Lao Brewery Company (LBC), through its flagship drinking water brand Tigerhead and isotonic beverage Revive, marked its fifth consecutive year as presenting sponsor of the Vientiane International Marathon (VIM) 2025, reinforcing its long-term commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles and community well-being.
Held on 14 December, the fifth edition of Laos’ biggest annual marathon running event achieved a record-breaking turnout, with over 7,000 runners at the starting line, a 56 percent increase from the approximately 4,500 participants in VIM 2024. Athletes from 45 nationalities joined the event, demonstrating its growing regional and international appeal.
The marathon further highlighted Laos as an emerging destination for international sporting events and showcased its positive impact on the country’s economy, tourism, and service sectors.
In the full marathon category, Dariusz Bemben from Poland won the men’s category, while Napatsorn Panthatawewit from Thailand secured first place in the women’s category.
Commenting on LBC’s continued sponsorship, Henrik Juel Andersen, Managing Director of LBC, said:
“For five consecutive years, we have proudly supported the Vientiane International Marathon because it reflects the values we stand for, health, community, and sustainable progress. Our commitment to producing high-quality drinking water is grounded in the belief that quality is essential, especially when it comes to health”.
LBC ensured that all participants had access to premium hydration throughout the race.
“Through Tigerhead and Revive, we (LBC) strive to promote active lifestyles and better well-being, while supporting the broader economic and tourism development of Laos,” Andersen said.
