Jinpeng Group Launched New Products for Southeast Asian Countries at The 136th Canton Fair

GUANGZHOU, CHINA – Media OutReach Newswire – 18 October 2024 – The 136th Canton Fair opened with great fanfare in Guangzhou, China. In this Canton Fair, Jinpeng Group is one of the leading enterprises of light green travel products in China. Under the general trend of “going to sea” of China’s new energy vehicles, it has also brought more than ten new energy products. The company also secured strategic agreements with key clients on-site, generating substantial interest and engagement.

10 Models Across All Categories Launched
Since early 2020, Jinpeng has expanded its brand overseas, conducting thorough market research in products, R&D, manufacturing, and branding. This strategy has realigned its product lineup and earned widespread recognition from global clients.

At the Canton Fair, Jinpeng unveiled more than 10 models across three categories—electric two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and E-bikes—tailored to global consumer demand. The lineup includes high-speed, functional, and electric motorcycles, as well as daily commuting options, urban, mountain, and the new photovoltaic energy storage tricycle, attracting a peak of client consultations on the first day.

Under the general trend of “going to sea” of China’s new energy vehicles, it has also brought more than ten new energy products, including the newly launched photovoltaic energy storage travel product HY with a top speed of 40 km/h. This product can directly solve the travel problems of power facilities imperfect and long sunshine time country “last kilometer”.

Jinpeng has launched a number of new energy vehicles for the European and American markets. For instance, the BOX-R has won the favor of many customers with its adjustable saddle, 101 km/h top speed, and wide tires and suspension system suitable for various terrains. At the same time, it is also the first product, launched for “right rudder” countries to meet the needs of users in more countries.

It is worth mentioning that on the day of the launch, Jinpeng Group reached a cooperation with a customer from Nepal and signed 48 orders for new energy vehicles on the spot, which was upgraded from “signing the bill after the exhibition” to “spot signing” compared with the previous session. Demonstrating the strength and recognition of the Jinpeng brand in its international expansion.

Full-speed Brand Expansion Overseas
Latest data reveals that in the first eight months of this year, China’s total goods import and export value reached 28.58 trillion yuan, marking a 6% year-on-year increase. This strong global market recovery provides a solid foundation for Jinpeng’s international brand expansion.

Jinpeng has actively promoted electric mobility projects in global markets since 2020, earning a strong international reputation and a foundation of trust. Since 2020, Jinpeng’s overseas division has actively executed the group’s brand expansion strategy, establishing many marketing centers globally.

So far, the products have been exported to more than 50 countries. Jinpeng Electric Vehicle has accumulated global sales of over 15 million vehicles, and is also the only enterprise in the industry with annual sales exceeding 1 million vehicles. This capability ensures high-quality delivery, timely supplies, and strong operational support for customers worldwide.

In tandem with its R&D and manufacturing system, Jinpeng has also developed a comprehensive channel construction system. In the first half of this year, Jinpeng actively opened brand stores worldwide, particularly in Romagna and other neighboring countries.

Jinpeng’s brand expansion strategy leverages exhibition marketing to create valuable opportunities for acquiring customer insights and exploring new channels. At the Canton Fair, numerous prospective and existing clients visited the booth for in-depth discussions on channel development and product marketing.

Jinpeng Group will make good use of its manufacturing advantages to showcase its latest technologies following the Canton Fair to strengthen its presence in the international market. This initiative aims to enhance brand development and market expansion as Jinpeng pursues becoming the global leader in light green transportation.

Inaugural Asia-Pacific Heart Summit Opens with Urgent Call for Action on Cardiovascular Disease and Health Equity

BANGKOK, THAILAND – Media OutReach Newswire – 18 October 2024 – The inaugural Asia-Pacific Heart Summit kicked-off today in Bangkok, bringing together over 100 delegates from across the region to confront the urgent need for greater public and policy awareness of cardiovascular disease (CVD), the leading cause of death in the Asia-Pacific. Co-hosted by the Thailand Ministry of Public Health-Department of Medical Services (MOPH-DMS), the National Health Security Office (NHSO), and the Asia-Pacific Cardiovascular Disease Alliance, the Heart Summit highlights the pressing need to address the low levels of awareness despite the devastating impact of CVD.

The Burden of Disease
Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is responsible for a devastating 19 deaths every minute and over 10 million deaths annually across the Asia-Pacific region, yet public awareness and policy focus on this pressing issue remain critically low. With the economic toll of CVD exceeding USD $177 billion in direct healthcare costs, vulnerable communities—especially those in rural and underserved areas—are disproportionately affected. 1

As home to 60% of the world’s population, Asia-Pacific is marked by immense diversity in ethnicity, culture, and socioeconomic status, and faces unique challenges in both the prevention and treatment of CVD. The leading risk factors—including high cholesterol, high blood pressure, obesity, smoking, and physical inactivity—are intricately linked to broader societal factors like healthcare, education, and urban planning. Although these risk factors are largely preventable with early identification and intervention1, a lack of sufficient health education and awareness is contributing to their alarming rise.

Lower- and middle-income countries in the region face additional hurdles, including gaps in medical infrastructure, a shortage of CVD specialists, and limited access to quality healthcare, particularly in rural areas where resources are scarce compounding the issues further.1 The Summit seeks to bridge these gaps by fostering greater collaboration and generating momentum for comprehensive action.

Dr. Taweesin Visanuyothin, Director General, Department of Medical Services Ministry of Public Health,Thailand, emphasized the implementation of a seamless healthcare service which encompasses four key activities for promoting health literacy and CVD prevention.

They are:

  1. Firstly, increasing public awareness of NCDs and CVD, focusing on educating communities about the risks and preventive measures;
  2. Secondly, expanding screening efforts to include comprehensive CVD risk assessments, particularly in underserved areas;
  3. Thirdly, empowering primary care providers to play a more active role in managing CVD by ensuring they have access to essential medicines and tools for effective treatment.
  4. And finally, enhancing surveillance systems by developing national registries and databases for NCDs and risk factors, which will enable better tracking and tailored interventions.

The Summit also emphasizes the importance of developing cohesive CVD strategies and of integrating innovative national policies inclusive of digital technologies, as well as sustainable healthcare financing to combat CVD effectively. Japan’s Cerebrovascular and Cardiovascular Disease Control Act is presented as a model, showing how policy innovation can drive improvements in public health systems across the region.

Discussions will also focus on developing sustainable financing mechanisms to ensure equitable access to care, prioritizing the needs of the high-risk populations. Although both men and women are affected by CVD, the impact on women is frequently under-recognized, and treatment solutions are often not designed with their specific needs in mind. It is crucial to build gender-responsive strategies that address the unique barriers women face in CVD diagnosis and care, while also acknowledging the differences in how the disease affects men and women.

A Call for Collective Action

Dr. Panthep Khananuraksa, Expert, National Health Security Office, Thailand, reinforced their commitment to creating lasting change: “Despite the enormous toll CVD takes on lives, there is still a gap in public understanding and policy focus. Cardiovascular disease, including stroke and ischemic heart disease (IHD), is responsible for the highest number of CVD-related deaths in Thailand.

Our commitment to combating CVD is grounded in the need to raise awareness. This first Heart Summit is a starting point for creating lasting change, where all communities, regardless of their location or circumstances, have access to the care and prevention tools they need to reduce these preventable deaths. Collaboration across multiple stakeholders, including the public and patient groups, will be critical to ensuring we build a system that serves everyone effectively.” added Dr. Panthep.

Dr. N Krishna Reddy, CEO of ACCESS Health International and a representative of the Asia-Pacific Cardiovascular Disease Alliance, highlighted: “As we gather at the Asia-Pacific Heart Summit, we are not just discussing cardiovascular disease; we are charting a new course for comprehensive care. CVD requires an all-hands-on-deck, multi-stakeholder approach. Everyone has a role to play—from governments and civil society organizations to the private sector and healthcare industry across the region. Our collective efforts in prevention, treatment, and policy will shape a future where cardiovascular health is prioritized and accessible for all.”

Moving Forward
The Summit will conclude on 19 October 2024, with a Call to Action encouraging governments and stakeholders to join forces in implementing critical measures and actionable strategies to address CVD in the region. Additionally, the World Heart Federation will highlight global policy advocacy priorities required to address the gaps in awareness and prepare for the 2025 UN High-Level Meeting on NCDs, where cardiovascular disease will be a key focus.

Exploring the Structure and Impact of a Potential BRICS Currency: Insights from Global Broker Octa

The upcoming BRICS summit in Kazan, Russia, is closely monitored for potential developments in economic cooperation and currency strategies. With the introduction of new members and the ongoing development of a BRICS currency, this gathering could mark a significant turning point in international finance. Will the summit unveil a new era of economic cooperation and bring about a new currency? Global broker Octa provides the analytics.

  • The BRICS organisation has evolved from a discussion forum to a more active player in global affairs.
  • The creation of a common BRICS currency is a major focus of the upcoming summit in Kazan.
  • Implementing a new BRICS currency presents significant challenges but also offers potential benefits for the member states.
  • The success of a BRICS currency could have a profound impact on the international financial system, potentially challenging the dominance of the U.S. dollar.
  • Gold is likely to play a role in the new currency development, as evidenced by increased gold purchases by BRICS central banks.
  • While the full implications of a BRICS currency are uncertain, its development could mark a significant shift in the global economic landscape.

KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA – Media OutReach Newswire – 17 October 2024 – BRICS countries are due to meet for their 16th annual summit in Kazan, Russia, on 22-24 October. BRICS, a fast-growing intergovernmental organisation currently consisting of nine member states (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Iran, Egypt, Ethiopia, and the United Aran Emirates), has been holding regular summits since 2009. However, many past gatherings have been relatively low-key, as BRICS was considered primarily as a platform for discussion and viewed mainly as a forum for dialogue. Still, there have been notable exceptions, and the organisation has been getting increasingly more vocal lately.

Exploring the Structure and Impact of a Potential BRICS Currency: Insights from Global Broker Octa

  • In 2009, following the 1st Summit in Yekaterinburg, Russia, the BRIC group (South Africa was not part of the organisation then) declared the need for a new world reserve currency. Although the official statement did not include any explicit intentions or an action-plan, it was the first time the U.S. dollar dominance was challenged on such a high level.
  • In 2014, at its 6th Summit held in Fortaleza, Brazil, BRICS adopted the so-called Fortaleza Declaration and Action Plan. It laid out the organisation’s plans for the future and focused on political dialogue, economic cooperation and integration, and cultural exchange.
  • The 14th Summit, presided by China in 2022 and hosted virtually, aimed to strengthen cooperation among the five member states. It was at this summit that Russia’s president announced that the organisation was working to design a new reserve currency based on a basket of BRICS currencies.
  • The 15th Summit, which took place in Johannesburg, South Africa, in 2023 was particularly notable as five new countries were invited to join the organisation (Argentina, Egypt, Ethiopia, Saudi Arabia, and United Arab Emirates). Although Argentina later declined to accept the invitation, other countries officially became members of BRICS on December 29, 2023 with Saudi Arabia joining later.

‘It is quite clear that BRICS summits are getting progressively noteworthy, and the organisation can no longer be dismissed as a mere talking shop. This year, the BRICS meeting may prove to be yet another turning point, especially for international finance,’ says Kar Yong Ang, a financial market analyst at Octa Broker.

Indeed, the summit in Kazan might potentially produce substantial and meaningful developments with significant and far-reaching implications. Specifically, the creation of a common BRICS currency is expected to be included in the agenda. ‘It [BRICS common currency] is arguably the most ambitious project in international finance since the introduction of euro in 1999,’ says Kar Yong Ang, noting that while rumors about the BRICS currency have been circulating for years, they are now more likely than ever to become reality in the near future.

Still, Octa Broker does not expect a new currency to be fully unveiled during the summit in Kazan but anticipates substantial advancements in its conceptualisation and development. Despite its many benefits, there are significant challenges to overcome before such a currency can be successfully implemented. Furthermore, it is not entirely clear if the BRICS is aiming to create a mere means of exchange between its members to settle transactions in international trade or is building something more grandiose, such as a Monetary Union, akin to Eurozone, with its own central bank. ‘For now, a Monetary Union is certainly out of the question,’ argues Kar Yong Ang, a financial market analyst at Octa Broker. ‘It would require years if not decades of preparation, harmonisation of central banks’ policies and an agreement between states to replace their sovereign currencies with a new, common legal tender. It is not going to happen any time soon.’

Indeed, BRICS does not seem to be aiming for economic convergence. Instead, it wants a technical solution that would enable more efficient cross-border transactions. In other words, BRICS wants to establish a common means of exchange that will be internationally accepted by all the members of the organisation, with transactions settled in an independent BRICS payment system. In fact, BRICS is attempting to solve a very tangible problem. When two countries trade with each other and pay each other in their national currencies (which is the case with some BRICS members), a country which sells more and runs a trade surplus will end up with a surplus of another country’s currency.

Kar Yong Ang, a financial market analyst at Octa Broker, notes: ‘BRICS currency will not be a currency per se. It will not take a physical form, so it will be notional in some sense. Its main purpose is to act as a simple technical solution.’ Indeed, at the onset, BRICS common currency will likely be purely digital and will be used exclusively on the BRICS payment platform, called mBridge, supported by the Bank of International Settlement (BIS). BRICS’ mBridge will serve as a gateway for settlements in central bank digital currencies (CBDs). Effectively, it will act as an alternative to today’s most commonly used payment platform, called Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT) system.

Recent research suggests that a new BRICS currency (or mBridge unit) will be based on gold and the basket of BRICS sovereign currencies with a ratio of 40% to 60%—that is, 40% gold and 60% BRICS currencies. Given that China is the BRIC’s largest economy, it is assumed that the currencies’ basket will be dominated by yuan. However, it remains to be seen whether India will endorse this solution, considering its less-than-ideal relations with China. In any case, if BRICS announces a roadmap to common currency or otherwise makes progress on its establishment, the development of a BRICS currency may affect the U.S. dollar and gold markets.

Indeed, should BRICS succeed in launching a peer-to-peer digital currency platform for cross border payments, the demand for U.S. dollars will almost certainly drop. On the contrary, the demand for gold will rise. In fact, over the past year or so BRICS central banks have been doing exactly that—buying gold and selling U.S. Treasury bonds. No wonder gold has been hitting new highs every month since March 2024 and continues to trade near all-time highs. Overall, a new currency will enable BRICS countries to conduct seamless payments across borders, cut transactionary costs and make them more independent. The broader impact on the global scale is hard to contemplate at this point, but it can potentially be very significant. At no time before has the U.S. dollar hegemony been challenged to such a degree that its very status as a reserve currency becomes questionable. Although BRICS is still far from replacing the greenback, the initiative may introduce new dynamics that could impact the dollar’s position in international trade.
