Vinhomes Green Paradise receives Smart City Certification based on the Global Iso 37122 Standard

HANOI, VIETNAM – Media OutReach Newswire – 5 August 2026 – The World Council on City Data (WCCD) has officially awarded Vinhomes Green Paradise – Can Gio the InterimCustom ISO 37122Smart CityCertification. This milestone marks another significant step in Vinhomes Green Paradise’s journey toward becoming the first mega urban development in Vietnam to achieve an internationally recognized smart city certification, setting new benchmarks for sustainable urban development on a global scale.

Vinhomes Green Paradise receives Smart City Certification based on the Global Iso 37122 Standard

The certification recognizes the substantial progress Vinhomes Green Paradise has made in advancing its smart city development in alignment with international standards. WCCD acknowledged that the project has achieved remarkable progress in its design, planning, and development strategy. This WCCD Certification serves as an important foundation for the project as it advances toward Full Certification upon commencement of operations.

The award of the WCCD Interim Custom ISO 37122 Smart City Certification follows a comprehensive assessment conducted by the WCCD and based upon the customized indicators framework WCCD specifically developed for greenfield development projects. The framework incorporates the core principles of ISO 37122, one of the world’s most respected international standards for measuring and evaluating smart city performance.

Dr. Patricia McCarney, President & CEO of the World Council on City Data (WCCD) and Director of Standardized Urban Metrics (SUM), stated: “This WCCD InterimCustom ISO 37122 Smart City Certification recognizes Vinhomes’ long-term vision and commitment to developing a smart, sustainable, and future-ready urban model. The Vinhomes Green Paradise – Can Gio urban development project is now equipped with a powerful baseline of data designed to propel success, providing a strong foundation for year-over-year monitoring of development goals in smart urban governance, infrastructure development, technology adoption and sustainability, ensuring Full ISO 37122 Certification once operations commence. We congratulate Vinhomes on this important certification milestone, a global first, setting a new precedent for greenfield developments in cities worldwide.“

Mr. Chulse Oh, Head of AX Group at Korea Management Association Consultants (KMAC), commented: “The award of the WCCD Interim Custom ISO 37122 Smart City Certification marks an important milestone in realizing the vision of a world-class smart city in Vietnam. KMAC will continue to support the project in developing smart city solutions and implementation strategies and refining the criteria for a comprehensive smart city model during the operational phase.”

In March 2026, Vinhomes Green Paradise officially launched its Smart City Certification Project in partnership with WCCD, SUM, and KMAC. Under the agreed roadmap, the Interim Custom Certification represents the first major milestone in the process of assessing and refining the criteria for a comprehensive smart city model aligned with international standards.

Vinhomes Green Paradise benefits from a unique geographical setting, overlooking the Can Gio Sea and adjacent to the UNESCO-recognized Can Gio Mangrove Biosphere Reserve, which spans over 75,000 hectares. The development features a total area of 2,870 hectares, and a construction density of only 16%. Vinhomes is pioneering the project under its enhanced ESG++ model, structured around five pillars: Environment, Social, Governance, Regeneration, and Climate Adaptation.

Upon full operation, the entire urban management system will be greened, with the goal of utilizing 100% clean electricity generated from renewable energy sources and achieving 100% net-zero emission transportation. In addition to strict compliance with environmental protection standards, the project places a strong emphasis on biodiversity conservation and ecosystem regeneration, aligned with Ho Chi Minh City’s climate adaptation strategy.

To support these efforts, a Forest Regeneration and Climate Adaptation Fund will be established to finance research, restoration, and long-term resilience initiatives. A key focus of the fund is the regeneration of the Can Gio mangrove ecosystem, helping to create a protective green belt for the entire development.

With its pioneering ESG++ vision, Vinhomes Green Paradise has become the first Official Participant in the “7 Wonders of the Future Cities” campaign initiated by New7Wonders.

The award of the WCCD Interim Custom ISO 37122 Smart City Certification further reinforces Vinhomes Green Paradise’s pioneering vision in advancing a smart and sustainable urban model that meets international standards, while progressing toward becoming a benchmark future city for the region and the world.

Oudomxay Seeks More Railway Services to Boost Investment

Authorities in Oudomxay Province, northern Laos, have announced plans to expand railway services and free up land for investment around the region’s three Laos-China Railway stations.

The provincial government said on 3 August that it would set aside more than 300 hectares around Xay, Namor and Nga stations for commercial, logistics and urban development projects, as it seeks to position Oudomxay as a transport and logistics hub in the north of the country.

The announcement, reported by Oudomxay Radio and Television Station, comes as demand for both passenger and freight services on the line continues to rise.

Growing gateway

The three stations have grown in importance since the Laos-China Railway began operating in December 2021. Xay Station in particular has become what provincial governor Bounkhong Lachiemphone described as a major gateway linking five northern provinces, drawing investment in logistics facilities and cargo warehouses.

To keep pace with demand, the province plans to use the newly designated land for further commercial and industrial development around the three stations.

Bounkhong also called on railway operators to increase train frequencies or add ticket capacity at Xay Station, saying many passengers were still struggling to secure seats. He urged operators to simplify freight booking procedures, improve road access to cargo terminals, and work more closely with government agencies and businesses to support growth along the corridor.

Part of a wider push

Oudomxay’s expansion plans form part of a broader effort by Laos and its neighbours to build out regional rail connectivity.

In Thailand, bidding is due to open in December for the second phase of the Thai-Chinese high-speed railway, which will extend the line from Nakhon Ratchasima to Nong Khai, close to the Lao border. Once complete, the route is expected to link with the Laos-China Railway as part of a wider Pan-Asian network connecting China, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore.

Laos has also joined an international rail corridor linking South East Asia with Europe’s Baltic coast, after signing an OSJD agreement in Tajikistan. Officials say the move should strengthen freight links, encourage logistics investment, and reinforce the country’s role as a regional transit point.

Rapid growth since 2021

Since it opened in December 2021, the Laos-China Railway has become a significant trade and transport corridor. Official figures show it has carried more than 80 million tonnes of cargo, including over 18 million tonnes of cross-border freight, while trade along the route has reached roughly USD 11.7 billion.

Annual freight volumes have nearly doubled, from 12.47 million tonnes in 2022 to 24.48 million tonnes in 2025, while, The railway has transported more than 10 million tons of freight so far in 2026. The railway has also carried more than 73 million passengers since launching, underlining its expanding role in connecting people and markets across the region.

Vientiane Halts New Microfinance, Pawnshop Licenses Amid Regulatory Review

The Bank of Lao PDR (BoL). Vientiane Capital, Laos.

On 31 July, the Bank of the Lao PDR (BoL) suspended applications for new non-bank financial institutions in Vientiane Capital.

Effective from the announcement date onwards, the suspension applies to both domestic and foreign investors seeking to establish deposit-taking microfinance institutions, non-deposit-taking microfinance institutions, and pawnshops in the capital.

BoL said it imposed the measure to give relevant authorities time to review the current operational status of these institutions and to reorganize and tighten licensing conditions, making them stricter and more efficient.

BoL expects to reopen applications by November this year under a new set of regulations. However, the bank has not yet disclosed the details of these new rules and said it will announce them at a later date.

The suspension is not expected to immediately affect existing borrowers or customers of non-bank financial institutions, as current operators can continue providing services.

However, it could temporarily limit the expansion of new lending providers in Vientiane, while authorities review rules aimed at strengthening oversight of the sector.

BoL confirmed that investors in other provinces can continue to apply to establish financial-related institutions as normal, by submitting proposals and required documents to BoL branches in their respective provinces or regions.

Bee Choo Origin Launches Dead Sea Mud Mineral Scalp Detox Mask in Singapore

SINGAPORE – Media OutReach Newswire – 5 August 2026 — Bee Choo Origin, a Singapore-based provider of herbal hair solutions, has expanded their offerings with their new Dead Sea Mud Mineral Scalp Detox Mask. Following the brand’s 25th-anniversary milestone, this professional in-store scalp detox treatment integrates mineral-rich earth sciences with the company’s established herbal hair treatments.

Bee Choo Origin Dead Sea Mud Mineral Scalp Detox Mask
Bee Choo Origin Dead Sea Mud Mineral Scalp Detox Mask

“Skintification” of Hair Care and Common Challenges in Singapore
There has been a growing shift toward the “skinification” of hair care. This refers to the principle that the scalp, as an extension of the face, requires a similarly sophisticated, ingredient-led level of care. Modern hair care is increasingly focused on the scalp microbiome and skin health as the fundamental root of hair quality.

At the same time, Singapore’s tropical climate presents a unique set of challenges for scalp health. High humidity levels, combined with daily exposure to sweat, pollutants, and styling products, can lead to clogged pores, excess oil production, and persistent dandruff. These conditions often disrupt the scalp’s natural balance, which may contribute to weakened hair roots and slower regrowth over time. While shampoos and conditioners play a role in daily maintenance, they may not always provide the deeper level of cleansing required to remove buildup.

Recognising this gap, Bee Choo Origin developed the Dead Sea Mud Mineral Scalp Detox Mask to complement its holistic hair care philosophy, bridging the gap between daily hygiene and professional-grade mineral nourishment.

Powered by Dead Sea Minerals and Herbal Formulations
The Dead Sea is known for its unique mineral composition, with concentrations of magnesium, calcium, and potassium that are higher than in any other body of water. These minerals play important roles in supporting moisture balance and soothing scalp discomfort by drawing out deep-seated impurities, promoting a healthier scalp environment overall.

What makes this treatment distinctive is the combination of these mineral benefits with Bee Choo Origin herbal formulations. While the Dead Sea minerals help detoxify and replenish the scalp, the herbal blend soothes and nourishes, allowing the scalp to be deeply cleansed without compromising its natural moisture balance.

A Treatment Experience Designed for Simplicity
The treatment process is designed to be straightforward without compromising on care and attentiveness. First, the Daily Barrier Scalp and Hair Defense Oil is applied and a gentle massage is performed to soften and condition the scalp. This is followed by applying the mineral-rich scalp mask, which is left on for a short period to allow the minerals to interact with the scalp and draw out impurities.

Unlike more intensive procedures, the Dead Sea Mud Mineral Scalp Detox Mask does not require steaming and can be completed within a relatively short session, making it suitable for clients who wish to incorporate scalp care into their busy routine. Each session concludes with a thorough cleanse and light conditioning, leaving the scalp feeling refreshed and the hair easy to manage. For some, the scalp mask serves as a standalone reset; for others, it is used alongside the existing herbal treatments from Bee Choo Origin as part of a broader care plan. It also serves as an alternative for customers who prefer the cleansing effects of a professional treatment without the temporary colouring that comes with certain herbal pastes.

A Continued Focus on Holistic Scalp and Hair Care
As Bee Choo Origin enters its 26th year, the introduction of the Dead Sea Mud Mineral Scalp Detox Mask represents an extension of the brand’s focus on scalp health. By offering this as both a standalone option and a complementary add-on to its Signature Herbal Treatment, the company continues to provide nature-based solutions tailored to local needs.
