The Lao Digital Government Center introduced Gov-X, a comprehensive application providing users with information and diverse government services, on 2 November.

The app is available for download on both the Play Store and App Store, providing citizens with a convenient and centralized platform for accessing a wide array of government services.

As detailed on the Center’s Facebook page, Gov-X offers a user-friendly interface for accessing a multitude of government services. Through the app, users can now register their SIM cards, download digital forms and documents (such as divorce certificates, passport-related forms, and powers of attorney), and learn about social security.

The application also enables users to digitize official documents, including E-driving licenses, identity cards, and passports. Additionally, one can check business registration status and explore Khangpanya, a library that offers educational resources such as textbooks of every subject included in the national curriculum from grades 1 to 12, lesson plans, and teacher guidelines.

Gov-X is the result of collaboration between the Ministry of Technology and Communications and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

The application’s content is expected to expand in the future to enhance the overall experience of the users.
