Road Accidents Continue to Spike at Weekends

Accidents continue to plague the roads across Laos over the weekends, with the expressway becoming a flashpoint for severe crashes.

A car accident occurred in Luang Prabang Province on Sunday, leaving eight people injured, with no deaths reported.

The accident happened in Saensouk Village, Luang Prabang District of Luang Prabang Province.

Eight people were injured, including a Thai national. All accident victims all are now in hospital, with no loss of life, Vientiane Times reports.

The two vehicles involved in the accident were heavily damaged.

Meanwhile, an accident was reported on the same day along the Vientiane to Vang Vieng Expressway, according to a report by a popular social media page, Tholakhong.

The accident, involving only one vehicle, occurred in Boua Village, Nasaythong District, Vientiane Capital. A woman was flung from her vehicle during the crash, suffering serious injuries.
