The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Laos, Saleumxay Kommasith, will pay an official visit to Japan from 7 to 11 November, at the invitation of the Japanese Foreign Minister, Kamikawa Yoko.

The visit aims to further strengthen the long-standing friendship and cooperation between the two countries, which was upgraded to a strategic partnership in 2015.

Recently, in early October, Saluemxay also welcomed his Japanese counterpart Kamikawa to Laos as part of her trip to four ASEAN countries, which included Brunei, Vietnam, and Thailand.
