Electricité du Laos (EDL) will cut power across six Vientiane districts from 26 to 30 June for maintenance and infrastructure upgrades.
According to the notice issued on 24 and 25 June, outage times vary by location.
Xaythany district faces the heaviest disruption, with several villages losing power for most of the day on three separate dates.
Khoknoy and Khokyai villages, near National Stadium KM16, lost power on 26 June from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Somsavanh, Phonsavanh, Khoksawang, Phailom, Thanak, and Khoksivilay villages will face the same hours on 27 June, along with a shorter morning outage in Thasawang village. Khoksivilay, Thanak, and Nonthong villages will then lose power again on 28 June, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Sikhottabong district follows closely, with outages spread across three dates.
Nongniew, Dongnathong, Nongtaeng, Pakthang, and the Northern Bus Station area will lose power briefly on 27 June. Nahae, Nonsawang, Viengsavanh, Sisomsuen, and Donzingxou villages will face a longer cut on 28 June, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Dongnathong, Nongtaeng, and Pakthang villages will lose power again on 30 June.
Sisattanak district will see Sokpaluang, Buengkhayong, and Thatkhao villages lose power for most of the day on 27 June, from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
Xaysettha district will lose power twice.
Doung, Haikham, and Nakhuay villages will be affected on both 27 and 28 June for about three hours in the morning, while Phonthong village will also lose power on 27 June from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Hatsayfong district will see Nahai village lose power on the morning of 28 June for three hours.
Chanthabouly district will see the shortest outage, with Phontongsavard, Phontong Chommany, and Dongpalaep villages losing power early on 28 June.
EDL urged residents to prepare in advance and apologized for the inconvenience.
