FIELD MEDICAL ANNOUNCES FIRST-IN-HUMAN DATA FOR FOCAL PFA IN SCAR-RELATED VT AT HEART RHYTHM 2025

Eight presentations, including late-breaking science, live cases, and a landmark symposium

CARDIFF-BY-THE-SEA, Calif., April 23, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Field Medical Inc., a leader in cardiac pulsed field ablation (PFA) technology, announced today its FieldForce™ Ablation System will be featured in eight scientific presentations at the 46th annual Heart Rhythm Society (HRS) meeting, April 24–27, in San Diego, Calif.

HRS 2025, the premier global meeting for heart rhythm science, is expected to draw more than 9,000 attendees and 2,000 expert faculty. Field Medical joins this record-breaking lineup with eight presentations spanning live case demonstrations, poster sessions, and a flagship satellite symposium—culminating in the late-breaking VCAS trial on Sunday, April 27, where acute results from the first-in-human evaluation of focal PFA for scar-related ventricular tachycardia (VT) will be unveiled. This novel approach targets scar VT, a notoriously difficult arrhythmia marked by dense fibrotic substrates and high recurrence rates.

Field Medical’s proprietary FieldForce Ablation System, a high-voltage, focal PFA catheter, will be featured across live cases, poster sessions and a flagship satellite symposium – spotlighting its potential to expand next-generation PFA access for complex cardiac ablation.

“For decades, VT has challenged even the most skilled electrophysiologists due to the complexity of the scar substrate,” said Steven Mickelsen, MD, CEO and Founder of Field Medical. “With FieldForce we’re not just iterating—we’re redefining what’s possible. This new focal PFA system has the potential to bring PFA to the areas of greatest unmet need in electrophysiology, and the momentum we’re seeing at Heart Rhythm 2025 reflects that.”

As part of Heart Rhythm 2025, Field Medical’s participation underscores its commitment to advancing science, improving outcomes, and shaping the next chapter in VT and PFA innovation.

At this year’s auto show, GAC, with safety as the foundation, and supported by computing power, data, and algorithms, unveiled the “X-SOUL AI Panorama.” The vision for a better future of human mobility is realized through four key scenarios—”Sky, People, Home, and Car”—actively shaping a new “AI+” full-scenario intelligent mobility ecosystem.

In flying cars, GAC has entered the “sky” space, creating a new framework for three-dimensional mobility. GAC has incubated the flying car brand GOVY, achieving the cross-industry integration of “automotive AI+ aviation safety.”

In robotics, GAC alleviates the pressure on “people,” making robots a companion in everyday life. With a dual-drive approach of “self-developed core hardware + building an industrial ecosystem,” GAC has already launched the third-generation embodied intelligent humanoid robot, GoMate.

In smart vehicle-home integration, GAC expands the “home” scenario, transforming the mobility experience into an extension of family life. GAC’s GoLife “Green Smart Vehicle-Home” integrated solution enables bidirectional connectivity between the vehicle and smart home systems.

In intelligent vehicles, GAC enriches the “car” concept, making the automobile a “smart mobile home.” In Q4, GAC aims to launch the country’s first L3-level conditional autonomous driving vehicle and the first factory-installed, mass-produced L4-level highly autonomous driving vehicle.

Currently, AI has become the core force driving transformation in the automotive industry. With AI empowerment, GAC introduces four flagship models, offering users smarter and safer mobility options.

In collaboration with Didi Autonomous Driving, GAC has launched the world’s first factory-installed, mass-produced L4-level highly autonomous driving vehicle with global adaptability.

Through deep collaborative innovation with Huawei Kunlun and CATL, GAC has developed the All-New S9, equipped with the latest Kunlun Intelligent Driving ADS 4 and HarmonyOS cockpit 5.

GAC also introduced its all-new shooting brake concept car-EARTH.

Moreover, GAC unveiled the GAC Pickup 01, a concept truck designed with technological aesthetics for global users.

2025 marks the third year of GAC’s “Panyu Action” taking effect. GAC will prioritize user needs, uphold the principles of safety first and intelligence at the core, and, guided by the “X- SOUL AI Panorama,” fully commit to building an “AI+” full-scenario intelligent mobility ecosystem, leading the new era of AI-driven transformation!

The Advent of GPU-Based Confidential Compute is Set to Revolutionize the Confidential Computing Market

NEW YORK, April 23, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Confidential computing is poised to become essential for data protection, bolstered by other privacy technologies and software. It’s driving significant growth opportunities for vendors in both the hardware and software sectors. ABI Research, a global technology intelligence firm, expects overall confidential computing revenue to reach US$160 billion by 2032, at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 44%. This growth is driven by advances in confidential virtual machines (VMs), GPU-based compute, and the expansion of secure enclaves across systems. Along with ongoing efforts by the Confidential Computing Consortium, confidential computing remains a top priority for both vendors and data protection organizations.

“While confidential computing is still in its early stages, the market is approaching a turning point due to key advancements in both hardware and software,” explains Aisling Dawson, Industry Analyst at ABI Research. “GPU-based confidential computing has reignited demand, especially for AI and ML applications. The shift toward hardware-agnostic solutions that extend enclave protection across ecosystems will drive revenue opportunities for vendors beyond just processor providers. Meanwhile, specialized software and as-a-service offerings, particularly those focused on infrastructure and application agnosticism, are poised to capture a significant share of the market.”

The confidential computing market boasts strong players capable of prolonged and intense investment, backing a strong growth trajectory in this segment. This includes hardware giants like Intel and AMD, as well as breakout providers in the Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) subsegment, such as Arm. Additionally, pioneers in the GPU subsegment, such as NVIDIA, lead the way with regard to AI and ML applications. Primary contenders in the software space include Anjuna Seaglass, Fortanix, Decentriq, and Edgeless Systems. Mass migration to the cloud contributes to growing demand for innovative new cloud-security solutions from cloud service providers, drawing in hyperscalers like Google, Microsoft, and Amazon into the wider confidential computing ecosystem.

With some remaining resistance, particularly regarding costs and migration complexities associated with transitioning to systems secured by confidential compute, adoption is not expected to be widespread before 2032. Dawson advises, “To succeed in this growing market, vendors must focus on solutions that address specific data protection needs, such as multi-party data collaboration and AI/ML security. Developing products on confidential computing hardware will help demonstrate its value and drive adoption. Additionally, exploring how confidential computing integrates with other privacy technologies, particularly in balancing input privacy with techniques like homomorphic encryption and multi-party computation for output privacy, will accelerate its mainstream adoption.”

These findings are from ABI Research’s Confidential Computing: Hardware report. This report is part of the company’s Quantum Safe Technologies and Trusted Device Solutions research services, which include research, data, and ABI Insights.
