and cultural documentary series centered on the theme of building an Asian community with a shared future. Through authentic, multidimensional, and comprehensive storytelling, it showcases the shared historical roots, cultural bonds, and developmental aspirations of Asian nations.
