Vientiane Motor Expo 2016: A Chance to Rev Up the Vehicle Market
The Vientiane International Motor Expo expects to expand opportunities for vehicle importers, provide a platform for networking between industry leaders, and help drive vehicle business growth in Laos.
The Vientiane International Motor Expo 2016 is scheduled at Lao-ITECC from September 30 to October 6 and is co-organised by the Trade and Product Promotion Department and Entertainment Event Organiser.
The event will showcase advanced technologies in a variety of different vehicle products.
This year’s Motor Expo is titled “Powerful Drive of the World” in response to the country’s economic growth and the idea that Lao people need more modern cars imported from other countries, according to a representative of the Trade and Product Promotion Department under the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.
“The Motor Expo will help to drive business integration in the region, open up a wider vehicle market in Laos and raise the profile of the country on the international stage,” President of PP Group, Mr Phonechan Phaengsuvanh, said at a press conference on the expo.
According to a press release the event will be the biggest ever automobile expo in Laos. Vehicles on display will range from motorbikes to luxury cars and will also feature many car accessories.
There will also be a seminar to share information technology currently being used in the car industry, allowing buyers and sellers to meet each other anywhere in the world.
As Laos prepares to host the Asean Summit in September, car manufacturing companies from the Asean and Asean+3 nations have also been invited to display their products at the expo.
With free entrance and seven days of display, the expo is expected to attract thousands of visitors each day.
