AAX Recognized by CoinGecko and CryptoCompare

CryptoCompare acknowledged the increase of AAX’s spot trading volume in July.

CoinGecko ranked AAX as one of the top 20 and most trusted cryptocurrency exchanges.

VICTORIA, SEYCHELLES – Media OutReach – 24 August 2022 – AAX, a digital asset exchange for everyone, announced today that it has been recognized by CryptoCompare, an FCA authorized and regulated global leader in digital asset data, for its increase in spot trading volume in July 2022. CoinGecko, a leading data aggregation platform for the crypto market, has also ranked AAX as one of the most trusted cryptocurrency trading platforms.

CryptoCompare Exchange Review

According to CryptoCompare’s latest Exchange Review published in July 2022, AAX has been ranked the second-largest exchange by spot trading volume, with a rise of 285% in 2022. In July 2022, the digital asset exchange recorded US$57.2 billion in volume, a 26.5% rise from June, despite the decline of spot trading volumes across all centralized crypto exchanges.

CoinGecko Ranks Top Cryptocurrency Exchanges

CoinGecko has awarded AAX a Trust Score of 8, which indicates an increase. The new score indicates that AAX is now ranked as a 3-star Certified Ethereum Professional (CEP) Exchange.

Among the ranking criteria, AAX scored favorably in terms of liquidity, scale, cybersecurity, API coverage, and the availability of a senior leadership team. AAX was also recognized as a digital asset exchange that has not yet experienced security/functional issues that can potentially affect a user’s fund safety.

AAX’s Bug Bounty Program on HackenProof

AAX’s improved Trust Score follows the launch of its recent bug bounty program on HackenProof. The bug bounty program opens the door to the community and aims to shape a security-first platform with four top priorities – AAX’s website, its API, Android and iOS apps. The program offers payouts of up to $1,500 per critical vulnerability discovered, with smaller rewards for less critical bugs.

“Trust has alway been one of AAX’s core principles, along with security, integrity, and performance,” said Ben Caselin, VP of Global Marketing and Head of Research & Strategy at AAX. “Fully delivering on these principles takes time and constant improvement. It is great to see our achievements reflected in CoinGecko’s ranking as we continue to enhance our technological capability and services for our users..”

CoinGecko Guides Investors to the Best Exchanges with Its Trust Score

CoinGecko rolled out its Trust Score algorithm in 2019 to provide its users with transparent data so that they can make informed decisions on which platform they should entrust with their funds. In addition to liquidity, the CoinGecko Trust Score ranks exchanges based on trading activity, scale, technical expertise, cybersecurity, and other metrics.

For traders, it is of utmost importance to choose a trusted exchange. The crypto industry has been hit with multiple hacks on exchanges and DeFi protocols in recent months. One recent report by Atlas VPN found that hackers stole over $672 million through various heists and scams in the first three months of 2022 alone. Moreover, hacks on unregulated crypto exchanges and DeFi platforms have become common, resulting in millions of dollars of investors’ funds lost.

MODIFI’s H2 2022 Predictions Report assesses current, forthcoming factors affecting global supply chains

The report explores the current state of the logistics industry and its impact on global trade and the supply chain

BERLIN, GERMANY – Media OutReach – 24 August 2022 – Global Fintech MODIFI, today released its Global Supply Chain Disruptions: H2 2022 Prediction Report .In this report, Industry experts from around the world weigh in on their predictions for how supply chains will change and businesses must adapt from the impacts caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and recent world events.

Expert viewpoints on the external factors disrupting and transforming the supply chain industry, including economic challenges caused by rising inflation, skyrocketing fuel prices, and international conflicts are explored. The report also highlights how the retail industry is affected by emerging technology that enables exporters and importers to match supply with demand patterns, and track modern purchasing habits and choices.

One of the biggest trends being seen is geographic dispersion of a buyer’s supplier base. “The crisis in Ukraine and Russia, as well as other supply chain disruptions, such as COVID-19 lockdowns, staffing shortages and labor unrest, have caused many businesses to look at more localized manufacturing and shorter supply chains. The accelerated transition is resulting in more companies increasing their investment in countries such as Vietnam, Thailand and India,” said Brian Dowd, Sales Director – North America.

To combat supply chain disruptions, our experts have also identified that technology is becoming critical to supply chain success in the U.S. as businesses invest in innovative tools to provide more insight into the movement of goods and inventory. Emerging technologies such as AI, predictive analysis, risk analysis and monitoring, are helping companies deal with disruptions and external obstacles by enabling leaders to make instant executive decisions within their supply chain.

And while many countries in the world, especially the U.S. and across Europe, are emerging from the COVID-19 crisis, the virus still casts a long shadow over China. As Chinese authorities implement strict pandemic restrictions in major cities and suspend operations at factories and businesses, this is affecting manufacturing and supply chains around the world. The report acknowledges that the global supply chain remains stretched, but predicts that we are over the peak, although it remains to be seen how long it will take before domestic transport returns to normal.

Buyers and sellers are also also using global payments to manage liquidity and risk. “When dealing with supply chain disruptions, both sellers and buyers are often unable to match payment term expectations, and the waiting period for payment can go up to 90 days.” said Brian Dowd, Sales Director – North America. In addition, since “Container shipping prices have only fallen 16% and continue to decrease slightly, but not drastically, so businesses are trying to diversify their risk by using models that pass some of the costs to buyers.” said Ankit Goel, Senior Vice President – Global Accounts.

The global supply chain market is in a period of turmoil and organizations across the world are attempting to build resilience into their systems. This means shifting to local suppliers, scrutinizing suppliers, investing in or stockpiling inventory, and investing in supply chain security. Organizations in every country are using technology to transform the way they do business to secure opportunities in an uncertain future.

Redress Design Award 2022 Photshoot

The Redress Design Award is the world’s largest sustainable fashion design competition, organised by Redress and supported by Create Hong Kong (CreateHK) of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region as the Lead Sponsor.

Titled ‘Repackaged’, the photoshoot is styled and photographed by leading Hong Kong creatives Kieran Ho and The Buffacow, and inspired by the raw aesthetics of paper and cardboard industrial packaging. The theme of the shoot is intended to both remind us of the vast journey our clothing takes to get to us and showcase the potential for textile waste to be turned into something beautiful and new — reflecting the Redress Design Award’s creative legacy of revaluing waste.

In addition to being published in both the print and digital editions of the Redress Design Award magazine, the photoshoot will also be featured in the October 2022 sustainability issue of Vogue Hong Kong.

For the photoshoot and upcoming Grand Final, the finalists’ collections were brought safely to Hong Kong courtesy of UPS’ carbon neutral shipping service.

Next month, the forward-thinking finalists will debut their sustainable collections on a global stage, showcasing their skills in design techniques including zero-waste, upcycling, and reconstruction, with a focus on circular strategies of designing for low impact and processes, low waste, longevity, and recyclability. The finalists have also embraced creativity and innovative thinking in their material sourcing, from leftover yarn collected from weaver families, to retired sarees and shawls from family closets.

An esteemed panel of international judges across the fashion industry, including Hong Kong’s Edwin Keh, Chief Executive Officer of the Hong Kong Research Institute of Textiles and Apparel (HKRITA), will be evaluating the finalists’ collections for their creativity, sustainability, marketability, and workmanship. The top talent who wins the first prize will receive a HK$50,000 (US$6,400) development fund and join the Sustainability & Responsibility team at VF’s Timberland to collaborate on a design project, gaining valuable experience from across the supply chain along the way. Prizes for the runner-up and Hong Kong Best winners include development funds, mentorships, and high-performance sewing machines.

Participating from their homes across the world — Brazil, Chile, India, Italy, Spain, Sri Lanka, as well as from the hosting city Hong Kong — the finalists will continue their educational journey in the upcoming Grand Final Week through practical design challenges and masterclasses, such as the ‘Meet the Experts: Closing the loop with fibre regeneration’ masterclass with Lenzing’s TENCEL™ and ‘A Discussion on Manufacturing’ with TAL Apparel, to set them up for flourishing careers in sustainable fashion.
