  • LOTTE rent-a-car introduces Jeju travel destinations featured in the drama that captivated global viewers
  • Enhancing convenience for international travelers by providing dedicated staff for foreign customers and multilingual support
  • Offering various services such as chauffeur-driven rental cars, welcome coupon packs, and free electric vehicle charging

SEOUL, South Korea, April 29, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — As the Netflix series ‘When Life Gives You Tangerines’ receives an enthusiastic response from global viewers, interest in Jeju Island, known as the ‘Hawaii of Korea’ and the backdrop of the drama, is increasing. With the peak travel season to Jeju from March to May, the number of foreign tourists looking to experience the unique nature of Jeju depicted in the drama is on the rise.

Jeju Island has many hidden gems that are difficult to access using public transportation alone, making rental cars essential. LOTTE rent-a-car, South Korea’s No.1 rental car brand, holds the top market share in the Korean rental car market and is the official partner of the global rental car brand Hertz, providing verified services. They offer a systematic service system and multilingual support platform for international customers.

LOTTE rent-a-car Jeju Auto House is located near Jeju International Airport. It is the largest single-location rental car facility in the country, with a fleet of 3,000 vehicles. Operating 365 days a year from 6 AM to 11 PM, it allows customers to pick up or return vehicles conveniently regardless of flight times. The proportion of foreign customers renting from LOTTE rent-a-car in Jeju is increasing every year. As of 2024, foreign customers account for 25.6% of the total customers at LOTTE rent-a-car Jeju Auto House, meaning one in four customers is a foreigner.

For international tourists planning a trip to Jeju in the first half of this year, LOTTE rent-a-car suggests a special Jeju travel course centered around the filming locations of iconic scenes from the drama. These include Gimnyeong Beach, where young Aesoon eagerly waited for her mother, and Seongsan Ilchulbong, which showcases the beautiful scenery of Jeju.

Gimnyeong Beach: A Pristine Beach Embodying the Lives of female divers

Located in eastern Jeju, Gimnyeong Beach gained attention as the setting for the lives of haenyeo(female divers) in the drama. The exotic landscape, where cobalt blue waters, white sandy beaches, and black basalt rocks harmonize, leaves visitors in awe. Not only can you experience the local haenyeo culture, but you can also enjoy various marine activities such as yachting, kayaking, and snorkeling. The walking trail along the wind turbines lined up on the eastern side of the beach and the nearby cave exploration course add a unique charm.

Seongsan Ilchulbong: A UNESCO World Heritage Site and Sunrise Spot

Seongsan Ilchulbong, where the protagonist Aesoon performs 3,000 bows in the drama, is one of Jeju’s most iconic natural landmarks. Formed by underwater volcanic activity about 5,000 years ago, its cratered terrain is notable. This site is recognized as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage due to its geological significance and is also famous for its breathtaking sunrise views over the open sea. The magnificent scenery, where the blue sea and cliffs blend, leaves a lasting impression on both drama fans and general tourists.

Ora-dong Buckwheat Field: A Healing Photo Spot with Different Faces Each Season

The buckwheat flower path where Aesoon and Gwansik shared memories in the drama was filmed in the buckwheat fields of Ora-dong, Jeju City. The vast field, equivalent to 130 soccer fields, offers different charms each season, making it an ideal photo spot, especially for wedding photos. In spring, yellow canola flowers, in summer, pure white buckwheat flowers adorn the field, and from late winter to spring, the landscape is filled with green barley and reeds. May and June are the best times to witness the most splendid scenery.

Jejumok Gwana: Where Aesoon and Gwansik Wrote Poems for the Writing Contest

Jejumok Gwana is where the writing contest in the drama took place. It was the administrative center of Jeju during the Joseon Dynasty and is a nationally designated heritage site and a representative historical and cultural tourist attraction in Jeju. Aesoon and Gwansik sat in front of Yeonhuijeong Pavilion in this Gwana to write poems. It is also the place where the middle-aged Aesoon wrote a poem longing for her mother. Recently, it has become very popular among foreign tourists, as they can rent hanbok(traditional Korean clothing) from nearby rental shops. It is common to see tourists taking photos in hanbok in front of the traditional Korean houses.

We need bold leadership to address complex social problems

SYDNEY, April 29, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Health Justice Australia is calling on the next government of Australia to show bold political leadership in addressing the complex challenges many people in our community experience.

“More than ever, people in our community are facing interconnected health, social and justice issues that can have lifelong, intergenerational impacts on health and wellbeing. The challenges are significant: cost of living pressures, housing insecurity, increasing poverty, persistent gender inequality and gender-based violence, and increased risk from natural disaster and pandemics,” says Health Justice Australia CEO, Sheree Limbrick.

“Legal, health and social services are struggling to meet increasing demand for support, and individual service approaches do not have the capacity to respond to the complexity and interconnectedness of the problems people are experiencing.

“We urge the next government to invest in responses to these persistent problems through wraparound, person-centred services; early intervention and prevention; and First Nations self-determination.”

Health Justice Australia calls on our next government to:

1. Ensure strong, equitable and person-centred services that respond to multiple government priorities

The government must commit to long-term funding for preventive, integrated, multi-disciplinary services that address the social determinants of health; invest in the legal assistance sector to support an increase in integrated service delivery; and invest in workforce training to support multi-disciplinary practice.

2. Deliver resourcing to achieve First Nations self-determination

The government must adequately recognise and resource Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leadership, invest in Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations, and continue towards community-led transition of policy and service leadership.

3. Invest in prevention and early intervention and the wider determinants of health

The government should deliver 5% of total health expenditure on preventative health as outlined in the National Preventive Health Strategy; and raise the rate of JobSeeker and related payments to provide a basic living wage.

LG Energy Solution Establishes Battery Recycling Joint Venture with Derichebourg

  • Companies to build pre-processing facility in northern France to extract ‘black mass.’
  • Construction to begin in 2026; operations to commence in 2027
  • LG Energy Solution marks a critical first step toward a closed-loop system in Europe to strengthen value chain competitiveness.

SEOUL, South Korea, April 29, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — LG Energy Solution has announced plans to establish a joint venture with Derichebourg, the French leader in metal waste recycling, to build a state-of-the-art battery recycling plant.

Construction will begin in 2026 in Bruyères-sur-Oise, located in the Val-d’Oise region of northern France, with operations scheduled to commence in 2027.

The new plant will specialize in pre-processing, such as discharging, dismantling and shredding battery scrap—waste generated during battery production—as well as the collection of end-of-life EV batteries.

Marking LG Energy Solution’s first battery recycling joint venture in Europe, this state-of-the-art facility will have a processing capacity of over 20,000 tons per year at its full operation.

The black mass extracted at the pre-processing facility will undergo further post-processing to recover key battery raw materials such as lithium, nickel, and cobalt, which will then be used in LG Energy Solution’s battery production.

Under the agreement, LG Energy Solution will supply battery scrap from its facility in Poland, while Derichebourg will provide end-of-life EV batteries collected from France and surrounding countries.

Through this joint venture, LG Energy Solution is accelerating the development of a closed-loop[1] resource circulation system in Europe. This aligns with the company’s goals to enhance raw material sourcing stability and strengthen its value chain competitiveness, while reinforcing Europe’s sustainable battery recycling ecosystem.

Considering the EU Battery Regulation, which mandates a minimum level of recycled content in batteries sold in Europe starting in 2031, this partnership will also effectively address upcoming regulatory requirements. In addition, the collaboration aims to support car manufacturers seeking to establish a closed-loop battery recycling system, further promoting a circular economy.

Derichebourg operates over 200 collecting sites in France and over 285 sites worldwide. LG Energy Solution and Derichebourg plan to deepen their strategic partnership and expand their joint efforts in the battery recycling business.

“This collaboration enables us to secure a stable and cost-competitive supply of recycled battery materials from the advanced processing of end-of-life batteries and battery scrap,” said Chang Beom Kang, CSO of LG Energy Solution. “This initiative will also significantly enhance the value we deliver to customers in the recycling sector.”

“This partnership fully supports our ambition to develop industrial solutions with a high environmental added value, while strengthening the local roots of our activities,” said Abderrahmane El Aoufir, CEO of Derichebourg.

Telix’s Illuccix PSMA-PET Imaging Agent Approved in France

New approval provides French hospitals and clinics with access to a proven PSMA-PET imaging agent

MELBOURNE, Australia, April 29, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Telix Pharmaceuticals Limited (ASX: TLX, NASDAQ: TLX, Telix, the Company) today announces that its prostate cancer PET[1] imaging agent, Illuccix® (kit for the preparation of gallium-68 gozetotide injection), has been granted marketing authorization in France by ANSM[2] for the detection and localization of prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA)-positive lesions in adults with prostate cancer, a broad clinical label.

Illuccix, after radiolabelling with gallium-68, is indicated in France for the detection of prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA)-positive lesions with PET in adults with prostate cancer (PCa) in the following clinical settings:

  • Primary staging of patients with high-risk PCa prior to primary curative therapy.
  • Suspected recurrent PCa in patients with increasing levels of serum prostate-specific antigen (PSA) after primary curative therapy.
  • Identification of patients with PSMA-positive progressive metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) for whom PSMA-targeted therapy is indicated.

PSMA-PET[3] imaging represents a significant advancement in prostate cancer management, providing clinicians with more information than conventional imaging methods (bone scan, CT[4] scan) thereby offering a new standard of care after initial diagnosis and biochemical recurrence (BCR). Global guidelines recognise its superior accuracy in staging primary disease and assessing BCR/biochemical persistence (BCP)[5]. Illuccix® PSMA-PET will help address an important clinical need by supporting timely and effective diagnosis, as well as identifying patients who may benefit from PSMA-targeted therapy.

Illuccix’s broad approval is supported by robust clinical data, including the largest Ga-68-based PSMA data set from the VISION trial[6]. The approval of Illuccix® in France has the potential to resolve access challenges by enabling hospitals and clinics to prepare PSMA-PET scans on-site, offering physicians a quicker, more accessible solution.

Professor Frédéric Courbon, Head of the Medical Imaging Department – University Cancer Institute of Toulouse – Oncopole, commented, “PSMA-PET imaging is dramatically changing prostate cancer patient management. Thus, equitable and reliable access to PSMA-PET across France is essential. The approval of Illuccix® in France will address some of the access challenges, and reduce the risk of delayed diagnosis, with a readily available option for effective disease management.”

With its broad indication and ready-to-use formulation, Illuccix® is designed to support healthcare providers in delivering efficient and reliable imaging. The approval comes as demand for PSMA-PET continues to grow across Europe, reinforcing the need for solutions that fit within existing hospital workflows.

“The approval of Illuccix in France will enable a clinically validated PSMA-PET product to be more widely available, allowing healthcare providers to benefit from the convenience and flexibility of generator-produced gallium. This milestone reinforces our ongoing commitment to advancing prostate cancer care and expanding access to innovative diagnostic technologies across Europe,” said Raphaël Ortiz, Chief Executive Officer, Telix International.

Telix will partner with IRE ELiT S.A. (the radiopharmaceutical subsidiary of IRE Group), a leading provider of radioisotopes and radiopharmaceuticals for nuclear medicine, for the marketing and promotion of Illuccix® to healthcare professionals in France.

Jean Bonnet, Head of Strategy, Sales and Marketing, IRE EliT added: “We are pleased to collaborate with Telix and bring our expertise to expanding the availability of Illuccix throughout France. We are committed to ensuring that clinicians have access to reliable PSMA-PET imaging technologies to improve the lives of people living with prostate cancer.”

NaaS Technology Inc. Announces Completion of ADS Ratio Change

BEIJING, April 29, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — NaaS Technology Inc. (Nasdaq: NAAS) (“NaaS” or the “Company”), the first U.S.-listed EV charging service company in China, today announces that the previously announced change of the ratio (the “ADS Ratio”) of its American depositary shares (the “ADSs”) to its Class A ordinary shares has taken effect at the open of business on April 28, 2025 (U.S. Eastern Time) (“Effective Date”).

The change in the ADS Ratio, from one ADS to 200 Class A ordinary shares to one ADS to 800 Class A ordinary shares, had the same effect as a one-for-four reverse ADS split. The exchange of one new ADS for every 4 previously-held ADSs occurred automatically upon effectiveness, with the previously-held ADSs cancelled and the new ADSs issued by JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A., the depositary bank for the Company’s ADS program.

As a result of the change in the ADS Ratio, the ADS trading price is expected to increase proportionally, although the Company can give no assurance that the ADS trading price after the change in the ADS Ratio will be proportionally equal to or greater than 4 times the ADS trading price before the change.
