Starting 15 January, Lao Airlines has added an extra flight on the Vientiane-Pakse route that will operate every Sunday morning.
Owing to the peak tourist season, Lao Airlines now has one extra direct flight to Pakse every Sunday.
The QV307 flight leaves Vientiane at 07:30 am and lands in Pakse at 08:45 am, while the QV308 flight leaves at 09:25 am and lands in Pakse at 10:40 am, according to Lao Airlines’ Facebook page.
Additionally, there is a direct flight on weekdays and Saturdays that leaves from Vientiane at 8:05 am and reaches Pakse at 9:05 am.
The starting price for a direct flight for a Vientiane-Pakse round trip is around USD 140.
The district has been garnering a lot of international attention after CNN mentioned Pakse as one of the top underrated places in Asia in its article in December last year.
As per the airlines’ winter schedule, direct domestic flights are available between Vientiane, Luang Namtha, Luang Prabang, Savannakhet, Xieng Khouang, and Pakse.
The airlines recently also announced its plans to operate more international flights from Vientiane Capital to several cities in China.
