This remarkable achievement reflects the company’s proactive integration into the broader local development landscape and its contribution to the “six tough battles” of the autonomous region and the “six hard battles” of Wuzhong City through high-quality power supply services.

The company has prioritized key project construction by establishing a comprehensive inventory of projects and implementing a “project director” responsibility system. It actively engages with industrial parks and key enterprises to promote business environment improvements and market-oriented trading policies. Additionally, State Grid Wuzhong Power Supply Company has invested 829 million yuan in grid strengthening and upgrading initiatives, significantly enhancing the grid’s power supply capacity.

In terms of residential electricity, the company has facilitated the conversion of 46,800 households from coal to electricity, resulting in a 29.74% year-on-year increase in electricity consumption in January. The company has also installed 177 charging piles, achieving a 59% year-on-year increase to support green travel.

Regarding the development of a new power system, State Grid Wuzhong Power Supply Company has completed three new energy access reviews, including the State-owned Power Investment Qingtongxia Tongfu 49.5 megawatt distributed wind power project. The company is actively cooperating with local government departments on preliminary work for substation deployment and other projects to ensure seamless integration of distributed power supplies. Currently, the installed capacity of new energy (excluding salt pools) stands at 13,283.6 megawatts, with an energy storage scale of 1.85 gigawatts/3.7 gigawatt-hours, leading in Ningxia.

Moving forward, State Grid Wuzhong Power Supply Company will continue to uphold the spirit of diligence, ensuring reliable power supply, accelerating project construction, optimizing services, and providing robust support for local economic and social development.

Staff from State Grid Wuzhong Power Supply Company have conducted comprehensive inspections of the enterprise’s electrical equipment to ensure its stable operation.

Ningxia Jinghe Packaging Co., Ltd., established as a key private enterprise in 2023, has been designated as a priority investment attraction project by Wuzhong City. Upon completion, the project is expected to achieve an annual output value of 2 billion yuan, provide over 2,000 job opportunities, and potentially become the largest plastic woven bag production base in Ningxia. To support the rapid development of this enterprise, State Grid Wuzhong Power Supply Company has actively responded to the government’s initiative to assist enterprises. They have proactively provided on-site services, accurately assessed electricity demands, and implemented tailored power consumption solutions. Through specialized measures for safe power consumption rectification, they have effectively reduced electricity costs and improved safety standards.

Furthermore, State Grid Wuzhong Power Supply Company has introduced a new service model called “electricity plus other services,” establishing a “green channel” for electricity supply. A total investment of 2,221,200 yuan has been made to construct a new 10 kV line spanning 7.24 kilometers, fully ensuring the electricity demand for the enterprise’s project construction.

“Our monthly electricity demand is approximately 4 million kWh. With a reliable power supply, we can confidently operate all production lines at full capacity to accelerate production,” said Wen Zhicun, Project Leader of Ningxia Jinghe Packaging Co., Ltd.

“After the on-site service provided by the power supply company, eight sets of wire drawing equipment and 500 looms in Workshop No. 2 have been successfully commissioned, enabling daily production of 100 tons of products,” said Lin Xuanle, General Manager of Ningxia Jinghe Packaging Co., Ltd.

Indonesia Data Protection Dialogue 2025 brings together different perspectives to support digital transformation

JAKARTA, Indonesia, Feb. 24, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — APCO Indonesia in cooperation with Asosiasi Praktisi Pelindungan Data Indonesia (APPDI) and Center for Digital Society (CfDS) held the “Indonesia Data Protection Dialogue 2025: Assembling Perspectives on Data Protection in a Changing World” (IDPD 2025) on 19 February.

The event discussed collaborative approaches between stakeholder to achieve the betterment of data protection initiatives in Indonesia — delving into critical issues, exploring challenges and opportunities posed by the current landscape, including solutions provided via available and emerging technologies.

IDPD 2025 consisted of two panel sessions involving government, industry, associations and subject-matter experts — including from Kementerian Komunikasi dan Digital (Kemenkomdigi), Badan Siber dan Sandi Negara (BSSN), Indonesian E-Commerce Association (idEA), PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia (GoTo), Asosiasi Digital Trust Indonesia (ADTI), and Amazon Web Services (AWS).

The first panel, “Data in a Changing Global Landscape” discussed data as a critical global asset, underscoring the importance of robust data protection to sustain Indonesia’s digital transformation. A major discussion point was the critical need to uphold the free flow of data to enhance digital service delivery and cybersecurity more generally. It was emphasized that regulations enforcing data localization could hinder innovation and economic growth. The second panel, “Cross-Sector Collaboration for Data Protection”, emphasized the importance of data protection infrastructure cohesiveness, highlighting the best practices available to explore.

Alexander Sabar, Director General of Digital Space Supervision from Kemenkomdigi underscored the government’s commitment in strengthening data protection, We believe that the challenges we face in data protection can be solved if the government, businesses, and non-governmental organizations work together. We are continuing to work on the implementing regulations of the PDP Law and hope to implement them soon as a mark of our commitment.”

Anastasia Putri, Associate Director from APCO Indonesia emphasized, “We’re excited to introduce the inaugural Indonesia Data Protection Dialogue. We want to create an opportunity for thought leaders to dive deeper into the topic of data protection, discuss the current regulations and future rollouts, and raise awareness around the topic.”

Indonesia‘ digital economy is undergoing rapid development and is expected to peak in 2030. All the while, issues of data leaks and cybercrime continues to be issues that strip away the exponential benefits of this rapid growth. The Indonesian government has rolled out policies in response to various incidents, though awareness is still on the rise.

Raditya Kosasih, Co-Founder of APPDI said, “Data protection is not merely a legal obligation, but it should be seen as a strategy to increase trust given the rapid digital developments in Indonesia and the world. This Dialogue is essential to ensure that there is strong alignment between data protection practitioners, policymakers, and industries on how to better implement data protection practices.”

Hafiz Noer, Head of Research for Center for Digital Society (CfDS), stated, “It is key that we build an open line of communication, ensuring continued collaboration and input between all relevant parties. This is true for the topic of data protection as it increasingly becomes a hot topic in our society today, including for local digital businesses looking to align themselves with international standards.
